These guys are something I cooked up a few months back. I loved the idea of a League of “Monstrous” Gentlemen—like a poised version of the Universal Monsters. I haven’t prepped them for download yet due to work (currently working on three separate film productions), but will hopefully do so soon! Phantom and Invisible Man aren’t featured unfortunately because Tumblr only lets me upload ten photos from my phone. But you already know Phantom. Now onto these ghouls and what they’re about.
Tom Foolery is a centuries old trickster by trade. While only knowing a few minor magic charms, he manages to get out of most situations just through his natural charisma and knowledge of illusionism. I based his design on Scorpius from Farscape, one of the greatest television shows ever. If you haven’t seen it, WATCH IT!
Glacius is an upcoming character from my comic GHOSTWOOD, which will be releasing its first issue in hopefully late May or mid-June! I’m going to leave spoilers out of this section.
Being a monster designer, I’ve always been obsessed with the makeups of Lon Chaney Sr, his design in London After Midnight has always been one of my favorites, second to the Phantom, who is included in this group but showcased in another post.
Nosferatu has been a favorite since I was a kid so I had to attempt his look in game. Shit was hard! Max Schreck had such a unique face that the cartoon style of the game really struggled to replicate. Overall, I prefer this to Vlad in Forgotten Hollow.
Frankenstein’s Monster, or Adam—as he’s occasionally referred to—is another monster that deserves some Sim love. I plan to eventually do a whole roster of different visual interpretations but this one stems from the classic Boris Karloff look from James Whale’s Universal classic.
Elyria Crocius is a succubus gone good. Her best friend is Tom Foolery and the two are often found going to bars and pranking drunks.
I can’t say who this is because he’s a concept art render for a film currently in pre-production but let’s just say he’s a mute, playful candle-man that is fiercely loyal. If he sees a threat to those he loves, he won’t hesitate to kill.
