O Lord, we come to you with our souls shattered and hearts battered. Our eyes haven’t shed tears in your remembrance in ages. We are torn between chasing after this world, whilst you keep reminding us of what it’s worth. We are broken, yes, but we are not completely lost. Bless us then O Lord, and guide us, for we are always in need of the good you bestow us with.

You can try, you can make all the efforts but in this life there are no guarantees, that much is pretty clear. However, that doesn’t mean you stop trying, or you just let it all go. What needs to be considered is that you do what you can, with the strength you have and then leave things be on God. That is the pinnacle of reliance and dependence. You do your part and then let God decide the rest; if you get what you wanted you’re happy, but in case you didn’t then know that God has something better in store for you. This is not easy at times for the mind to grasp but it’s indeed a struggle worth having.
