I know this is weird, but I'm slowly working to remake my facebook after i had to delete because of major aggressive non-binary transphobia. Would anyone want to be fellow asexual or aromantic friends or give it a shot anyway? I gotta start over making friends since it was pretty well my whole friendslist that was joined in on it.

It's like how I always thought Steven Stone rejected gender completely and felt it didn't apply to him but that's maybe me projecting on a character I connected too way too much growing up. Autistic gender deniers. haha.

I think Steven is way more likely to be dfab than anything else, considering the canon models (especially the ORAS ones). People who keep drawing him with broad shoulders and a square jaw seem like they haven't even played the same games. Or are desperate to make him look more “manly” because as we know, fandom is full of hypocrites who claim they're not transphobic but can't stand the idea of their fave characters actually being trans. Not to mention the general idea of trans people being attractive. (Oh god you got me started now. I've written actual essays about this.) I generally just refer to him as trans, but tbh I'm not overly invested if that means trans male or “trans as in masculine presenting but not giving a shit about gender really”. I just think it doesn't work half as well to assume he's a cis dude.

Aside from that, I cannot believe there are still people who debate him being autistic. Literally everything about the character makes more sense that way, including why I started identifying with him rather than wanting to date him like everyone else some 14 years ago (was it 2002?) when I got the original Hoenn games.

Soulbonding is such an amazing thing. It probably is the only reason I am able to be the great roleplayer I am. for around five years on tumblr alone I have been roleplaying two characters from series I've never seen and only did basic wiki research because I was able to soulbond with them and I constantly would be complimented on how accurate my protrals were and how I had to have seen the show to be so good. I finally did see one of their shows and I'm amazed how accurate my bond really was.

Congrats, anon. That sounds awesome. I love rping with my bonds and letting them interact with people that way.

I relate so big to this, since I refer to myself as agender but really even that doesn't fit me. I prefer to not even have a gender title. That my gender is an empty void and there's nothing there. And it was the moment that made me accept myself more than anything else and help me feel like I was allowed to be me. It also explains why most trans things don't make sense to me?

Wow, I'm sorry to hear you were targeted with such bullshit. It's possible they noticed me for including aces and aros in the LGBTQ+ community, and then tried to make it about something else? Because every other edgy asshole on this site has been slapping me with various “ace discourse” labels recently, even though I'm 1) bisexual and 2) in a relationship in the “traditional” sense that acephobes would presumably approve of, on those grounds at least.
