The other day, I was thinking of a sort of "opposite" AU for Tangled. Where, essentially, the Moonstone bonded with Eugene when he was a baby. Eugene gets locked away to protect everyone in the kingdom and world (as comfortably as his parents can manage, and they are clear he is there because he is danger to people around him if not careful when he is old enough to understand).

Because of this, the sundrop was left unchecked, and its power started to infuse into like all the crops and food in Corona. By the time Arianna is pregnant with Rapunzel, its power is in enough foods being used by the palace that she doesn't fall ill, and Rapunzel is born a normal baby. (And since the Sundrop's power is like everywhere, Gothel doesn't bother anyone.) As time progresses, people in Corona stop getting sick and aging (outside of kids who are still growing), injuries heal faster, crops grow year round. Over the years, Corona becomes this prospering kingdom half frozen in time, and no one really knows why.

The catalyst of things happening is Eugene sneaking out, for like just one night to have like a little adventure and touching a searching root of the Sundrop flower. Sending like a wave of root and decay like all the way to Corona where people start getting sick, and crops start dying. Rapunzel goes out on a search to figure out what is happening and how to stop it. The two met kind of in the middle.

Hello guys and welcome to another cass eant and today i'm going to talk about a topic that is not very talked, the topic is that Eugene and Cass are both the moon but Gene is the full moon and Cass is the new moon.

Is it canon that Cass had taken the moonstone and she became thehost of the embodiment of it but there are another factors that makes it more canon:

- she is the opposite of Rapunzel, and Rapunzel is the sun and who's opposite as the sun ? The moon

- Other things that i liked of cass and raps ( cassunzel ) as the moon x sun trope is that Cassandra leaving the kingdom is like sun x moon complements each others but they cannot be together in the same sky, as well the rocks are a representation of Cassunzel's relationship they started getting worse when Cassandra and Rapunzel started being unhappy or upset because Cassandra being a traitor is just like left the light without darkness

- these two seem to represent the dynamics of the sun and moon in their personalities and traits, going much further than just the sundrop and moonstone in the show, because if you look into multiple stories of the sun and moon, you can see how similar it is.

- cass is always drawn or associated with the moon/night even before taking the moonstone.

To understand this we have to read and analyze the phases of the moon first:

Now that y'all had read it now let's get started. Is it canon that both Cass and Eugene are the moon for reasons:

-notice how locked in Eugene acts at nighttime but at day he's a cocky goof

- he is the prince of the dark kingdom, the opposite kingodm of Corona that represent the sun.

- Demagnitus canonically said that he is Rapunzel's moon

- Corona and Rapunzel have the sundrop, brighter colours while Dark Kingdom and Eugene have the moonstone, darker colours.

This is why i believe that both of them are the moon but Gene is the full moon and Cass is the new moon 🌙☀️. Both Cass and Eugene are Rapunzel's moons, they need their sun gf/ best friend.

Have you guys considered all three of them having the moonstone? The idea of the Sundrop being tailed by three goths? Them chucking rocks at eachother? Them fighting over whose armor is best? Them giving them the Brotherhood a heart attack? Them calling themselves the Sisterhood? That name being Eugene’s idea that the others hate? Them creating rock thrones for Rapunzel? Them creating rocks for Rapunzel to paint? Cassandra and Eugene fighting with rock swords? Varian building unbreakable beakers because Eugene keeps messing with his? Eugene piercing Varian’s ears with tiny rocks? Cass and Varian making Owl and Ruddiger statues together? Them having sleepovers in a little rock castle?????
