being tutored by Nayeon was supposed to fix your grades—not ruin her cool⋆˚꩜。
Transferring mid-semester is humiliating.
You’re standing at the front of the lecture hall while Professor Kim adjusts his glasses and says, “We have a new student joining us today.”
Every head turns.
You hate it.
There’s a group near the middle row that looks especially put together—effortlessly cool, like they walked out of a campus magazine spread.
One of them—tall, athletic, short hair—gives you a polite nod. Another waves brightly. One girl in particular doesn’t smile.
She just watches.
Im Nayeon.
You don’t know her name yet, but you will.
“There’s an empty seat next to Nayeon,” the professor says.
Of course there is.
You make your way down the steps, trying not to trip over your own nerves. The girl next to the empty seat closes her laptop slightly as you sit.
“Hi,” you say softly.
She nods once. “You transferred from Busan?”
“…Yeah.”
“I’ve seen your transcript.”
You blink. “You’ve—what?”
“I’m the department tutor,” she says flatly. “You’re behind.”
Oh.
That’s how this is going to be.
After class, the friendly girl who waved earlier bounds over.
“I’m Sana! That’s Jihyo, Jeongyeon, Momo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. And that,” she tilts her head toward the girl packing her bag, “is Nayeon. She’s scary at first but it’s mostly an act.”
“I heard that,” Nayeon says without looking up.
You laugh.
It’s a mistake.
Because Nayeon finally looks at you properly.
And for a second, something shifts.
You find out later that afternoon that tutoring sessions are mandatory.
With her.
“Library. four,” she says before walking away.
No please. No explanation.
Just expectation.
At four, she’s already there.
Highlighter uncapped. Notes organized. Two coffees—one black, one with cream.
She slides the lighter one toward you without comment.
“You’re struggling with statistics,” she says.
“Wow. Way to open gently.”
Her lips twitch. Barely.
“You’re capable,” she says. “You’re just distracted.”
“By what?”
She meets your eyes.
“Everything.”
This is going to be a problem.
By the third session, she stops being so sharp.
By the fifth, she leans closer when explaining formulas.
By the seventh, her hand brushes yours when you both reach for the same pen—and neither of you pulls away immediately.
“You’re improving,” she says quietly.
You grin. “That sounded almost proud.”
“I don’t praise without reason.”
“Then say it properly.”
She studies you for a long second.
“You’re doing well.”
And somehow, that feels like the best thing anyone’s said to you all semester.
Across campus, from a picnic table under a tree, Sana nudges Jihyo.
“Do you see that?”
Jihyo follows her gaze to the library window.
Nayeon is leaning too close.
You’re smiling too wide.
“Oh,” Jihyo says.
“Oh,” Sana echoes.
The announcement happens on a random Tuesday.
“Midterm group presentations,” Professor Kim says. “Partners are assigned.”
You don’t think anything of it.
“Y/N, you’ll be working with Anton.”
There’s a guy two rows over who turns around immediately and smiles at you.
“Hey,” he says after class. “Guess we’re partners.”
You nod. “Looks like it.”
From across the room, you feel it.
You glance over your shoulder.
Nayeon is watching.
Her expression is neutral.
Too neutral.
That afternoon, you and Anton sit at a campus cafe going over the project outline.
He’s funny. Smart. Surprisingly good at explaining concepts.
“You’re actually way ahead,” he says. “Didn’t you just transfer?”
“I have a good tutor,” you say without thinking.
“Oh?” he grins. “Are they scary?”
You laugh. “A little.”
You don’t see the way someone across the cafe door pauses.
Nayeon hadn’t meant to stop in.
She definitely hadn’t meant to watch.
Anton leans in slightly when he talks. You lean closer to hear him over the noise.
It’s harmless.
Completely harmless.
Her jaw tightens anyway.
Tutoring that evening feels… off.
“You’re distracted,” Nayeon says, flipping through your notes.
“I’m not.”
“You are.”
You frown. “We just started.”
Her pen presses harder against the paper than necessary.
“Your project partner,” she says evenly. “You seem comfortable with him.”
Oh.
So that’s what this is.
“He’s nice.”
“I didn’t ask that.”
You blink. “Then what are you asking?”
Silence stretches.
Nayeon finally looks up from your notes.
“I’m asking if you’re actually working,” she says evenly, “or if you’re planning on letting a ‘nice guy’ carry your grade while you laugh at his jokes in public cafes.”
