hello, would you mind making a post about 'morgellons' and the conspiracy theory around it?
there are many people saying it's caused by the government poisoning us and all that and i think you would probably do a great job at explaining and debunking it :)
Not at all! If that's going around again, that definitely needs talked about.
Since I don't have time to really go into it in depth at this moment, here's a quick summary for now: a number of people believe they are suffering from a disease (called Morgellons) that causes strange fibers to grow in their skin. However, medical examinations found that these people basically had fabric fibers stuck in wounds inflicted from skin picking/scratching. It's believed that many who think they have Morgellons are suffering from a form of delusional parasitosis. Like so many other things debunked by real scientific investigation, Morgellons became part of conspiracy mythology.
