What happened to fandoms nowadays?
Back in the mid-2010s, the FNaF and MLP fandoms were on an entirely different level. We had fan animations that rivaled and often surpassed the canon. The FNaF fandom's ability to create horrifying animations with the animatronics was second to none, and now is only succeeded by Element Animation (previously Black Plasma Studios) with their Minecraft animations. But the MLP fandom? Good lord, how is Lullaby For A Princess still so amazing and more than millions of times better than the actual battle between Celestia and Luna? Not to mention The Moon Rises depicting Luna's fall and having 3 SEPARATE RENDITIONS OF THE SONG, all of which are good for different reasons?
But nowadays we're losing fan animators to NSFW sites and can't get anything on that level anymore, unless the Disney fandom somehow successfully pulls off the Wish Initiative (they're trying to redo the entire Wish movie with nothing but fan animators and the demo songs so let's hope they succeed). At least we still have fan artists and fan theories and fan singers and fan games.