Heat rises to your cheeks. “We were working. And it’s not like I had a choice—Professor Kim assigned us. Besides, I thought you said I was improving. Don’t you trust your own tutoring?”
Nayeon’s pen clicks—once, twice, three times.
“I trust my work,” she says coolly. “I don’t trust him. Guys like that see someone new and talented and decide they get to orbit around her. It’s inefficient.”
“Inefficient,” you repeat, a faint smile tugging at your lips. “So this is about time management?”
Nayeon leans in.
Her perfume—clean, expensive, faintly sweet—wraps around you.
She reaches for your coffee instead of your notebook, turning the cup slowly. Her thumb drags across the rim where your lips had been.
“I’m the one who stayed up until two color-coding your study guides,” she murmurs. “I’m the one who knows you mix up mean and median when you’re tired. I’ve put in the hours, Y/N. I don’t like competitors.”
Your breath stutters. “Nayeon, he’s just my partner.”
“Then keep him as one,” she says sharply—though her eyes soften when they meet yours. “I’m increasing our sessions. Daily. Starting tomorrow.”
“Daily? I have a life.”
“You have a GPA,” she counters. “Four o’clock. Don’t be late.”
The next afternoon, you’re early.
Anton is leaning over your shoulder, pointing at a typo and laughing.
“Seriously, Y/N, you’re a genius. How did you get that formula right on the first try?”
“I had a very strict teacher,” you say.
The air shifts.
You don’t need to look up to know she’s there.
Nayeon stands a few feet away—Sana and Momo flanking her like backup dancers she didn’t ask for.
Sana waves brightly. “Hi, Y/N! Studying?”
“We’re just finishing up,” Anton says, offering a polite smile. “I’m Anton.”
Nayeon doesn’t take his hand.
She doesn’t even glance at it.
Instead, she walks to the chair beside you—the one his bag is sitting on. She lifts it with two fingers and holds it out to him.
“Our session starts in sixty seconds,” she says calmly. “The library is for quiet study.”
Anton blinks. “Right. Uh. Sure.”
He gives you a confused look. “I’ll text you about the slides?”
“Yeah,” you say quietly.
Once he’s gone, Sana leans in. “Nayeonnie, you look like you’re about to duel someone.”
“Leave,” Nayeon mutters.
Sana grins at you. “Good luck.”
Ten minutes in, Nayeon hasn’t said a word about statistics.
She’s aggressively highlighting a page that’s already fluorescent.
“Nayeon,” you say, closing your book. “Talk to me.”
“I am talking. Chapter five.”
“No. You’re sulking.”
Her pen stops mid-stroke.
“You looked happy,” she says softly. “With him.”
You blink.
“You don’t laugh like that when it’s just us.”
“That’s because when it’s just us, you’re interrogating my homework.”
Silence.
“And because I’m nervous,” you add, leaning forward. “I’m nervous because the smartest, prettiest girl on campus is sitting across from me and I’m trying not to embarrass myself.”
Nayeon freezes.
Her eyes lift slowly to yours.
“Prettiest?” she repeats.
You swallow. “Yeah.”
For a second, the sharp edges fall away.
She looks unsure.
“You don’t get nervous around him,” she says quietly.
“I don’t care what he thinks,” you answer.
That lands.
“You care what I think?” she asks.
“Yes.”
Her breath catches.
The confident, composed tutor is gone for a moment. In her place it’s just Nayeon.
A girl who stayed up until two for you.
A girl who dragged her friends to the library because she couldn’t stand watching you laugh with someone else.
The fluorescent lights hum above you.
Pages rustle somewhere behind the shelves.
Nayeon’s fingers tighten around her pen.
Then she straightens.
“We’re done for today,” she says, a little too briskly.
You blink. “We’ve barely—”
“You don’t need chapter five,” she cuts in. “You already understand it.”
That’s new.
You watch her close your textbook gently this time.
She avoids your eyes.
“I have somewhere to be anyway.”
“Oh?” you ask, trying not to sound disappointed.
Before she can answer, a familiar voice sings from behind the stacks.
“Actuallyyyyy, you both do.”
Sana appears like she’s been waiting for her cue, Momo right behind her, holding two iced coffees she absolutely did not buy for studying.
