Chaos Classcember Day 14: Total Drama

Here's another Classcember oneshot. This one's a bit longer because I really wanted an elimination story to add a bit more impact to the original scene.

Marinette is currently sitting curled up against a tree, crying against it since she knows she's going home today due to messing up the challenge because of her jealousy.

She and the rest of the Miraculous Ladybugs were so close to winning today and finally breaking their losing streak against the Chaotic Cats. But she let Lila get into her head about Adrien and Sabrina's blooming friendship, and it caused her to sabotage Sabrina at the last second. Worst of all, Ivan saw her do it and told the others.

"Idiot, idiot, idiot." She keeps telling herself as she cries.

"...Marinette?" A quiet, hesitant female voice asks in a worried tone.

Marinette freezes when she hears the all too familiar voice of her former friend and person on the rival team.

Summary: Gabriel decides to tell Adrien the truth about Hawkmoth while Adrien stumbles onto a truth of his own.

There was no blood.

Skin, or what should have been skin, peeled back to reveal metal bones and veins of wire.

"Kid..."

Adrien pulled on the fake tissue. Watching as the biomimicry of his internal structure flexed in response to the pain that didn't come.

"Kid!"

He remembered his fifth birthday. Standing on the chair to blow out his candles because his body was too small. Remembered when he peeled off the tux that was squeezing him because he'd grown too big for it. Adrien remembered his childhood...

Didn't he?

"Adrien!"

His eyes snapped into focus. Plagg trying to pry his fingers away from the flap of fake skin that Adrien was pulling, pulling, pull-

Adrien let go and collapsed to his knees. Whatever technology he was made out of already working to repair him. The numbness fading and a burning itch taking it's place.

Fake pain. To prevent... damage.

A paw was placed on his cheek. Big green eyes gazing into his. Moisture congealed on the surface of his optical receptors. Simulating tears.

"P-Plagg?" His voice broke. "D-does this mean I c-can't be Chat Noir anymore?"

Plagg's tail stilled. "... You're not getting rid of me that easily," he promised.

Adrien nodded as his artificial heart slowed. The servos in his legs taking a long time to reboot.

Summary: A certain cat themed superhero is given a day full of respect and appreciation by his city and his friends, in honor of International Cat Day.

Mid-August was one of Chat Noir’s favorite times of year. Most of the locals found themselves on vacations with their families for at least a week or two, and the streets were littered with more tourists than people who would recognize him, or expect something from him. It was the perfect time to watch his city and go unnoticed.

And that was what he did, perched above the city on the peak of an apartment building. The late afternoon sun was bright on his back, and if he’d truly been a cat, he would have sprawled out under its rays long ago for a sweet afternoon nap. He yawned quietly, stretching his arms over his head and struggling to keep himself standing for a moment. When the yawn had passed, it left behind a dust of sleepiness and he leaned against the chimney behind him, tipping his head back to absorb the light for just a moment…

“-Noir! Chat Noir, are you okay?” echoed a familiar voice from down below him. His eyes blinked open, struggling to stay like that as he looked down.

“Alya?” he asked, stumbling a little as he pushed off from the chimney and slid down his staff to ground level. “How can I help you, good citizen?”

Alya rolled her eyes, raising a brow at him. “Are you alright? I called out to you several times,” she said, the concern in her expression wrinkling her forehead.

“Of course! Just resting my eyes,” he said, grinning. “Takes plenty of beauty rest to make these cat eyes look so good,” he added with a wink and a slight laugh, leaning against his staff at his side.

“Do you normally drool while ‘resting your eyes’?” she asked, a grin of her own slipping onto her lips as she pulled up a photo on her phone.

The screen contained an image of Chat Noir, slumped back against the chimney and slack-jawed, looking dead to the entire world, and sure enough, a trail of drool glistening at the corner of his lips.

Chat could feel his entire face flame up, redness flaring up from under his skin as he stared at the photo in horror. He swiped at the side of his mouth hastily. “Delete that, I am begging you, Alya,” he pleaded, reaching for her phone immediately.

She danced out of reach, backing up and holding her phone close to her chest. “Why? Scared a certain someone will see you slacking off on patrol? Or is it just that it’s an unflattering angle?”

“First of all, I have no unflattering angles,” he said, reaching out again for the phone only for her to dodge the attempt once again. “And second, we don’t even have any scheduled patrols, I’m out here for personal gain!”

Felinette November - Day 1: New Recipes

Marinette likes experimenting with what's edible. Félix doesn't like being her main taster.

The rhythmic cracking of ambers bundled Félix in a protective and warm bubble as he lazily flipped a page of the book propped up on his lap, back resting on soft pillows. The house was silent, for once, and the fireplace’s soft light was enough for him to have a peaceful read without hurting his eyes.

So of course it wouldn’t last long.

