The Jackson house was loud. (my fav opening)

Not unusually loud. Normal Jackson family loud.

People talking over each other. Janet was yelling at Randy from across the room. Plates clinking against the dinner table while Katherine tried very hard to keep some kind of order together.

And in the middle of all of it?

Michael was on the phone.

Again.

Jermaine pointed his fork toward him immediately.

“There he go.”

Michael turned slightly away from the table dramatically, one hand over the phone receiver.

“Girllll No, because LISTEN…”

— — —

“She was NOT supposed to tell him that.”

Janet immediately dropped her head onto the table, laughing.

“Oh, my God.”

Michael lowered his voice, even though literally everybody could still hear him.

“I’m serious.” “He found out backstage and threw his award at the wall.”

“If I were him, I wouldn’t. It's the only one he won in like 15 years

The entire table was shocked.

“M I C H A E L.”

Michael looked offended immediately.

“What??”

Jackie stared at him.

“You are genuinely the messiest person I’ve ever met.”

Michael gasped.

“I am NOT messy.”

“ y’all don’t understand.” “She told me not to tell anybody  AFTER she already told me.” “So technically…”

“Michael, it does not work like that.”

Janet was crying, laughing now.(just like me when I see Jermaine's hair, no shade)

Katherine shook her head slowly.

“Baby, everybody tells you things because they expect you to keep it to your self.”

“That is not true,” Michael defended immediately.

The entire table yelled: “YES, IT IS.”

Michael rolled his eyes before going back to the phone.(I love this mental image)

“Anyway…” “Wait till I tell you what happened after that.”

Jermaine pointed at him.

“See?” “HE CAN’T STOP.”

— — — — —

By the time dinner actually started calming down, Michael was finally off the phone.

For now.

Everybody had barely started eating again when Michael suddenly froze halfway through taking a bite.

Janet rolled her eyes.

“…what now?”

Michael slowly put his fork down.

“Oh my God.”

Marlon already started laughing.

“What NOW??”

Michael looked genuinely horrified.

“I FORGOT TO TELL HER.”

Jermaine slammed his hand against the table.

“NO.” “Sit DOWN.”

“I can’t.” “I forgot the BEST part.”

And before Katherine could even stop him, Michael jumped up from the table and practically sprinted toward the kitchen phone.

“MICHAEL JOSEPH JACKSON…”

Too late.

The whole family could hear the dialing from the other room.

Then:

“Hey its me, Mike.” “Okay, listen.”

A dramatic pause.

“You are NEVER gonna believe what happened next.”

“He acting like this gossip gonna expire.” (guess who said this)

— — — — —

The worst part was 

Michael genuinely did not think he was messy.

At all.

That became very clear later that week when you were sitting in the backseat of his car while he casually adjusted his sunglasses and whispered:

“You know they secretly hate each other, right?”

You blinked slowly.

“…what?”

Michael nodded calmly.

“Mhm.” “They almost got into a fight backstage at the awards show.”

You stared at him.

The celebrities in question had literally just done an interview talking about how much they adored each other.

“How do you even KNOW that??”

Michael looked confused by the question.

“Because I was there.”

“…Michael.”

“What?”

“You know entirely too much about people.”

“No, I don’t.”

“You absolutely do.”

“No, I don’t.”

“Anyway, he was flirting with backup dancers all night.”

You turned toward him.

“You were WAITING to tell me that.”

Michael smiled, “…maybe.”

— — — — —

Award shows were somehow the worst. like reality television.

The second somebody walked past the table, he leaned closer immediately.

“That marriage will not last another year.”

“They literally just renewed their vows.”

“Mhm.” “And he still cheating.”

You stared at him, vowing to never tell him your business.

“How do you KNOW these things??”

Michael looked genuinely confused again.

“Because people tell me stuff.”

“WHY??”

“I don’t know.” “They trust me.”

You laughed so hard you almost cried.

“Michael, nobody should trust you.”

Michael looked offended.

“I’m trustworthy.”

Right as he said that, another celebrity walked by.

Michael lowered his sunglasses slightly. (them glasses worked overtime)

“Ohhhhh.” “Speaking of mess…”

— — — — —

One night, he called you at almost two in the morning, sounding stressed.