“We’re throwing a party tomorrow,” Sana announces, dropping into the chair Anton vacated earlier. “Girls only. Strictly. Mandatory attendance.”
Nayeon sighs. “It’s not mandatory.”
“It is,” Momo says firmly. “You’ve been insufferable all week.”
You choke on a laugh.
Nayeon shoots her a look. “I have not.”
Sana stands abruptly. “Party. Tomorrow. My apartment. Eight.”
Sana grins at you like she’s watching her favorite drama unfold. “You’re coming, right?”
You glance at Nayeon.
She’s already slinging her bag over her shoulder, posture straight, expression carefully neutral.
“Yes,” you say.
Her shoulders relax just a fraction.
“Good,” Sana chirps. “Wear something cute. It’s a celebration.”
“Of what?” you ask.
Momo smirks. “Of Nayeon finally admitting she has feelings.”
“I did not—”
“See you tomorrow!” Sana interrupts brightly, dragging Momo away before Nayeon can combust.
The library feels quiet again.
Too quiet.
Nayeon adjusts the strap on her bag.
“You don’t have to come,” she mutters.
“I want to.”
She hesitates.
“Then I’ll see you tomorrow,” she says, voice steadier than her eyes.
And when she walks away this time, it doesn’t feel like distance.
It feels like anticipation.
Sana’s apartment is warm, loud, glowing with fairy lights.
Music hums through the speakers.
Momo’s already eating.
Mina’s curled up on the couch judging everyone.
Jihyo is losing at a card game and insisting she’s not competitive.
You almost don’t recognize Nayeon at first.
She’s leaning against the kitchen counter, drink in hand, hair slightly looser than usual.
She sees you.
And forgets to hide it.
Her eyes travel.
You chose your outfit carefully.
Sana appears at your side immediately. “Oh she’s done for,” she whispers.
“Shut up,” you mutter.
Across the room, Nayeon downs the rest of her drink in one go.
“That’s her third,” Momo murmurs from somewhere near the fridge. “She doesn’t handle jealousy well.”
You swallow.
The party has shifted from loud to looser.
Someone started a game.
Someone else abandoned it.
Nayeon is sitting on the balcony steps, staring at the city lights.
You step outside.
It’s cooler. Quieter.
She glances up at you and her composure is gone.
“You came,” she says, like she wasn’t the one who invited you.
“You told me to.”
“I don’t tell you what to do.”
She lets out a quiet, tipsy laugh.
Her cheeks are flushed. Not just from alcohol.
“You look…” she starts, then stops.
“What?”
She squints at you like she’s trying to focus.
“Unfair.”
You sit beside her.
“Unfair how?”
“You shouldn’t be allowed to look like that,” she mutters. “Not when other people are around.”
Your heart kicks.
“That sounds possessive.”
She turns to you fully now.
“I am.”
No hesitation.
No sharp edges.
Just truth.
“You think I don’t notice?” she continues, words softer now. “The way people look at you? The way he looked at you?”
“He’s not here.”
“I know.” Her voice drops.
She insists, leaning closer. “I don’t like sharing.”
The alcohol has stripped away her careful phrasing.
“You don’t have to,” you say quietly.
Her eyes search yours like she’s checking if that’s real.
“You make me crazy,” she whispers. “I’ve never—” She exhales. “I don’t get jealous. I don’t compete. I don’t… feel like this.”
“Like what?”
“Like if someone else touches you, I’ll lose my mind.”
The air shifts.
The music inside fades into background noise.
“You won’t,” you murmur.
She leans in.
“Say it,” she says softly.
“Say what?”
“That you’re mine.”
Your breath catches.
“You’re drunk.”
“I am,” she agrees. “But I’ve wanted to say this for weeks.”
Her hand comes up—steadier than you expect—brushing a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
“I like you,” she whispers. “Not academically. Not competitively. Not because I feel responsible for you.”
Her thumb lingers at your jaw.
“I like you in a way that makes me selfish.”
The honesty makes your chest ache.
“You don’t have to be selfish,” you say.
“Yes, I do.”
And then she kisses you.
It’s warm and a little desperate and tastes faintly like whatever Sana mixed in that drink.
Her hand slides to your waist.
Yours grips the fabric of her shirt.
She pulls back just enough to breathe.
“Tell me to stop,” she says, voice low now. Sober in a different way.
You don’t.
Instead, you kiss her again.
Her fingers tighten at your hip. Yours slide to her collar.
