That Ateez x Stray Kds x The Boyz collab was one of the best things that’s happened this year

it’s been nearly a month since the iconic mama stage that was the boyz x ateez x stray kids stage (that was used to promote kindgdom, i swear mnet why are you like this) and it’s finally hitting me that they, and more groups i probably stan, are gonna compete and i’m absolutely terrified.

i’m a hardcore atiny than a stay or deobi, so i might not have all the correct info, so please let me know and i’ll edit and add to this:

but yes, like there’s just so many things to consider:

all confirmed groups deserve recognition (especially domestic recognition)

and so i want them all to perform on kingdom obviously, it will be great for them

the boyz have proved time and time again what they’re capable of

ateez has a whole group of all-rounders

and stray kids’ charisma and creativity is unrivaled

we’re expecting some of the best stages from these groups, i mean look at mama, and we will without a doubt receive the absolute best from them in kingdom

plus the interactions and covers!!!!

but also i don’t trust mnet at all

and kingdom is a competition :/

queendom and road to kingdom each had its own problems, and kingdom will definitely have them as well

plus mnet’s evil editing, and their existing controversies with survival shows doesn’t help at all

fanwars: we can never really escape them

voting systems: realistically, if it were just domestic or international as well, there might be some very drastic differences in numbers

the effort: i don’t doubt any of these groups one bit, they will be giving it their all but this can be taxing

mamamoo was overworked, and had members coming and going from what i remember in queendom. there were also many injuries in both the shows.

paraphrasing here but when i was reading through the tags, someone also mentioned a great point about how queendom had a clearer purpose: girglgroups don’t get comeback shows whereas boygrouops already do so what would be the point of kingdom (if i find it again i’ll reblog it)

it is so late and i don’t even know what i’ve said makes sense but basically it all comes down to the fact that i want these groups away from mnet. again in the tags someone mentioned, shows like this does more damage to the groups than mnet itself (if i find this i shall reblog ot as well)

in theory, kingdom would be great for: publicity and the ability to showcase their talent for the groups, interactions and great stages for the fans. but does this outweigh the damage that mnet could potentially put them in, be it mental, physical or recognition wise.

i don’t know, i really don’t know. it’s late, i’m worried and im rambling. but regardless whatever happens, i will be watching all the stages and supporting all the groups, those confirmed and those to come, because they deserve it.

if anyone has anything add, pls talk with me so i don’t spiral from overthinking.
