Silently, the black leopard slinks toward the motionless waiting Tarzan…
(Tarzan Volume 1 #1)
The new Motionless album has pipe organ and dubstep and honestly I couldn’t have asked for anything better
Night had fallen now, the rain had stopped. The pale black sky still seemed liquid. In its dark, transparent water, low on the horizon, stars were beginning to flare. They flickered out almost at once, falling one by one into the river, as if the sky were spilling its last lights, drop by drop. The thick air smelled of water and smoke. And they could hear close by the murmur of the vast, motionless forest.
Albert Camus, Exile and the Kingdom (The Growing Stone)
stand motionless
* * * *
“Dawn is gathering. The noon of night has gone. The first gleams of daylight disclose its temperature. Stone takes on color. Treetops are roots of the day yet to grow. The moon, silver necklace from which Venus dangles like a pearl, still sheds its brightness. The abyss is only perspective, location. There will be nests on some branches.”
— Homero Aridjis, from Persephone (Vintage, 1986)
Zombies that stand and stare ahead
The zombie virus infection spread very quickly. In just a week, hundreds of residents became zombies. They now wander slowly. And stand and stare into the distance. This virus is less active. And it makes them more passive. It's as if they're just standing and staring. As if they're tired. And they need to rest. But it's the same thing. A zombie virus. Only different.