The balcony suddenly feels too public.
Too exposed.
Without breaking the kiss fully, she murmurs against your lips: “Inside.”
Hands still tangled.
When you step back into the apartment, Sana’s eyes widen instantly. “Oh,” she breathes.
Nayeon doesn’t look at them.
She takes your hand.
Leads you down the hallway. The bedroom door clicks shut. And the music outside keeps playing.
“I’ve wanted to do that for a long time.” her voice is softer now, “But I didn’t think you’d…” she trails off, biting her lip “I didn’t think you’d kiss me back like that.”
Her eyes are searching for yours “Do you... regret it?”
She waits, fingers nervously twisting the hem of her shirt. “Because I don’t, I really don’t.”
The room is silent except for the distant throb of music from the living room.
“Say something,” she whispers hoarsely.
She looks so small right now.
You lean in, fingertips tracing her jaw “I’ve been wishing you’d do that.” Another soft kiss, just brushing against her lips “So I definitely don’t regret it.”
Her eyes flutter closed at your touch, a soft sigh escaping her lips.
When you pull back slightly, she chases the contact, pressing a quick kiss to your nose. “Good,” she breathes. “Because I want to do it again.”
She leans in and captures your lips in a deeper, slower kiss, her hands going to your waist as if to anchor herself.
She kisses you like she’s been starving for you, her tongue sliding along your bottom lip, asking for entrance.
You part your lips and she takes that as an invitation, her tongue sliding inside to tangle with yours.
She breaks the kiss to trail open-mouthed kisses down your jaw and neck.
She murmurs against your throat “You taste so good—how is that fair?”
Her fingers find the waistband of your jeans, thumb pressing warm circles against your hip.
A small sound escapes you as she nips at your collarbone, and her hands tighten on your waist.
“Is this okay?” she asks against your skin, breath hot.
Your soft moan answers her question better than words ever could.
Encouraged, she kisses lower, her lips brushing the neckline of your shirt.
You gasp as her fingertips graze the sensitive skin of your lower abdomen.
She smiles against your skin, clearly pleased with your reaction.
Her other hand comes up to tug at the hem of your shirt, trying to push it up to expose more of your stomach.
“Can I—?”
Your hands move to help her, pulling your shirt up and over your head in one swift motion.
She throws it aside without looking, her eyes immediately darkening as they rake over your bare torso.
She palms your stomach, her thumb brushing just below your bra line.
“So pretty—“
She leans down and presses a kiss to your cleavage, then another to your ribcage.
Her hands slide up your sides, thumbs brushing the undersides of your breasts through the thin fabric of your bra.
She looks up at you through her lashes, checking your expression.
“Nayeon—“ you breathe, voice shaky.
She smiles against your skin before nuzzling into it, leaving open-mouthed kisses on your collarbone and chest.
One of her hands moves up to cup your breast possessively through your bra. “Mmm?”
She starts to slowly massage your breast, her thumb circling your nipple through the fabric until it pebbles beneath her touch.
She leans back to watch your reaction, biting her lip at the sight of you arching into her hand.
Without warning, she dips her head and closes her mouth over your nipple, suckling gently through the fabric.
The wet fabric of your bra and the gentle suction of her mouth send shivers through you. Her free hand slips around your back to unhook your bra.
Your chest rises and falls rapidly, nipples hard and aching.
She licks her lips. “God, you’re so fucking pretty like this,”
She leans back in and takes one of your nipples into her mouth, suckling harder this time.
Her hand squeezes your other breast, thumb circling the nipple. She switches between each breast eagerly, marking them with hickeys.
She slowly leads you to sit down on bed, placing both of her arms on your side.
You gasp and whimper as she marks you up, your hands tangling in her hair to hold her close.
Her hands slide down to unbutton your jeans, pushing them and your underwear down together.
“Lift up,”
You follow her command, lifting your hips so she can slide your jeans and underwear down and off, leaving you completely bare before her.
“Holy shit,”
She pushes your thighs apart with gentle hands, settling between them.
She leans down, her breath hot against your inner thigh as she presses open-mouthed kisses there.
Her hands grip your thighs, spreading you wider as she makes her way up, teasingly close to where you’re already wet and aching.
“Spread wider for me,” she whispers, “Please.”
Her polite begging makes you melt.
You spread your legs wider, inviting her in completely.
