I have figured out. The funniest fucking thing in Stranger Things. 

In 2x02, when El is watching her Soaps, she’s watching All My Children. The lady is Erica Kane, and the guy in the clip? That’s her kindaHusband/Lover/Boyfriend back in fall of 1984, Mike Roy. Of all the daytime soaps, El picked fucking All My Children because ERICA’S BOYFRIENDS’ NAME WAS MIKE. I’M DYING. THIS IS THE FUNNIEST THING EVER. 

(there’s a chance that’s not Mike in the clip, I’ve yet to figure out the episode that scene is from. BUT Mike was (kinda) her husband in late October of 1984)