“Hello??”

“Okay, don’t panic.”

You immediately sat up in bed.

“What happened??”

Michael lowered his voice dramatically.

“…they broke up.”

Silence.

“…who?”

“Them.”

“Michael, WHO IS THEM?”

And then this idiot went on for a full 45 minutes about celebrity relationship drama like it was world-ending news. 

By the end of the call, you were laughing your ass off. 

“You are ridiculous.”

“People just tell me these things.”

“You are NOSY.”

“No I’m not.”

“You called me at two in the morning.”

“Because this is serious.”

The only thing funnier than Michael gossiping…

was the fact that he somehow still acted shy in public.

Soft-spoken 

Polite answers to invasive questions.

Meanwhile, this guy knew all the scandals in Hollywood.

And every time someone trusted him with information, he always said the same thing:

“Don’t worry.” “I won’t tell anybody.”

Then immediately called you afterward.

𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐨 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧?

 warnings: crack fic, chaotic family dynamics, suggestive humor, stage/performance reactions, media commentary, Michael being exposed by everybody around him, NOT proofread

The interview had started normally.

Everybody had walked into the studio fully confident that they were just gonna be answering regular questions.

Janet was smiling that little, shy smile. (freaky ass) Jackie looked relaxed. And Katherine, as always, was trying to keep everybody civilized, even just for five minutes.

The interviewer smiled warmly toward the audience.

“Today we’re joined by members of the Jackson family to celebrate Michael’s career and impact on music.”

The audience applauded loudly.

Jermaine nodded. “That’s my little brother, man, very proud of him

The interviewer shuffled his cards together.

“Well… there’s also something people online constantly debate.”

Jackie sighed. (me when idiots online talk bad about Michael) “Oh, Lord.”

The interviewer laughed.

“Over the years, Michael dealt with a lot of rumors regarding his sexuality.”

The entire family answered at once:

“NO hes not gay.”

The audience burst into laughter.

The interviewer raised both hands quickly.

“No, no, listen…” “I personally don’t believe the rumors.”

Jackie nodded. “Good, you shouldn't.”

“But,” the interviewer continued, “a lot of fans still bring it up online.”

Janet rolled her eyes. “Because people are stupid.”

The audience could be heard laughing.

“So,” the interviewer continued, “we decided to put together a compilation of moments from Michael’s career that fans often use as… evidence otherwise against the allegations that we personally love.”

Jermaine spoke up next. “…evidence?”

The screen behind them lit up.

“𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐓 — 𝐋𝐘𝐑𝐈𝐂 𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐒”

Janet looked disgusted immediately. “WHY are we starting there??”

The music started playing.

“She wants to give it…”

The audience screamed already.

Michael’s vocals filled the room while clips from the music video played on screen.

Naomi pressed against him, rubbing her hands between his thighs. Michael was gripping her waist in ways that definitely weren't gay. (That music vid made me discover things about myself) The whispering. The staring.

Then the background vocals played:

“If it’s aching, you have to rub it…”

“OH MY GOD, that's so nasty.”

Jackie covered his face with both hands. “Turn this OFF.”

The interviewer paused the clip, acting all innocent.

“So… Janet.”

“What do you think your brother meant by this lyric?”

“Next question please.”

Another clip.

Michael staring at Naomi while she danced against him, biting his lip.

Janet leaned back against the couch.

 “Actually, yeah, I can’t defend him anymore, he's too freaky.”

Jackie turned toward her immediately. “YOU should not be calling anybody freaky.”

Janet side eyed him immediately. “What the hell is THAT supposed to mean??”

The interviewer wiped tears from his eyes.

“Well then… let’s move on.”

“𝐏.𝐘.𝐓.”

The audience sCREAMED.

Janet pointed toward the screen. “This interview is evil.”

The music video clips started rolling.

Michael smiling at women. Touching them. Pulling them close onstage.

Then the interviewer paused on a lyric.

“I want to love you…”

A pause.

“Pretty young thing…”

Then another clip played: Michael live on stage during Dangerous, doing hip thrusts.

