I have so many intensely intimate whumper ideas but they're just VIBES! Vibes of Whumper seducing Whumpee into a sense of calm while their minds are eroded. Coaxing them into a mental labyrinth of guilt and loneliness where Whumper is their only solace; their only refuge from the sins of their twisted past. And then, when Whumpee is able to accept themselves, to find the way to escape, does Whumper draw them back in? Or do they let Whumpee go, a little proud of the fact that Whumpee could slip free? Perhaps they talk on the threshold, Whumper whispering gently in Whumpee's ear; Whumpee leaned against them for one last time, knowing they have to leave this place, but wishing Whumper would come, too. Wishing everything wasn't a lie. Wishing they could just stay in this Limbo as Whumper begins to kiss and love them... "I have to go," they gasp, fighting back tears, "You know I have to, Whumper." "But I'll be alone," Whumper pleads, lips ghosting Whumpee's body. They wrap their arms around Whumper's, "Come with me--" "There's no place in your world for me." "Then why did you bring me here?" Whumpee asks. "Why did you trap me in my mind?" "You're different--" "I'm not! You know I'm not! I'm just the loser who let you get too close--" "Then keep me close, Whumpee. No one owns me the way you can." "Stop," Whumpee begs, heart shattering, "I thought you were my friend." "I kept you safe..." "You lied to me." "Lies are what brought you to me. The truth would have broken you." "No--" "That's what makes it hurt. So, so much." "Whumper--" and Whumpee kisses Whumper's lips.

Maybe to silence them. Maybe to know the feeling, just once, before they part.

Whumper catches the kiss as if they've been waiting for Whumpee. The little breath they share vanishes in the force of their kiss.

The walls give way, darkness churns around them, but Whumpee holds on, knowing every second that passes will take Whumper away.

The kiss breaks first.

"Whumper--stay--?"

A final glance. Flash of a smile.

Goodbye.

Then, absence. Everything quiets.

And Whumpee opens their eyes...

New look, New edition

This cover was done by violentlyCurly (https://violentlycurly.com), and I'm so happy with the way it turned out!

The ebook edition should be available within 24 hours (of 2/21/2022 at 3pm Eastern time), and that includes making the updates available to all previous purchasers of the Kindle edition. I'll get it to Smashwords today as well. The print edition will take a bit longer because I'm having problems with Amazon, but hopefully within 48 hours or so that'll be straight too.
