Marinette unmasked and humiliated by Chloe in a public way at the Diamond Ball.

All these things have something in common: she is being punished for attempting to be a female voyeur. When I say "voyeur" I don't mean that in a predatory way, but in a having an active gaze way. You don't just look at the object/person of your desire, you do something about it.

Being a voyeur means being being able to look without being noticed or exposed, which is what happens to Marinette in all three examples.

In traditional/heteronormative gender roles, only men can have the active gaze.
