Micro Aggressions 101
Someone just called me aggressive for asking it(they use it/its pronouns) what it liked about season two. And what made everything everyone was saying so “nitpicky”. This person was black btw. I, a Black woman, got called “aggressive” by another Black person for ASKING A QUESTION about what it liked about season two. You can’t make this shit up!!!
I can’t believe y’all are falling over yourselves to defend that bullshit. Y’all got it🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️

going to be honest, i came into the astro community knowing there is this issue going unsolved. because I see a lot of people on here firstly, extremely ignorant of world issues, problems people face, and even blatantly disregarding them or finding it unimportant. you don’t get to be sensitive about the fact that you were racist, doing micro-aggressive things like using AAVE language when you’re a non-black person (ONE of the extremely common things that happen here), or after being called out for making a person uncomfortable and angry. There’s just too many ppl that like problematic groups on here as well. you don’t get to be reactive, deny or even talk down to a person when someone tells you it’s racist, sexist, etc. sure you can make mistakes, but you fucking learn and you apologise and you don’t excuse your behaviour or expect forgiveness and shit. you take ACCOUNTABILITY instead of trying to save your shallow reputation and you do it because you know you’re hurting a lot of people/minorities if you continue that behaviour and you own up to it. I can’t believe this isn’t a normal, expected, decent thing to do here.
Hey yeah this? Don't do this. Don't give weird nicknames to native people. ESPECIALLY if you're not native. You wouldn't call some random chinese girl you don't know China lily then try to pass it off as okay. I am not Rain Flower. Or dances in rain. Or native princess. I am not any racist made up thing you think is a compliment. Exotifying native names is not a compliment. Changing my name is not a compliment.
I don't need reminders from random white people how to respect and appreciate my ancestors. My existence is not an opportunity to start spewing made up philosophy so you can live whatever weird mystical Indian fantasy you're putting yourself in. We're not "connected on some great spiritual level" or soul cousins or whatever fake thing you make up. You're not part native "on your great great great grandpas side"
Leave native people alone and stop fantasizing our existence

Challenge #02311-F121: Intuitively Harmless
Chinese Water Torture is in the best cases extremely effective and in the worst cases useless against Humans. It's debatable.
Unsurprisingly Aliens of all species are not familiar with it and subsequently belong to the first Category. -- Anon Guest
One drop... falls. It lands on the brow of the captive, who cannot escape its icy touch. One drop of water is no physical harm to anyone. Theoretically, they could eventually fill the room, were it not well drained. Some drops don't even make it as far as the drains, evaporating from the captive's skin and hair.
Another drop, and another, and another, raining down in slow and steady beats. It's the kind of force that wears holes into stones. It's the kind of force that wears away mountains. It is the relentless force that could tunnel through to the centre of the world, should nothing else stop it.
But it is a single drop of water. There's no way that one drop could hurt or harm a living being. After the third hour of one drop after another, that truth seems less and less likely. Every drop is like a bullet. Time ticks away, and the captive starts to dread the next drop.