The lights switched on with a bang—that switch was still going to break one of these days—and pounding footsteps eagerly approached the low couch chairs by the heart. Félix could only sigh and put his book aside as a tray was smacked on the center table in front of him.

He lifted his eyes to a beaming Marinette with yellow, pink, and blue powder smeared on her face and clothes that he honestly didn’t want to know anything about. Which was a surprise for his curious nature, but Marinette, somehow, made even him wary of new discoveries.

“What is it now,” he asked cautiously, poking the blue cube and scrunching up his nose when it wiggled.

“Just jelly!” She took a seat across from him, putting an elbow on the table and placing her chin on a palm. “Come on–” She pushed the tray to him. “The taste is divine, you have to try it.”

He arched a brow at her. “Did you taste it first?”

She bit the inside of her cheeks.

Félix grabbed his book and stood up.

“Nooooooo! Félix, pleeeeaaaaaase!” She leaned over the table, pushing the tray aside as she grasped his wrist. “I need an impartial judge! I can’t criticize my own cooking properly.”

“Translating,” Félix said, groaning as he let her pull him back to his sitting position. “You need someone that still has a decent paladar.”

Marinette humphed and crossed her arms. “There’s nothing wrong with my paladar, thank you very much.”

“Love, you swear that crickets are just like crackers.”

“If they’re crispy enough, people can’t even tell the difference! And they have way more nutritional value.”

Félix took in a whimpering breath, eyeing the three blocks of “jelly” in front of him with a frown tugging at his mouth.

“If I take one bite and not like it, the kitchen is off-limits for you for a week.”

Marinette grinned. “Deal.”

Félix narrowed his eyes at her. “The grill and the basement too.” He paused with a thoughtful look. “And the fireplace.”

Her pupils dilated the slightest bit, but the smile remained in place as she nodded in agreement.

Contented, he took the spoon from the trail and, after a deep inhale, took a bite out of the pink cube.

Marinette watched with bated breath as he swallowed the contents, fists pressed on her lap, no doubt to keep them from fidgeting.

“So?” She asked, anticipation and nervousness lacing her voice when he didn’t say anything.

Félix closed his eyes and blew out a sigh. “Dammit.” He picked up the pink jelly’s plate and took another spoonful out of it.

“Yes!” Marinette jumped up, punching the air. “Hah! Take that! You’re not getting away from my amazing cooking that easily.”

“I swear you’re scheming to kill my tastebuds,” Félix muttered in-between bites, a smile playing at his lips.

“I mean–” Marinette came behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck, resting her chin on his shoulder. “–if it made you consider–”

“No. No way in hell I’m eating worms.”

I can imagine Adrien not quite being sure how to express how much he loves Marinette to her when they get together.

Like, he grew up in a house where 'I love you' was quite rarely said, and so he has a sort of fixation with the phrase because unlike most people he knows how much it hurts not to hear it.

Even if it is implied or whatever, he likes to say it aloud and he does as often as possible.

But his father showed his love for him as a child by spoiling him, and so Adrien believes that's an important part of showing love too.

As a result, he buys Marinette gifts all the time.

A ridiculously expensive necklace because the diamond is the same colour as her eyes. Roses at least once a week. A new sewing machine because she mentioned hers was getting a little slow. Metres of expensive fabrics because he thinks she will like them.

Marinette, who didn't grow up particularly rich and is sick of being called Adrien Agrestes sugar baby, tells him to stop because she doesn't need all this stuff.

Adrien frets, thinking she doesn't want his gifts. His signs of love. Ohmygod what if she doesn't want my love in general anymore?

She's caught off guard by his adverse reaction and after she calms him down enough to explain why he started to cry in the first place, she understands.

"You know I will still love you even if you don't spend hundreds on me, right?"

"I just want you to feel loved" he murmured in response, staring at the ground.

"I do. Every day. When you hold my hand and kiss me. When you tell me you do. You don't need to shower me with gifts to make me know you love me."

Adrien nodded, sniffling and hugging her.

"I love you, Marinette" he said, and she smiled.

"I love you too, Adrien."

And if he shows up in a weeks time with a bracelet he just had to get her, she lets him off.

Old habits die hard, after all, and teaching Adrien to let go of his warped perceptions of love that his father had wired into him wouldn't be a single conversation thing.

Plus, she supposed it is quite a cute bracelet, and the glare Chloe sends her when she walks into class wearing it is pretty priceless.

Ladybug & Volpina oneshot

Lila Rossi had never had many friends growing up thanks to her mother the Italian ambassador moving them about until they had recently settled in Paris, France. She had tried to get herself noticed by prior classmates with tall tales and a desire to not only become popular but be more than just a diplomat's daughter. She had gotten to know her new classmates and two caught her eye.

