Genuinely one of my most hated updates that no one seems to talk about ever is that Minecraft, after the whole account migration thing, at some point silently implimented that you NEED an xbox account to play java edition and that you simply cannot escape it. I've looked for a solution to avoid or stop this so many times and NOTHING ever comes up about it. Nobody Ever talked about it other than like two other people. Why did we just let them do that ?

Like idk man now I can't log in to minecraft without being forced to make a new account on xbox and make an entirely new username and possibly lose all my hypixel stats and current MICROSOFT account that I still use on my home pc. I just hate this so much and I feel like I'm the only one to complain about it !!!

Genuinely if someone has a magical solution to this or something like that I am desperate and ready to try it but. Dear god this shouldn't be an issue in the first place.

So... today I found out that I have two Minecraft accounts. The thing is, I did not purchase two. Before Minecraft Java and Minecraft Bedrock were sold as a bundle, Microsoft offered me a free Bedrock account. I took it, but later on I wanted to change my username but couldn't so I made a new Microsoft account with a new username. (You only needed an account that owned Bedrock in order install it and any Microsoft account would work after). Later down the line when Mojang accounts were being migrated, I migrated my Java account to the newer Microsoft account. It turns out, now that Java and Bedrock Edition are bundled, I have two Java and Bedrock accounts. I'm surprised that Microsoft didn't foresee that this could happen.
