I watched the Dark Castle trailer and read the synopsis. Before that I’d come to the conclusion that it wouldn’t have anything to do with Mr. D’Argencourt or Darkblade the akuma. Despite the name being similar. Instead about Alix and her brother Jalil. However after watching it, I have way more questions.
In Darkblade, to build an army, he goes around turning people into his guards. Now they don’t look like the Dark Castle guards because the helmet design isn’t the same, the paldrons aren’t the same, there doesn’t seem to be any plume’s on the helmets. And they used a green colour instead of a red colour.
But the Darkcastle guards look nearly exactly the same to Darkblade himself.
These are the Darkcastle guards. They have a black and red colour scheme. An emblem on their chest armour that’s black with a red symbol. Four red parts on their helmets and some sort of plume on the back of the helmet. Do you know who they look like?
FUCKING DARKBLADE!!!
He has the red and black colour scheme (although is more of a mid tone grey) the symbol on his chest, that’s just reversed in colour, being mainly red with the animal part being black. The plume thing on the top of the helmet. He even has the fucking lines around his neck like they do! The only differences are the paldrons, because they don’t have spikes like the Dark Castle guards do. Yet they still have the red detail pattern. And the Dark castle guards have almost fully black armour.
The synopsis implies that there’s nothing to do with D’Argencourt or Darkblade and it’s just a Alix focused episode with Marinette getting the rabbit for a bit. Judging by the end card. But the trailer has….this In it. So am I slightly right and there’s at least some ties to Darkblade? And if so how? It seems the Louvre gets taken over. Is there suddenly a Darkblade exhibition the akumatised person takes inspiration from? And if so, why bring Darkblade back after 5 seasons. And if there’s no Darkblade mentioned why make the guards look so similar? If they’re reusing the model, why add the spikes on the paldrons and make the armour darker and swap the colours on the emblem.
I just really want to know now.
DEAD DEAD, DEAD, DEAD DEAD DEAD, DEATH TO THE DARKNESS WITHIN YOUUUUUUU!!
Durge x Wyll has some untapped potenial, I think they would both be in the "I can fix him" camp but just in different directions. Also It would be funny if Durge started projecting his thoughts about Bhaal onto Wyll and Ulder (This does not end well).

“Alright, class. Before you head out, don’t forget that class election for representative. We have Chloe running for the position with Sabrina as her deputy. Any other candidates?” Miss Bustier asked.
Alix looked around the room. No one raised their hand for a few moments before Kim did. She raised a brow as Chloe and Sabrina shot him nasty looks before he lowered his hand.
“Alright. Well, I’ll give you all to the end of lunch to decide if you’d like to run for candidate,” Miss Bustier announced.
The lunch bell rang, and the class dispersed. Alix headed to the courtyard when she was pulled aside by Rose. She yelped as Rose dragged her along into a group with Juleka, Adrien, Nino, and Nathaniel.
“What is going on?” Alix demanded.
“We need your help. We need to stop Chloe from running again, dude,” Nino said.
“I don’t understand what the big deal is. She’s not that bad, right?” Adrien asked.
“She’s a little monster,” Juleka whispered.
“Why does this include me?” Alix asked.
“Because Chloe fears you, dude. Can’t you, like, intimidate her or something?” Nino pushed.
“Who the fuck do you think I am? You think I just want to deal with her at any point? Besides, someone would need to fill her shoes, and it sure as hell ain’t gonna be me,” Alix retorted.
The group muttered and mumbled to one another as Chloe and Sabrina joined them. Chloe shot Alix a cautious side eye before approaching.
“Hello, everyone. I just wanted to stop by and remind everyone of my candidacy for class rep. I’m also here to remind you all why you shouldn’t run against me,” Chloe said.
“Yeah? And what do you have on any of us?” Alix challenged.
“Oh, let’s see now. Rose, I’ll kick you from scrapbooking club. Nino, I’ll share all the videos of you skateboarding on school grounds with the principal. Adrien, we’re friends, so I don’t need to worry about you. That and you’re far too busy being a model. Oh, Juleka, you already know what I’ll do to that ghost of a brother. Nathaniel, I don’t need to worry about you.”
“What about Alix?” Nino retorted.
