Gah, it’s so boring being trapped here in the house.  If only I had a BIG BOX OF VALIANT COMICS to pass the time.

In this episode, our favorite Visigoth brings the fight to the Vine homeworld.

Aric goes to the Vine planet ready to kill everybody (hence the name Planet Death).  Once there he is shocked to discover human colonies descended from Visigoths along with colonies of aliens from other Vine-invaded worlds.  Turns out The Vine’s strategy is to take specimens from every world they encounter as slave labor while leaving behind undercover “seeds” to covertly take control.

Some Vine worship the X-O armor as their holiest relic and treat Aric as an emissary of God

While others see Aric and the armor as a threat and prepare for war.

Long story short, Aric kicks everybody’s ass and leaves the kindly priest in charge of the planet.  The slaves are going to be sent back home, including the Visigoths.  Next stop, Earth!

This book is still fun.  I like Cary Nord’s issues, they are looser and more expressive than previous issues.  The premise is still batshit comics.

I don’t know why they would lead the Valiant Movie Universe with boring-ass Bloodshot when X-O is sitting right there.
