That maybe he just comes in every day and cuddles her, and falls asleep beside her, and he keeps her arms and feet cuffed together at first, and reader gets Stockholm syndrome, because he's her only point of contact, and all he wants to do is cuddle her and tell her about his day.

Maybe she decides to play his game, because although she's trapped, he's not hurting her, and she acknowledges that it could be worse (a twisted thought, of course) and maybe she's the one that takes it further one day by kissing him, and he's so taken with her, that he lets her kiss him to her heart's content. Very wrong to be getting this attached to your kidnapper, but maybe you begin to see the true him, and the way he's been beaten down, and you try to help him, similar to the way you helped that feral cat weeks ago after it had scratched you.

It can go two ways, where, either you get corrupted a bit more by him, or he begins to feel guilty about taking you when you were right, you'd have given him anything he wanted... if he'd have just asked for it.

Maybe I'm looking into it too much, but I love the Hades/Persephone vibes we have from Braxiatel and Bernice through out the Bernice Summerfield series, and the Jekyll and Hyde arc we get from all the different Brax's she encounters.