Chloe glanced at Alix, looked away, and then left.
“Woah, dude! See? You could really put Chloe in her place and even run for class rep,” Nino stated.
Alix sneered and faced the group. “No. I’m not going to sit here and fight your battles for you. I’ve no interest in this nonsense. You want to dethrone Chloe, do it yourselves.”
Alix left the group and headed for the school exit.
“Alix, wait!” Marinette yelled.
Alix groaned and turned as Marinette joined her.
“Alix, do you think you could run against Chloe for class rep?” Marinette asked.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake. I got done telling the others I won’t. I could care less about being a candidate. If you want someone to take Chloe down, why don’t you do it yourself?”
“Look, we’re not you Alix. We’re not as strong or brave enough to face Chloe. You’re the only one aside from Adrien, but he can’t. That just leaves you. Please, we need someone to take her down.”
“Remember when I said you were soft?”
“Yes? What does-?”
“Grow a fucking backbone you soft ass bitch. You want Chloe not to fuck with you, then do something about it. I have no interest in being your class rep. I have no interest in any of you. So, if you want Chloe gone, do it yourselves.”
“But-!” Marinette started.
“No. I’m done. Either do something about it, or deal with it. Either you do something, or actually do something for once instead of being a stuttering, clumsy, pathetic fool!”
Marinette’s eyes widened, but she remained silent. Alix let out a breath as she felt countless eyes burn into her. She scoffed, turned, and left. She headed for home when she heard Tikki squeak from her hat.
“Alix, I commend you for your decisions regarding Chloe, but you were a little too harsh with Marinette,” Tikki reprimanded.
“I don’t care. I don’t want to deal with Chloe more than I have to. Besides, this doesn’t involve me until it does.”
“That’s not an excuse.”
Alix growled. “Look, they need to learn to fight their own battles. I’m already fighting too many to be bothered with them. Now, can you lay off?”
“Fine, but this isn’t over.”
~~
“So, are there any new candidates?” Miss Bustier asked.
Adrien glanced around the room. No one raised their hand or moved to challenge Chloe. He considered running against Chloe for the class, but he agreed with Alix. He didn’t care if Chloe was rep like the others did. It wasn’t his battle to fight, but theirs. If they wanted her gone, they needed to do something about it.
“Well, given that Chloe and Sabrina are the only ones running, there’s no need to vote. So, Chloe and Sabrina-,” Miss Bustier started.
“I’ll run!” Marinette announced.
Adrien tensed up and sighed. Maybe he should have raised his hand after all.
“Wonderful! You’ll need to develop your campaign and have a speech ready by tomorrow.”
The last bell rang for the day. Adrien headed out as he saw Marinette and Alya surrounded by Rose, Juleka, Nino, and Ivan. Rose eyed Alix and dragged her into the group. He sighed as he headed out to fencing.
Adrien arrived and changed into his gear. He sparred with a few students before he sparred with Mr. D’Argencourt. They danced around the mat before Mr. D’Argencourt held out his arms. He rushed forward to claim victory when Mr. D’Argencourt parried and sent him to the floor, disarming him.
“Wow, Mr. D’Argencourt, that was some move! I’ve never seen you this on fire before. That was some attack,” Adrien praised.
“It ought to be. That particular maneuver hither was developed by mine ancestor, Darkblade.”
“Darkblade?”
“In the days of yore, Darkblade conquered Paris and ruled over it with an iron fist. Until he was overthrown thence by a wealthy Frenchman who used his dirty gold to buy the loyalties of the common people. To think that not so long ago, my ancestor’s flag was waving above Paris.”
“Is that why you ran in the election, Mr. D’Argencourt? To seek revenge on you ancestor’s behalf?” Nadja Chamack asked.
Adrien and Mr. D’Argencourt turned to see Nadja with a cameraman.
“Par le fer! Who dost we have hither?” Mr. D’Argencourt demanded.
“Nadja Chamack. Don’t be bemused, it’s just the news. Do you have anything to say about your quote-unquote, ‘landslide defeat’?”
Mr. D’Argencourt didn’t answer. Nadja opened her mouth, but gasped when Mr. Haprele showed up and shooed her and the cameraman out of the school.
