AN: my hero academia headcanons on the way! of course i had to start off with my personal favourite character ~mod lune

shinsou hitoshi: general relationship headcanons

warnings: mentions of bullying, learning to trust 

the thing about shinsou and being in a relationship is all the talk. there are people who think you’re cute together, and then there are people who think he brainwashed you. which of course, he never did.

it took a while for shinsou to open up, even if it was things minor like his interests. it also took him a while to even consider being in a relationship with you. it was hard to trust people when all he had ever known was people bullying him.

after he came to terms that you weren’t leaving. it honestly surprised him, behind closed doors he seemed so . . . himself with you. when this first started, he would often apologize if he rambling on about the things he likes. he never had someone around who wanted to hear these things. 

there are some nights when his insecurities get the best of him. he has a villain quirk. or at least, that’s what he was always told. 

after growing up and thinking you’re a bad person, understand it will take him a while before he can even began to feel otherwise. reminding him he’s good and that you care about him daily is a must.

he might confess he feels like you have a duty to be there with him. that you only felt pity and that’s why you can’t left. he knows it’s not true, but he can’t help it.

in the end, once shinsous trust is gained, he’s very loving. he says there’s no way to repay you for all you’ve done for him, so he will always be trying his best for you.

I wish that “men + nbs” and “women + nbs” orientations were more normalized and more accepted within queer paradigms.

I see a greatly increasing number of people with those attraction patterns — whether they’re attracted to any kinds of NBs, most kinds of NBs to the exclusion of some kinds, or only kinds of NBs who meet certain specific conditions — but I also see a lot of people trying to fit those attraction patterns under orientations that were formed for a binary. The only folks I really see trying to challenge or re-evaluate that are... well, NBs.

Like, unshockingly, the only people not content to slide NBs into established binary orientations are... NBs.
