Hi there!
The exam session is coming up soon so the main thing I've been doing is studying. I came home for the weekend just so I could sleep with my cat, haha.
Today I studied for the total of 8 hours, and it's a lot for me. I did notes from two subjects (computer surgery tools and biochemistry; I've decided to retake the biochemistry final because the grade isn't satisfying enough for me for a subject that i enjoy so much), finished taking notes for the math theoretical exam and memorized most of it (it's 31 pages...).
Either way, I'm tired so that's it for today. Perhaps if i shortened my breaks from 2h to 1h it'd be more efficient haha
Hope y'all pass your exams,
Anna 🫀

Hi there!
Today was a pretty great day, I'd say 9/10. It would be 10/10 if I didn't bump my left knee three times in 10 minutes on three different objects.
I woke up early today and studied maths (I skip 1.5 hour lectures and learn all the materials in 15 minutes on the day of the practical classes or the day before) for the total of two hours - new material from lectures, revision from last topic and a lot of homework exercises. In the math class I solved almost every question correctly, and got bonus points for my final grade for writing the exercises down on a board. I might start to understand calculus finally. (The exercises in the photo are wrong and I do realize now, after waking up properly that they're not even written correctly, but they remind me of that wallpaper with wrong formulas in my high school's physics classroom. Never believe anything you see. Especially on the internet).
My day today was mostly maths and the party I wrote about yesterday. I'm glad I didn't drink anything because I for sure will have a lot to remember from this night (I love being sober around drunk people, especially when there's two sober people and a whole lot of the drunk ones). The guy I was so worried about due to our weird history turned out to be nice today. We are in a lot of projects and with other people, and while that's weird and we don't talk that much, we can actually behave like adults.
Today I also discovered that despite all the downs, I find my current life to be enjoyable and I think I'm really happy. Oh, and my favourite colour now is red.
During the weekend I have to write two lab reports and study for the biochemistry exam next week. If I have time, I'll also solve some physics questions for another exam and maybe open the Spanish textbook for once. Long story short, I don't have to participate in the Spanish classes, but I still have to pass them, so I haven't been to one since October and there's an exam from the whole semester coming up, somewhere in the future. Don't worry, I have passed all the tests during office hours.
There's a lot more on my mind, but I really want to sleep, so remember to study first, then party, and I'll see you in the next one!

Hi there!
Two days ago I got my wisdom tooth extracted. It turned out that my dentist did have a spot open an hour after I called, and by today it doesn't even hurt. What hurts me is that i can only eat cold foods and it is winter (currently -7°C), so i am freezing. I can't even drink warm coffee to wake up and I prefer drinking warm water. In silence I shall suffer. Well, not really in silence because I'm pretty verbal about that.
As for my studies, it's not going really great - I have a physics exam in 9 hours and while i do have notes, I don't understand anything. Also I still don't really care about passing which i find concerning at the same time. Today I studied physics for around 2 hours and had biochemistry labs that went terribly wrong. For four tasks we had to do, we only did three and none of them showed any reaction. Yikes. Oh, and I resigned from one of the students organisations because I don't have time nor energy to deal with it.
My friend came to study with me, which ended up in both of us not studying and when she left, my roommate came in, so also no studying then.
Tomorrow I have the physics test and classes, then I have to go to the police station because I got a ticket for incorrect parking (on a private property owned by my university lmao), buy a gift for my friends birthday party on Friday and study for maths. And maybe start writing some lab reports from December, whoopsie.
I also have a question, if anyone ever reads this far into my entries - how do you focus and study when your brain isn't braining? I need to study, but there's no point if I don't remember anything afterwards.
Hope you have a great time and park safe,
Anna 🫀

Hi there!
I got my worst grade today ever and I actually think it's kind of funny. From the biochemistry test, for which I studied a lot I got the whole 3%. I was sure i got at least 50%, but I did sleep like 2 hours the night before. But my friends also didn't pass so we're in it together.
After classes I went to my friend who just bought a new coffee machine and let me tell you, I'll be there more often. My instant coffee doesn't even compare. Oh and she got me some beautiful dried flowers which I separated and put into two mugs because I don't have any pretty vases. It's a dorm after all. My beer pints now serve as vases for flowers and I feel like I'm getting older. I even grow the green leaves from onions on my window (in cans from energy drinks...).
I studied the total of 4.5 hours, all math. I have an exam in a week but there's a lot more I have to study for, so I began earlier than usual (once again, I feel like I'm aging). I spent an hour doing 4 homework exercises and I did 32 out of 41 questions for the theoretical test. For the first time this semester I skipped a party with my friends (another reason for me aging rapidly) and cleaned my room. I don't recognise myself.
Welp, the exam session is starting soon so I'll be TIRED. But maybe I'll finally learn something.
Have fun and study for your exams,
Anna 🫀

I think it's time for me to restart posting here again, as the fall is approaching and with it, the dreaded academic year.
I have improved my entrance exams scores, but not enough for me to get into medicine, therefore, this year I will be taking them again. Despite the little time I had last year, I decided to enroll into biotechnology course, where I can hopefully skip some classes as I have already completed this part of material, tho in different language.
I also want to write the Celpe-Bras exam in spring. This year I missed the application date by two days, so I better prepare for it. It seems that the closest examination centers are in Germany, Slovakia and Italy, so maybe I'll skip a few days and merge it with a recreational stay?
To sum my thoughts up, my plans for this semester are as follow:
At least 0.5 hour daily of Portuguese - preferably more, because my favourite study method is watching an episode of a show in this language and trying to understand it without (too frequently) checking the vocab, then rewatching it and noting every new expression, even if I understand it but do not recall ever seeing it before, then translating and making flashcards. It takes me approximately 5 hours per one episode, but I really hope that by January it will be up to 30 minutes of additional work;
At least 3 hours weekly of biology revision;
At least 3 hours weekly of chemistry revision;
At least 2 hours weekly of intense movement. I no longer have PE and thus will not have scheduled time for working out, but I'd love to either join a uni swimming group (if they let me without barely any experience) or going to the gym;
Work. I hate working. And I'm too stupid for a scholarship, yippe.
Before the semester starts again, I will increase the time I send studying those matters, to get in the mood of university again.
Well, that may be it. I think I'll start posting daily or weekly again, it's a nice way to keep track of my time after all.
See you all later!