“Here endeth the lesson,” Mr. D’Argencourt said.
Adrien hummed and headed to the locker room. He checked his phone to see Chloe had invited him to the launch of her campaign at City Hall. He considered going as he changed out of his gear and headed out of the school. He paused near the entrance as he saw Mr. D’Argencourt pestered by the news crew. He watched as Mr. D’Argencourt was transformed into a knight in black armor. He ran back into the school and hid.
“Plagg, let’s go. It’s time to transform. Plagg, claws out!”
~~
Alix sat on the ground at Alya’s feet in City Hall. She fumed at being dragged around by them to Chloe’s campaign launch. She tried to flee, but Alya pinned her down and strapped a kid’s harness to her. She tried to resist by not moving, but Alya just dragged her along on a leash. She made other attempts to free herself but couldn’t get the harness off and Alya didn’t give her any slack.
“I’m pleased to welcome you all to the official launch of Chloe’s electoral campaign. And a special thanks to world-famous rock star, Jagged Stone, for endorsing her,” Andre Bourgeois announced.
Alix glanced over at the table that Jagged Stone sat at. Chloe stood next to him as the pair high-fived. Their class gasped in awe at the gesture. Alix growled and rolled her eyes. She grunted as Alya dragged her along again now the line moved as everyone grabbed an autographed album from Jagged Stone.
“And when you vote for me, you’ll get free tickets to Jagged’s next concert,” Chloe announced.
Alix growled as she was pulled around. She glared up at Alya as Alya got her autographed album along with another one. They joined the girls as they stood off to the side.
“You have your bribe. Can I go now?” Alix asked.
“Aww, but we’re going to hang out. Didn’t you want to join us?” Rose asked.
“Oh, well, I would love to go if I had a choice in the matter. But no! I’m on a damn leash!” Alix screamed.
“Well, we should be able to let her go, yeah?” Mylene asked.
“Please. It’s where she belongs like the rabid dog she is,” Alya remarked.
“The fuck did you say? Why don’t you stoop to my level and say that to my face?” Alix challenged.
Alya knelt so she was eye level with Alix. “It’s where you belong like the rabid dog you are.”
Alix spit in Alya’s face as she struggled against the harness. Alya wiped the spit off and dragged Alix behind them as they headed to leave. Sabrina trotted up and released Alix from the harness. Alix stumbled back and scrambled away from Alya and the others. Alya started towards Alix when Rose and Mylene all screamed. They all turned to see an army of knights headed right for City Hall. They all backpaddled as Chat Noir dove in and slammed the door behind him. His eyes fell on Alix before he looked at everyone else. He moved and blocked Alix from view.
“Everyone! Bar the doors! We cannot allow them in,” Chat Noir yelled.
Everyone scrambled to barricade the door. Alix ran off with Chat Noir behind her. She hid in a nearby room and transformed.
“What’s the situation?” Bloody Bug asked.
“It’s Mr. D’Argencourt. I watched him transform after school. He was being accosted by some news crew,” Chat Noir explained.
“Where’s the akuma?”
“His sword I’d wager. It was the only thing on him of note.”
Bloody Bug hummed.
“What’s the plan?”
“You’ll see. Lucky Charm!”
Ladybugs swirled and created a pair of spherical devices. Bloody Bug tossed one to Chat Noir.
“Put this at the other end of the lobby,” Bloody Bug instructed.
Chat Noir nodded and ran off. Bloody Bug installed the device onto the wall before she ran off to the lobby. Everyone worked to barricade the door while Chat Noir rejoined her. Bloody Bug opened her yo-yo to see a red button. She pressed it as the air charged with electricity. Brilliant blue light shone from outside accompanied with painful screams.
Bloody Bug smiled as she strolled up and kicked down the door. Everyone else ran while Chat Noir joined her. He gawked at the army crumbled to the ground with their weapons scattered all around in the air.
“What were those things?” Chat Noir asked.
“Does it matter? It got the job done, right?” Bloody Bug countered.
“Fair enough. I’ll destroy the sword and you get your things?”
“Sounds good.”
Chat Noir crawled over the barricade while Bloody Bug retrieved the devices. He used Cataclysm on the sword, releasing the Akuma. Bloody Bug returned, caught it, and purified it. She released it and threw her Lucky Charm up as it burst into ladybugs. Everything was repaired and Mr. D’Argencourt returned to normal.
