heres why i actually glaze bruce wayne though. im higher supports needs. when i say bruce is autistic coded, i dont mean "hes stoic and bad at feelings and likes puzzles" i mean it like this. his experience is .i wouldnt say empowering but so personal to me. your presences makes people uncomfortable. youve been yelled at so many times for not meeting peoples standards so you end up giving yourself higher standards that of course you cant always meet. you hold yourself to such high standards that now youre just a self righteous asshole for trying to do things you clearly cant but also if you lower your standards for yourself people will still get mad at you for not doing enough. you can either accept the blame even when something really isnt your fault or you argue back and when you do argue back of course it doesnt change anything. you will always burden the people around you. the people who raised you wish you would drop the things that make you who you are and just be the person they expected you to be. you are mocked for having feelings. if you become isolated you cant reach out because your feelings dont matter. people can call you out but when you call others out youre just being a pretentious dickhead. nothing you do is enough and you cant talk about how that makes you feel because your feelings dont really matter. youre just being a dickhead

ok so im not really sure if he refers to his ASPD this way because Khoa just personally identifies with "psychopath" or the writer didn't realize that psychopath isn't a diagnosis(depending on what year he was 8 in he probably wouldve been diagnosed with conduct disorder that later developed into ASPD). Anyways I wanted to talk about Khoa's neurodivergence. A lot of people either ignore his neurodivergence or vilify him for it and I don't see a lot of people talking about the sanism Khoa experienced as a child and how he internalized that. his school teachers showed their fear around him and his parents talked about being frightened by what he could become (said this while he was in the room). He's harmed his classmates and what I think happened was the adults around him responding by enforcing the idea that he's done this because he doesn't have the ability to care or fear and that empathy = morality(it doesn't, empathy just means you don't feel what others do. you can not know how someone feels and recognize an injustice has occurred.) so anyways Khoa has it reinforced that when he violates the rights of others it's because of his disorder and he cant have a real moral compass because of it so why would Khoa decide to stop harming others? Khoa's neurodivergence is apart of his identity and because of what he was told at such a young age he believes it is destiny for him to not be bound by what others feel. and when he harms others he might not feel bad about it, he might not feel guilt but he is NOT amoral and he is not incapable of recognizing other's pain(because that's not what low empathy means). He made the active choice to do something that (he at least believes) is fixing the world. every kind thing he does is framed through the lenses of just being manipulation so he does not claim there is good will behind his actions. he makes it clear he does this for himself and he claims he only cares about himself. he doesn't want to imply there's good will in him, it's unlikely people would even believe him

i think he does care though, in the sense that he wants to do good. regardless on if you think his methods are a moral good or productive, I do think he thinks he's doing right. I can't believe so many people can't see through the mask. He does have emotions and he does have morality. You just fell for the mask!

alfred is a little bit like the uncle iroh of the batfam fandom cause like wow hes just a wise old man and father figure to this emo guy and its so cute but then when you think about it for a few moments he literally killed people

duke: is a sweetheart, has a lot of trauma, tends to deflect with humor, is good at asserting his boundaries, has a strong sense of justice and may rebel because of it because this is the superhero genre and thats the point batfamers: hes the normal one and so innocent other batfamers: no!!! cant you see hes insane and a chaotic gremlin and such a hater!!!! he is not innocent cant you see hes INSANE and a HATER!!!!

feel like fraction doesnt really understand bruce and alfred, first with the hallucinations now with the new butler first of all, i dont want to immediately dismiss this character since we dont know the context of why shes here yet and i know people are already gonna hate her just by virtue of being a woman replacing a popular male character. i dont want to come off that way but there is an actual reason im skeptical of alfred's role being replaced instead of just bringing him back i dont think fraction understands what afred is to bruce. bruce doesnt have any other domestic workers and i cant think of an example of him showing a want for another one. when alfred is not here bruce has only showed a want for alfred back, not a replacement. this is because alfred is not just his butler, he is his dad so alfred cant be replaced at this stage in bruce's life. bruce deeply respects and trusts alfred and i feel like theres a codependency in a lot of early batman stories, no not because he cant mop the floor but because it feels like alfred is the only person bruce can really talk to at that early stage in his life. alfred also isnt really a great person to be emotionally dependent on because he often minimizes bruce's feelings. as bruce meets more people who know the real him, he becomes less dependent on alfred. alfred has enough money to retire several times over but he remained the butler until he died because he does actually deeply love bruce and wants to remain close to him but also doesnt want the responsibility of being anything more than a butler so he continues doing the house chores and keeping their relationship professional even if they both know their relationship is much deeper than that, they just dont say it out loud. and no theres nothing wrong with parents who live with their adult children, you people just have nuclear family brainrot and as someone whose lived in a multigenerational household i really like that they lived together that long. so anyways i just dont see bruce wanting a new butler since she would just be his butler and the dynamic would not be the same and her role in bruce's life would not be the same. i dont think fraction gets the reason why bruce had a butler in the first place. also i know bruce can do the fucking dishes and put away the laundry and it just feels like she is here because woman = wash dishes for man. doing chores is not why bruce kept alfred around😟. only other reason i can think as to why shes here is to serve as the narrative foil that alfred often served as and even then i feel like it hits differently when alfred openly disagrees with bruce because again that is his dad coming from a place of love(even when hes wrong) and she would just be an employee