 Fans outside stadiums after concerts.

One girl looked directly into the camera, completely overwhelmed.

“I thought that man was asexual until I saw him LIVE ON STAGE.” (actual fan interview btw)

Another: And his deep voice, I've never heard him like that before, “I thought he sounded like a Disney princess.”

Janet shook her head.

 “This is what happens when you spend forty years whispering all the time.”

The interviewer wiped tears from his face. (me when I remember I can't have Michael)

“At this point… we also gathered stories from celebrities who met Michael personally.”

Janet looked exhausted. (my second fav Jackson)

 “I don’t trust this.”

A celebrity clip appeared onscreen.

The man was laughing before he even spoke. (The following scene is based on an actual interview with music producer Pharrell)

“Meeting Michael Jackson was NOT what I expected.”

“I thought he was gonna walk in shy and soft-spoken…”

“That is NOT the man who entered that room.”

“He came in late after rehearsals with two of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen in my life following behind him.”

Jermaine covered his face instantly. “OH NO.”

“And before anybody could say anything,” the celebrity continued, “Michael grabbed one of them and kissed her RIGHT on the mouth.”

The celebrity deepened his voice jokingly:

“Sorry, I’m late, everybody.” “Rehearsals ran over.”

“And then he sat down,” the man continued, “pulled both women against him…”

“One on his left side.”

 “One on his right.”

“They’re leaning back against his chest the entire conversation.” “And Michael?” “He’s just casually talking to us like none of this is weird.”

“And then halfway through the meeting…”

He paused.

“THEY start making out with EACH OTHER.”

“And Michael didn’t even react.” “He just kept talking.”

The interviewer was barely breathing now.

“So safe to say Michael’s public image may not have reflected reality?”

The celebrity stared directly into the camera.

“Not even close.”

Then the interviewer smiled.

“Well… there’s also somebody else who had a lot to say about Michael.”

Janet groaned.

“Oh No.” “Not her of all people.”

The screen lit up.

𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐀 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐘 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

Lisa appeared onscreen.

“So… there were rumors Michael may have been inexperienced before your marriage.”

Lisa stared at the interviewer.

Then laughed.

Janet looked exhausted already. “Here we go.”

Lisa shook her head.

“No.” “Michael was not a virgin when he met me.”

“Women threw themselves at Michael constantly.”

“And trust me,” Lisa continued, “There was absolutely NOTHING asexual about that man.”

“If you saw the way that man moved his hips on stage and still thought he didn’t like women or that he didn't know what he was doing…”

She laughed.

“That’s your own problem.”

“And another thing,” Lisa continued, “People acted like Michael wouldn’t know what he was doing because he was shy.”

“Please.”

“So… did Michael bring women around often before or after your marriage?”

Lisa laughed.

“Sometimes after shows, he’d notice somebody in the crowd he liked…”

“And next thing you know?” “She’s backstage signing paperwork.”

The interviewer looked confused. “…paperwork?”

“Nondisclosure agreements.”

“And trust me,” Lisa continued, “Michael was not bringing women back to hotel rooms just to discuss the weather.”

Then Lisa added:

“And sometimes it wasn’t even just one woman.”

The audience immediately got louder.

“Sometimes it was two.” “Sometimes three.”

Jermaine fell laughing.

Jackie stared into the distance.

Then another clip appeared onscreen.

The interviewer looked way too happy with himself.

“Well… there was also one story fans never stopped talking about.”.

The clip started playing.

Interviewer: “So… there were rumors you and Michael broke a hotel bed during your honeymoon at Disney.”

The ENTIRE audience screamed before Lisa could even answer.

“Oh, that story…”

Janet caught Jackie by the arm. “Why does everybody know that?”

Lisa shook her head, trying not to laugh.

“All I’m gonna say is… yes.”

 “So the rumors were true?”

“Very true.”

“And Michael blamed the hotel bed, “it was broken already,” she continued. “Like it wasn’t his fault.”

“That man may have acted shy in public and then turned into an entirely different person behind closed doors.”

Lisa added a last sentence. Then:

“Let’s just say the honeymoon suite didn’t survive the honeymoon.