“What happened? Where am I?” Mr. D’Argencourt asked.
“You were akumatized. Why?” Bloody Bug asked.
“Why? To overthrow that usurper Bourgeois and take what is mine,” Mr. D’Argencourt answered.
“For what? The election? You lost fair and square,” Chat Noir remarked.
“Hardly! That usurper undermined me at every turn. Made me the fool. How is that fair?” Mr. D’Argencourt demanded.
“Isn’t politics like a battlefield? And isn’t everything fair in love and war?” Chat Noir asked.
“It’s not the same,” Mr. D’Argencourt argued.
“How?” Chat Noir and Bloody Bug asked.
“There is honor in the battlefield. There was no honor here,” Mr. D’Argencourt remarked.
“Maybe in your fancy sports or whatever, but on a real battlefield, there’s no honor. You do whatever it takes to survive,” Bloody Bug countered.
“And becoming a villainous knight isn’t exactly the way to sow trust in the people. You’d just be making yourself into a tyrant,” Chat Noir pointed out.
“And tyrants breed rebellion, and we’ll lead that rebellion every time. Is this something you want?” Bloody Bug pressed.
Mr. D’Argencourt sighed. “I suppose not.”
“Good man. Please, try to remember that. And let’s not meet again like this.”
Mr. D’Argencourt nodded and left. Bloody Bug ad Chat Noir watch him leave when Chloe joined them.
“Bloody Bug, is what you two said is true? That being a villain isn’t the way to win people over?” Chloe asked.
“Not usually. If you play your cards right, you can get away with it. However, if you’re careless with your approach, you may not be so lucky,” Bloody Bug said.
“Why do you ask?” Chat Noir asked.
Chloe shot a look at Chat Noir, then sighed. “I may have been copying Daddy’s methods to win my class representative position.”
“Oh yeah? How does it make you feel doing this?” Bloody Bug asked.
“I’m not sure. I thought I was doing right doing whatever it takes to win, but is it right when everyone wants you gone?” Chloe asked.
“That’s… that’s a hard question to answer. Sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to win, to survive, even if it means becoming a monster. I suppose the better question to ask is… can you live with it? Yeah, that’s a better one. Can you live with the choices you made? Can you live being the monster?” Bloody Bug asked.
“Well, I don’t know. What about you? Same question,” Chloe countered.
Bloody Bug considered. “I have to live with them regardless if I want to or not. The choices have already been made. There’s no undoing what I’ve done as a monster. Why else do you think I told you that when you learn to regret, think of me. I know it all too well.”
“Mini?” Chat Noir asked.
“I’m fine, but I’ve got to leave. I’ll catch you later.”
~~
“Attention, everyone! I have news regarding the class rep election. Chloe has decided to advocate and withdraw, so by default, Marinette wins!” Miss Bustier announced.
The class all gasped before they celebrated Marinette except for Alix, Chloe, Sabrina, and himself. The other girls pulled Alix into the celebration, but she didn’t participate like them.
“Alright, settle down, class. We have a few other things to go over before All Saint’s holiday,” Miss Bustier said.
Adrien perked up at the reminder of the upcoming holiday. He remembered the particles group project with Alya and Luka. His mind whirled with ideas to try again with Luka. He considered asking Alix for help, but reconsidered. Even if they knew who each other were, he didn’t think she’d jump up to help him with this. However, there was still Alya.
The bell rang for their next class. Adrien gathered his things and headed towards his next class. He spotted Alya with Marinette. He hurried over, calling out to Alya.
“Hey, Adrien, what’s up?” Alya asked.
“Could I speak with you for a moment, alone? It’s about our group project.”
“Oh? Certainly. I’ll catch you later, girl,” Alya said.
Marinette nodded and hurried to her next class.
“So, what’s up?”
“Well, I had an idea for the project and wondered if you could help with Luka.”
“I was hoping you’d ask. I had some thoughts to push him a little. If you’re up for it.”
“So long as we don’t hurt him.”
“Don’t worry. He won’t be hurt at all. You have my word. Now, here’s the plan.”
