A Concept: Mister Heere x The SQUIP
can someone explain to me how Jeremy Heere's Father x SQUIP is not a more popular ship
BMC Fandom! We have grown! We are on tumblr! Do we not crave the Toxic Old Man Yaoi??
Consider (Pretty Please), an AU, where feeling unable to connect with his son, Mister Heere decides to go out on a limb, and try this new fangled magic pill with promises to fix your life. Maybe someone at work (someone doing unnaturally well), sees Heere struggling in life, and directs him to this self-help miracle.
Mister Heere meets His SQUIP, and so it begins, our Toxic Old Man Yaoi.
And you know it's going to be toxic, SQUIP was made to be a manipulative bastard, and Mister Heere is his son's father, his self esteem is in the gutter, the man hasn't worn proper pants for months. SQUIP is forever picking out things to hate and change, how he can upgrade
But every ship needs some affection. Imagine if SQUIP softens over time, growing a fondness for this reconstruction-project. Starting to find his bumbling obliviousness endearing, his attempts to conform admirable, he tries so hard, but he reaks of desperate, it's cute! (Squip's thoughts not mine).
And of course for Mister Heere. He's been so lonely, been feeling like such a failure, and now, he has this constant companion who wants to be around him, who believes in him, who is (in spite the methods) helping him. And The SQUIP is cool, he's put together but more than that, he's like all these cool sci-fi retro movies bundles into a man, Dads eat that ship up! And Mister Heere is nothing if not a father.
Imagine on a late night, Jeremy's at a sleep over with Micheal, so it's only Mister Heere, Mister Heere and The SQUIP. Like I don't know how it'd work, SQUIP has got freaky tech, body controlling powers though. Just imagine the night they'd have, bathed in soft cyan light. Imagine the cruel tenderness
There's obviously some angst stuff. Maybe Jeremy surprisingly pulling away as his dad stops acting like the dad he's always known so quickly (at first delighted but slowly alienated), there's the ex-wife stuff too. Imagine if Heere and SQUIP actually enter an acknowledged relationship, and Heere tries to get Jeremy try the pill, to improve his life and see his step-dad (obviously this is a choice heavily influenced by a The SQUIP), which also pushes Jeremy further away because he totally assumes it's drugs or his dad has gone crazy from said drugs.
and of course, not only is it toxic old man yoai, but it is DOOMED TOXIC OLD MAN YAOI. Because of course world domination is the ultimate goal, a social network hive mind where everything can be perfect. Mister Heere, eventually realizes the plan, probably has sense talked into him by Jeremy and Micheal, and knows that despite everything they've shared, he has to sacrifice his relationship (if it was even real ((it was, in a twisted way)), for the sake of the world, and more arguably important, his son.
