I think Noe's a senti. Like the episodes are named after akumatized villains, miraculous powers (in season 5) and Senti's. The only other time something like this has happened where the episode was seamingly named after a character and not the akumatized villain featured was in the season 3 episode Felix, and well... You know.

Sass said something very interesting.

Everyone knows that its extremely dangerous to use to many miraculous. When Gabriel overexerts himself with the miraculous in “Evolution”, Sass explains to him that the kwamis need to eat something in order to allow him to continue using their power, if they become to weak then this will continue to effect Gabriel and his power. We know that a kwami can draw energy from an adult holder rather than eat food to sustain themselves, but even the adults need to let the kwamis eat if they have used or are planning to use their power multiple times, like how we saw adult Alix feed Fluff. . 

However, Gabriel now has all kwamis from the box to sustain, he needs to give them food to eat otherwise they draw away to much energy from his body, but in the midst of his battle against Ladybug and Cat Noir and finding yet another opportunity in the past to defeat the two heroes at a weak point in their lives, Gabriel denies them food and tells them he is their master, they have no choice but to continue along with his plans. When Sass sees that Gabriel still wants to continue despite their warning, Sass knows that they cant refuse him since he is fully capable of controlling them and forcing his commands onto them, so instead, Sass quickly tells Gabriel that if he destroys them, then he will in turn destroy himself, meaning that if Gabriel forces them to starve then it will have dyer consequences for all of them. 

Sass’s response brings up a very interesting point, we don’t actually know what will happen to a holder if they try to forcefully use a kwamis power when they have gone beyond their limit of hunger.

We’ve seen that an inexperienced holder, like Chloe, will suffer no side effects if they have no knowledge of the kwamis names and commands. If a holder doesn’t know how to control them to force them to reveal their names and commands, then they cant use their power, sparing them from the backlash of using many miraculous.

Marinette was much more experienced and knew the names and commands of all the kwamis so she was able to wield all the miraculous and use their powers. We see that the miraculous were draining Marinette and according to Master Fu, fusing with that much power was dangerous and could even make her loose her mind. Since Ladybug is not a grown up yet, she was quick to only use a few of the miraculous powers ONCE, within the kwamis limits, so the side effects didn’t cause to much damage to her body and mental health during “Kwamibuster”.

Gabriel knew the kwamis names by either using his control over them to tell things to him, or by reading the translated book he found in Fu’s tablet. An experienced adult holder like Gabriel is also able to withstand the side effects the first time he uses multiple miraculous, just like Ladybug, but when he quickly tries to do it a second time, that’s when he begins to feel his body unable to bare the strain of all the miraculous, it gets worse the third time he does it as the backlash even caused him to lose consciousness temporarily.

We know that if a kwami does not eat on time, it will cause an immediate de-transformation for the holders once their timers are up, more so for  younger holders. However,  even if a kwami reaches its limit, an evil adult holder may be willing to forcefully continue using the power of the miraculous, and even though Gabriel gave into Sass’s reasoning to feed the kwamis, we technically do not know what would happen to a holders body, as well as the miraculous jewels, if the holder continues to repeatedly wear and use multiple miraculous in the same way Gabriel is doing now. Since Gabriel is still planning to use multiple miraculous, we have no idea what kind of backlash his body will face in the future and we especially have no idea what will happen to him if he ever tries to use the powers of a starved kwami, in other words, things are not looking good for Gabriel.

There's really no logical reason why Marinette and Adrien shouldn't know each other's identities (except for 'they get stupid and reckless, but I wouldn't call that logical, I'd call that emotional?) because if either of them is captured it won't matter if Mothman or anyone else can make them talk or not. Why not?

Because he now controls their Kwami. AND TIKKI AND PLAGG BOTH KNOW.

Does anyone else feel like the charm that ladybug makes for akumatized victims now should include the power of destruction as well?

I feel like the making of the physical charm itself as well as positive energy (something to soothe the victim in times of stress I guess? We don’t know that much about the charm so…) would be ladybug’s job and the negative energy that wards off the akumas (acting almost like a bodyguard for if the victim ever does feel upset) should be chat noir’s job? It’s hard to criticize because they way they introduced it in the show was like “ladybug made the charm, it keeps akumas away, that’s all you need to know” but in my mind I feel like warding off akumas is a mix of creating and destroying. Creating a positive energy and destroying the negative energy, leaving the victim in a neutral state where they can just live their life. dOES THIS MAKES SENSE ITS 1AM I—

I also can’t stop thinking about the idea of like a joint transformation scene where Ladybug and Chat Noir work together to help victims you know?

Honestly not sure how I feel about the “Zoé is Adrien’s and Marinette’s future daughter” theory.

Pro:

They (in particular Zoé and Marinette) do kind of look alike. Zoé looks younger with a bit more rounded face, but when it comes eye color, eye form, eye position and distance, all those look somewhat similar (in the pictures where we see them next to each other), and most importantly, look notably different from Chloé.

We all like the “future kids come home to embarrass their teenage parents” fanfics.

Cons:

I mean, this is anime style. Everybody looks a bit alike.

Zoé isn’t that similar, and, for example, has very little similarity with Sabine.

Literally everything else about Zoé screams “Chloé”, and Zoé doesn’t give off the vibe of wanting to rebel against her mother Marinette by dressing up like her arch-enemy.

It would be a terrible story.

No, really, think about it. In the standard fanfic this plot works because you can end the fanfic with a reveal and a wedding. But if you can’t have that, then you can’t reveal that Zoé is Marinette’s and Adrien’s daughter. At best you could reveal that she’s Marinette’s daughter, and even that is on thin ice.

And what’s the point? “Hey Marinette, good news your daughter will be a better Queen Bee than Chloé”. Thanks, I guess, but why would she ask herself that question?

