So... I watched Monster: The Ed Gein Story, having no idea who he was. Never heard of him. Never knew he was what inspired movies like Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Silence of The Lambs...
And I have no goddamn idea what the ending of this show is supposed to mean. Are they... trying to make me sympathize with him??? After everything I've seen him do? No??? Are you delulu? In what world would I feel bad for this man???
During the first episode, I went back and forth on whether I wanted to commit to the show. It spends its first 10 minutes really challenging your... well, frankly, gag reflex. I am in no way squeamish, but this definitely put me on the edge.
It is a... fascinating show. In the most morbid way possible. It did make me laugh every now and then though. If you have a dark sense of humor, maybe it can make you laugh too.
I am warning you though... it's 18+ for a reason.
