LiFE- Lifestyles for environment @IIT Delhi, New Delhi

Mission LiFE i.e. lifestyle for environment has been launched by honorable Minister, Ministry of Environment Forest and climate change at IIT Delhi on 29th July 2024. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi introduces Mission LiFE to the world at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow. Ministry of Environment Forest and climate change launched nationwide initiative call for ideas4LiFE under the leadership of the honorable Minister. 45 students of Dronacharya College of Engineering with Prof. Dr. Vaishali Dixit and Prof. Dr. Kunal attended the event. Mission LiFE Is an India-led global mass movement to nudge individual and community action to protect and preserve the environment. Mission Lifestyle for Environment recognises that Indian culture and living traditions are inherently sustainable. The importance of conserving our precious natural resources and living in harmony with nature are emphasised in our ancient scriptures. The need of the hour is to tap into that ancient wisdom and spread the message to as many people as possible. Mission LiFE seeks to channel the efforts of individuals and communities into a global mass movement of positive behavioural change.

HEBREWS 13:15 “Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.” To praise God in our times of extreme hardship and sorrows requires personal sacrifice. It takes an act of the will to lay our all on the altar before a God we don’t understand. When we bring a "sacrifice of praise," we choose to believe that God is still good and can be trusted. When we choose to praise God in spite of the storms, He is honored, and our faith grows deeper. It is why, many times, the mission trips I lead or help lead, are lead with a spirit of praise and worship. I partner with pastors that know their communities and know their people. The team is consisted of vocalist, musicians, teachers that love to worship and praise. Yes we'll worship services nightly but we visit homes. We sit in front porches, stand in their kitchens and living 'spaces'; in hopes that in the lyrics and melodies, our suffering brothers and sisters can be uplifted and grow in faith.⁣⁣