The above is mainly a point in comparison. Like, yeah, the writers could find a way to make Zoé relevant to Marinette. But with her look, name, Miraculous and her fighting against Chloé, she is already incredibly relevant to Chloé, even now, when we got like five seconds of screen time with her. It seems likely that the writers did that on purpose.

In conclusion, Zoé is most likely Chloé’s child with Marinette.

This is a continuation about a previous post I wrote. First part is more about the episode in general and HM’s wish and ghost, while this one will focus more on Adrien/CN and the possible conflict rising between family vs duty. 

Both parts contain spoilers about S2 ep8 (Hibou Noir/ Dark Owl) along with speculations and interpretation from my part. I have tagged the post, but if I have missed a spoiler tag from the fandom, I apologise and encourage you to scroll past this block of text.

Alright. so everyone else is good with reading what follows? Cool, buckle up.

Before Dark Owl, I had my doubts that Adrien could potentially team up with his father if he knew Gabriel is trying to bring Mama Agreste back. Now, unless Gabriel hides away the method (AKA going back in time), I would say that CN teaming up with HM is fairly nonexistent.

There was a time Adrien did value his family first. But Adrien is growing up and although family is still an important notion to him (he was very distressed upon hearing LB suspected Gabriel Agreste to be HM), he deeply values his friendships as well. Nino, Chloé, Marinette, Ladybug, Alya, Plagg, Kagami. They all are (or will be) very important people to him and he trusts them all.

In The Collector, CN did question LB if she had proofs to support her theory that Gabriel Agreste is HM. But he did not rebuke her. Instead, he was motivated they go investigating. He was stunned seeing his father akumatized, but few moments later relieved akumatized!Gabriel meant he couldn’t be HM (or so Gabriel made them believe). There was however a scene in that episode I interpreted as foreshadowing. When instead of doing the “Pound it” victory pose with LB, he instead scurried to Gabriel’s side to see if he was ok. In a way, his reaction was normal because he felt responsible for his father’s akumatization because he broke into his father’s safehold, snatched the grimoire and lost it. And that led me to worry to whom Adrien’s loyalty would go between family and duty (either way, the boy will be torn apart).

In Lady Wifi, it was implied that Marinette follows logic and rational thinking. Adrien, on the other hand, follows his heart. And we saw this happening in Simonsays. Gabriel was under the akumatized power and was heading to the roof. His life was in danger. CN’s instinct was first to pursue Gabriel to ensure his safety, but LB had to hold CN back and reasoned him to give priority into capturing the akuma. CN struggled but trusted his Lady.

Plus, since the beginning of S2, Marinette is learning about the miraculous lore. This is not the case with Adrien. The most important reason being the kwamis are not supposed to lead their charge to Master Fu unless extreme necessity. Tikki lead Marinette to Master Fu the first time because she was sick and he was the only one who could heal her. She was not supposed to bring Marinette to Master Fu’s place again but for the greater good, the grimoire needed to return under the care of the Guardian (and Tikki considered Marinette’s ready to officially meet him). Plagg is merely following orders. He will abide if the greater good coughtikkicough needs it. But right now, this drift of knowledge will probably lead to miscommunication. Eventually, they are supposed to gain new powers. And Chat Noir will ask questions to LB and Plagg. The duo started at the very same time yet she has more knowledge. I don’t think he will be jealous, but rather wounded that she doesn’t display him the same level of trust that he does to her. Same goes to Plagg. His kwami may not be the best advisor at times, but Plagg cares for Adrien the same Adrien cares for Plagg.

And then, we got an episode like Dark Owl.

During the Trust Me scene, we saw how deep LB and CN trust to one another is. LB didn’t need to check if CN has his eyes closed before detransforming, even though she is fully aware he wishes to know her. She wasn’t even scared. Her partner might be a goofball at times, but he takes his role seriously. And their superhero duty means their secret identity must remain a secret even to both of them.  And CN respects his Lady. He is curious yet knows her boundaries and don’t push it, especially not in dire situations. So, when she closed her eyes, he closed his. And he didn’t even hesitate to remove and hand his miraculous to her for whatever plan she had in mind. His miraculous, the power of destruction, represents his freedom. Usually, he uses it to break him free. And it means a lot to Adrien.

“What good is a superhero imprisoned in his own house?!”

“No good. That’s why it is all going to change soon. If you are willing to change, that is.”

And he embraced that change immediately. He was so eager too, he didn’t let Plagg finished.

Now, if for whatever reasons, Gabriel changes of mind and decides to persuade his superhero son in his quest for them to be reunited with Mama Agreste again AND doesn’t question Adrien’s loyalty to him, I am in disbelief Adrien would follow. Especially if he ever learns the timeline would be rewritten.

Adrien was able to become a superhero, meet the love of his life, have friends all because his mother wasn’t around anymore. He was looking for a new balance and to him, it was going to school. He would never give that up. All those memories. Sacrificing them and rewrite new ones with his mother around means he would never meet Plagg, Nino, Marinette/Ladybug among all people.

Instead, he would both attempt to save Gabriel and stop this madness. And it won’t be easy. Adrien does not want to lose another loved one. He has already lost his mother. Even if he has accepted her absence and moved on, he still misses her. There could be even a period in which Adrien/CN shuts in and tries to solve everything by himself because he would fear to completely lose his father as well. But thanks to the Dark Owl episode, if he can blindly trust Ladybug, his partner, with his Miraculous, the symbol of his new life, surely he can trust her with his struggle if this ever happens, right?

One thing is sure, he won’t show such level of trust toward his father who has disappointed and frustrated him several times now. And he won’t team up with someone who doesn’t listen to his advises or answer his questions. Adrien is not the obedient boy he was before.
