so im at my mother's house and she calls me into the dining room and says, "look jen." i look. i don't see anything noteworthy. "what am i looking for?" i say. "the rainbow! for taylor!" she says. i look down. i see what she's referring to. i start laughing hysterically and she says she dug it out of the attic special for taylor and for me I REALLY CANT DEAL WITH THIS WOMAN IM CRYING SHES SO CUTE

my neighbor's cats keep running away and not being able to get back in so they stand in our yard and start crying until they come pick them up it's actually pretty funny

while morgan might be older and wiser,  she won’t ever be against the idea of her mom tucking her into bed.  some fifteen year olds might not be quite as hyped to spend so much time with their mom but she is.  after losing her dad at such a young age,  she grew so much closer to her mom in the years leading up to now.  her mom had been there for her,  through everything.  through every hard night,  through all of the grieving processes. 

the grieving had happened in bursts,  at random points in time.  with no real discernible reason as to what triggered the moment.  sometimes she’d see something that reminded her of her dad  (which,  to be fair,  was quite often)  and she’d break down into hysterics,  barely able to breathe.  pepper was there for all of it,  there to take care of her and keep her on the right track.  stopping her from falling down a very dark hole.

“absolutely.”  with that,  morgan is running to her room --- dropping all of her things once she reaches her room.  she’s already dressed up in pj’s,  so she doesn’t have to worry about that.  teeth have been recently brushed,  along with a quick bathroom break.  she jumps into bed and slides herself underneath the blanket,  waiting for her mom with an excited and happy smile.  “’m ready!”
