getting more serious lore was fun but i’m glad more silly aspects are back
this doesn’t mean the serious episodes are bad! i did really like them! they just felt like they were something else entirely and took away from what we’d come to know for over a decade. i feel like tpot 21 was a good balance, and while i personally can’t wait for the return of generally silly episodes, i don’t mind if they stay this way for a bit. even in the earlier episodes there was some seriousness, and it worked fine! i just feel like pure/majority seriousness doesn’t work well for the show.^_^
Nozomi: What are you staring at me for, you commoner? Shouldn’t you refrain from fixing such an impudent gaze on me?
...You were hesitating over whether it was okay to speak?
Ah, is it because I've been looking at myself in the mirror? This is the time I've decided to do it[1]. Surely you have your own rules, too, right?
💬 None in particular, I think…?
Nozomi: Failing to come up with an answer right away is proof enough that you haven't given it much thought.
Despite all that, Juis has shown a strange interest in you, so I’m finding you more and more distasteful.
If you wish to speak with me, do some more self-analysis before you come back.

Translator’s Note:
-> [1] Nozomi has a "rule book" he uses to guide his behaviors and appear more human. This one is rule 3, which states: "Forty-one minutes past the hour, view one's own reflection."
I played Mouthwashing for me and my friends on Discord and all I will say is that 1) Anya deserved so much better and 2) this game will probably stick with me for awhile.
It started with someone getting a potion on them and becoming trans (ena uses he/him pronouns now) and ended with our resident cat becoming 8 feet tall and deaf and me becoming old and wise (my intelligence stat is plus two).