There was Adrien Agreste the rich boy model but he seemed passive to his childhood friend and the class bully the spoiled daughter of the mayor Chloe Bourgeois who more than lived up to the stories that she had heard from the other students. She was totally head over heels over him and Lila decided that trying to be with Adrien wouldn't be worth it since he seemed to be more about keeping the peace and trying to make excuses for Chloe and it wouldn't be worth it if Chloe came after her for competition.

However the other classmate that caught her eye was Marinette Dupain-Cheng the clumsy bakery's daughter who was an aspiring fashion designer (a not unimpressive one at that) and Chloe's favourite daughter. She was utterly adorable and pretty especially with how fluttered she was at the slightest flirting.

Not long after she had offered Marinette to share her umbrella during the rain which she appreciated and Lila asked if she wanted to go out some time on a date but would be fine if she turned her down since it was too early. Marinette ended up accepting and soon they were the class couple.

Lila took delight in flustering Marinette softly and would make snide remarks against Chloe's insults and would help her against Chloe's antics. Lila had told Marinette to ignore Adrien when she was trying to make her feel guilty about Chloe throwing a tantrum in wanting to move to New York with her mother. Lila was instantly accepted by Marinette's parents when she came over to the bakery for the first time and liked to model her girlfriend's designs especially when they started up Marinette's website along with Marinette's best friend Alya.

It was helping her getting a shot as a model for the Agreste brand with them and the class happy for her.

Right now the two of them and Alya were in Marinette's room as Alya was trying on the new Ladybug jacket with Lila loving it despite not being a fan of Ladybug. "I will have to be sure to keep it safe since in fifteen years it will be worth a lot of money. You know being one of the first official products of Marinette Dupain-Cheng the superstar designer whose top model is her wife Lila Dupain-Cheng." Lila told her and Marinette was embarrassed.

"You are giving too big expectations of me Lila... Wait wife?" Marinette asked freezing on the spot.

"I spoilt the surprise; I plan on proposing as soon as we are adults..." Lila laughed as Marinette fainted with a thud on the floor. Lila panicked shaking her to get up saying "Marinette, I was just kidding!"

"Those two are the perfect couple..." Alya laughed shaking her head.

When the Stoneheart Akuma appeared the one who would become Volpina decided to make use of the Miraculous passed down from her grandmother and ended up meeting Ladybug the new heroine her age who had came across a Miraculous herself. They ended up defeating Stoneheart and were now partners and Paris' new superhero team.

They got on eachother's nerves with Ladybug being too serious and on the task for Volpina's taste. Volpina liked to show off and bask in the glory of being a celebrity superhero since being famous was what she was dreamed of being. Ladybug saw being superheroes as a job they should take with the upmost seriousness and wasn't happy after Volpina had used her illusion powers to stop a fake meteor in order to impress the people of France. Okay it sent people into an unneeded panic and she never tried anything like that again but Ladybug never let her forget it.

Volpina took pleasure in fighting several Akumas including whenever Chloe got herself akumatized and was halfway through throwing Bob Roth to the Silencer Akuma after he had stolen Marinette's designs for Kitty Section. She also wasn't too thrilled with Eviillustrator who was in love with Marinette himself but took great delight in being Marinette's bodyguard for that duration.

Volpina was on patrol and didn't even bother pretending to listen anymore as Ladybug told her off, "I really should have known you would have showed off on that interview for Face to Face and you treating this like a game." Ladybug told her and Volpina glared at her direction.

"You are blowing this out of proportion; it's not like I don't know when to get serious." Volpina said as she would be counted on to go to the task when it was clear that civilian would be in imminent danger soon. Plus it wasn't like she was anything like Chloe Bourgeois when she found the Bee Miraculous and became Queen Bee, intentionally almost crashing a train so that she could try and play hero for the camera. That horrified and disgusted her as she wouldn't go that far; her meteor illusion had no chance of seriously hurting anyone even though she could now see that the problem that the panic could have caused.

She was so glad that Chloe was another country's problem now...

"I can see that you don't like my company and would prefer someone else's." Ladybug told her.

"Like Multimouse who you should really give a second chance to." Volpina retorted knowing that excited and thrilled she was to find that the new temporary Miraculous holder chosen to fight Kwami Buster turned out to have been Marinette only to be open mouthed to hear Ladybug tell off Marinette for taking off the Miraculous in public and saying that she can't have use a Miraculous again.

Ladybug lost points from her like that.

"She was a foolish girl who got careless in revealing herself, she can't be trusted..." Ladybug replied and Volpina looked like she was just stopping herself from slapping her.

"I need to go since I have reached my limit of how much time I can stand being around you." Volpina said leaving to go back to her home.

Lila thinks Bustier is too much of a pushover and decides to frame Marinette with Mendeleiev instead. She made a huge mistake.
