Who am I

Today I can genuinely see myself in each person on each side of the fence. Meaning I can see myself or my behaviors and/actions in each person I support and the people who abused me. I grew up in such an abusive environment that as an adult my children also suffered from abuse. As I learned more I did better and changed. But I never considered myself abusive. Until I took a look deep inside and was REALLY HONEST and TRUTHFUL look at myself and my actions. I am by no means an angel nor do I strive to be, but I know better and I TRY TO DO BETTER on a daily basis. I have been an bad example and a horrible excuse. One thing remained constant. Change.

I acknowledge my strengths, my weakness's, my truth, my demons, my beauty and my mind just as we all should. I wanted a better world for my children so I set out to make a change...I hope you have too. When people ask me what have I done to make changes with and in our society/communities Im proud of my answer. Will you be? Did you own your truth for the greater good? Be proud of yourselves, keep your heads high and acknowledge your worth in whatever you do...Dont give up, give in or quit! Survivors don't die, we Persevere.

I am just me. A recovering survivor/addict with so much more to learn. I hope you get to know me before you judge me.

1 Year ago today... Some higher force said "Hold on Babe, We're going for a ride!" Hah! My world was flipped the fuck upside-down. It's been a tough journey and I wouldn't want anyone to have to go thru any similar circumstances. There was a time in my life when being "skinny" was the ideal. Clearly, it wasn't healthy. I weighed in at a boney 124lbs on the left. Was miserable. Was never enough, never skinny enough, never good enough. I'm a whopping 140 on the right. Healthier. And full of self love. Today I lifted for my husband (It's his birthday)! I put an intention to this workout and I pushed. So many times in my life I've used excuses not to push forwards because of FEAR! Afraid I may fail, afraid I may succeed. No time, I have kids climbing on me, I'm not worth putting time and money into myself. But that's not who I am anymore. I push into my fear! I use it! Today I went even heavier on my weights in some of the moves I struggle with the most! I am so proud of myself! And I get to share that with my family and that amazing positivity for the rest of the day! Use your fear. Don't let it use you!