Janet pointed at the screen, 

"Yeah, actually.

 Interview OVER.

Update .....

i'm having the craziest fucking episode of writer's block right now 

and it's not even the kind where i don't have ideas. i have TOO MANY.

i have a Jermajesty fic that's literally like 90% finished. all i have to do is write the last bit, edit it, make the fake texts on the new website i found, and post it. (more fake text to come that shit looks fun y'all)

i already wrote down all my ideas for the Janet, Marlon, and Tito headcanons. i have a notebook full of ideas for Michael, Jermajesty, Jaafar, and somehow even Randy Jr. 

i've also been getting a ton of requests for Biggie, Prince, and Paris, and i really want to write for them too.

MY BRAIN REFUSING TO LET ME WRITE???

it's like my creativity is there, but the motivation to actually turn it into words disappeared.

i do have some stuff i absolutely have to get done tomorrow, and weirdly enough, being productive in one area usually kicks my brain into " let's do everything else too" mode. so i'm hoping that helps because i genuinely don't know what is happening guys

I think a big reason I always come back to your Michael fics or your other in general is because they feel like more than just stories. You write him in a way that makes you wonder about his thoughts, his feelings, and the parts of him we never got to see. I started Tumblr and your fics were one of the first things I found and followed, and I honestly fell in love with the way you write. Even though we’ll never truly know Michael personally, your writing somehow makes him feel a little closer. I’ll always appreciate your work and defend you when people don’t understand it, because I know how much care and respect goes into the way you portray him. Seriously, thank you guys so much. This is the type of stuff that I want to see in my inbox. I'm not dealing with none of that negative shit no more. Honestly, I'm so done with all of that.

Thank you, though, because I put so much effort into my fanfiction trying to get everybody's personalities right. One thing I refuse to do is stereotype people. Even though it's fiction, there should still be limits to certain things.

Y'all ever see those TikToks where people are like "fun facts about Michael Jackson" and they just pull the facts straight out their ass? I promise you Michael never said or did half the things people claim he did. Sometimes I just sit there staring at my screen because it's so obviously fake and people just eat it up.

The worst one I've ever seen was somebody saying his last words were "I love my fans." Mind you, his own children didn't even get to spend his final moments with him, and you're online making up what his last words were. Do y'all understand how disrespectful that is?

Anyway, don't apologize for yapping because I literally built this blog on yapping. You're in the right place.

I've been on Tumblr for a couple of years now, but I only started consistently posting content on April 25. That's actually kind of crazy to think about because it feels like so long ago, but it really wasn't. Since then I've posted at least fifty fanfics, probably more. Majority of them are completely self indulgent too.

And thank all of y'all, honestly. I love y'all so much.

Also, little update while I'm already talking. I'm not posting today because I'm spending the day making banners and mood boards. I've got ten banners to finish for Module Two, plus a few other pieces of content that don't need banners. Altogether I'm working on about thirteen things today.

I do have something coming for y'all though. Earliest Thursday, latest Friday. I really want to try to post tomorrow, but if not, it'll definitely be Thursday.

Also yes, to the person who messaged me and asked, I completely forgot to reply, but yes, I will be writing for Prince, Paris and Bigi.

I've also been meaning to answer another question. Somebody asked me if I'd ever write for Jackie Jackson.

My answer is yes and no.

Let me explain.

Most of the Jackson siblings have done things at some point in their lives that they're probably not proud of. Someone also told me Jackie had altercations with his ex wife, but I was also told that he publicly apologized for everything. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That being said, I actually do find Jackie very attractive, both when he was younger and now. So yes, I probably will write for him eventually. Just not anytime soon.

You guys know I've got about ten fanfics sitting in Module Two already. Module Three is completely planned out. I already know everything that's going in there. Module Four is basically my open request module. Whenever I get new requests, that's where they go. So if I end up writing for Jackie, he'll most likely be added to Module Four.

Someone also asked me about Jermaine. He's actually already in Module Two because somebody requested him a while ago.

I think that's everything I wanted to talk about today.

And again, thank you for taking the time to send this. Stuff like this genuinely motivates me to keep writing, and I appreciate every single one of y'all.
