shane hollander would be so interesting as a werewolf in the teen wolf universe because he would be so similar to normal shane. i think he'd have excellent control to the point where he rarely if ever let himself shift. maybe it's not so much control as just suppressing that part of himself to the point where letting go would be difficult. he would struggle with the heightened senses obviously and i think it would be a more extreme version of the sensory issues i imagine he has with autism. but he learns to ignore and cope.

i imagine him only really starting to "lose control" (show any sign of wolfiness at all) around ilya. ilya pisses him off so much that his fangs come out, his claws, his eyes. ilya speaking to his baser instincts of fighting and fucking. ilya loves this.

i think it's only after he gets together with ilya that he starts embracing some parts of his lycanthropy and even then it's only when they're out that he really does.

Any hollanov people watch X-men? Cause I’m thinking a powers/mutant AU where Ilya has gambit’s powers and Shane has Jean Grey’s powers. And Ilya can kinda manipulate people the way his dad did and hates it, and Shane can hear what everyone is thinking even when they don’t say it and he hates it and works really hard to block other people out.

But Shane has only been able to read Rozanov a few times, and it was garbled until Ilya made eye contact with him across the building and shut him out. And Shane’s met a few people who he can’t read, usually other psychics, but he’s never had anyone like, shut him out like that?

And then our Tampa scene where Ilya can’t say it out loud so he just lets his mental walls down so Shane can read whatever he wants, thinking Shane won’t want everything he sees and hears, but it’s all Shane has ever wanted actually and he loves him more for it.
