Zombies that stand and stare ahead

The zombie virus infection spread very quickly. In just a week, hundreds of residents became zombies. They now wander slowly. And stand and stare into the distance. This virus is less active. And it makes them more passive. It's as if they're just standing and staring. As if they're tired. And they need to rest. But it's the same thing. A zombie virus. Only different.

The zombie virus is another type. More passive. They don't even try to be aggressive. All reflexes are suppressed. They stand and stare at the wall, as if. From a distance, it's not even clear what's going on. Pale skin. Sedentary behavior.

There's a void in their heads. It's as if their entire consciousness is blocked. They simply remain motionless. Sometimes they take steps forward, but their mobility is very limited. They can walk slowly. They don't even seem dangerous at first glance. This type of zombie is not very common. A rare occurrence.

Sometimes they start walking slowly. Somewhere ahead of themselves. They can't turn. Only forward movement. No breathing. Pale color. And mostly a stagnant demeanor. They don't make any sounds either. As if hypnotized.

The virus came from the field. On the wind. Perhaps with some insects and worms from underground. This species is characterized by stable behavior. This area is quarantined. But the sign was broken. Someone broke it. And you drove here. You were driving to the village. One you hadn't been to in a long time, to see what it was like now. And what you saw were the living dead.

Yes, there was something said about a zombie virus on the radio. But that was somewhere else. In the city. Some lab. In a swamp. And now you've seen it with your own eyes. Of course, you have a notebook. And you've written down everything you know. You have a gas mask with you. It's saving you. But your supply of purifier will soon run out. It's time to leave. Enough notes. The main thing now is to reverse to a larger area. Turn around there. And head back.

You didn't manage to learn much this time. But at least you took a couple of photos. And made initial notes. Confirming the general behavior. From the manual. Which was written quickly. Something caused this virus to change. And that caused this reaction.