She leans down and presses a chaste kiss right to your clit, then another to your folds.
You cry out, back arching off the bed.
Her tongue finds your clit, circling it lazily before sucking gently. She groans against you, the vibration making you see stars.
“So wet for me—“ she murmurs before diving back in.
Her tongue pushes inside you, fucking you slowly with it while her thumb rubs circles on your clit.
You babble nonsense, hips rolling against her face as she tongue-fucks you like a goddess.
She adds another finger, curling them to hit your g-spot perfectly.
Your legs start shaking like crazy.
She hooks them over her arms, spreading you obscenely wide.
“Look at you,”
“You’re fucking dripping, baby, so pretty when you’re getting eaten out.” she sucks your clit hard and you almost come right then. “Gonna make you come all over my face,”
Your hands fly to her hair, holding her in place as she eats you out like she’s starving for it.
Your thighs clamp around her head and she just groans and doubles down, three fingers pumping into you now, tongue never leaving your clit.
You scream her name, back arching off the bed as she curls her fingers inside you, rubbing that spot that makes your vision blur.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck—“ you chant.
“Come on my tongue, baby, I wanna taste you,” she says against your pussy, voice muffled and so fucking dirty.
It doesn’t take much more—she’s been hitting all the right spots for long enough.
You scream, back arching as you come hard against her mouth, soaking her face and fingers with your release.
She drinks you down greedily, licking through your orgasm until you’re trembling and shaking, legs threatening to give out.
She kisses your thigh softly. “Good girl.”
She kisses her way back up your body, settling beside you.
You can taste yourself on her lips when she kisses you sweetly, sharing your flavor with you.
Her hand strokes your sweat-damp hair. “You okay?” she asks softly, eyes searching yours.
Her shirt is still on, yours is off, and your panties are around your ankle.
Seeing your flushed face and disheveled state makes her smile softly.
She pulls back slightly to look at you, your breasts rising and falling rapidly.
“Want more?” she whispers teasingly.
You’re still catching your breath when she asks it.
Your limbs feel loose, heavy in the best way.
You let out a shaky laugh instead of answering.
“I think,” you murmur, voice wrecked and honest, “I need to rest.”
Nayeon’s teasing expression melts instantly.
“Oh, okay,” she says quietly. “We can rest.”
You nod, eyes drifting shut for a second.
She reaches for the blanket at the foot of the bed and pulls it over you both, tucking it around your shoulders like you’re something fragile.
Your head ends up against her chest.
Her heartbeat is still racing.
You crack one eye open.
There’s a corkboard above the dresser covered in polaroids.
Sana. In different outfits. Different hair colors. Making ridiculous poses. Holding snacks. Group shots. More Sana.
You lift your head slowly.
There’s a framed photo of Sana in a graduation cap on the nightstand.
Another one of Sana and Jihyo on the bookshelf.
You blink.
“Nayeon?”
“Hm?”
“Why is there a life-sized cutout of Sana in the corner?”
Silence.
Then Nayeon goes very, very still.
“Is this,” you start slowly, “Sana’s bedroom?”
A guilty pause.
“Maybe.”
You sit up.
“Nayeon.”
“She said we could use it!”
“She said that?”
“She winked. That counts.”
You stare at her.
Then you burst out laughing.
Nayeon rubs the back of her neck.
“She has better soundproofing,” she mutters defensively.
You collapse back onto the pillows, covering your face.
“I cannot believe our first time was under a wall of Sana selfies.”
“It’s not ideal,” Nayeon admits.
You peek at her.
She lies back down beside you, pulling you close again.
Your head settles under her chin.
Her fingers trace lazy patterns along your arm.
The music outside is still going. Someone laughs loudly in the living room. A glass clinks.
But in here, it’s quiet.
“You don’t regret it?” she asks again, barely above a whisper.
You tilt your head up to kiss her gently.
“No.”
She exhales like she’s been holding that breath all week.
“Good,” she murmurs.
And when you finally drift off for a few minutes, tangled up in her arms in Sana’s very purple bedroom, Nayeon doesn’t let go.
The Pleasure Equation: When the Nerd Solves Everything, Including You
Nayeon x Male Reader
word count: 8.2k
a/n: Yo, my first published smut. I hope you like it. Feel free to tell me what you think.
—
You're lying on the couch, staring at the ceiling and wondering why, in the 21st century, universities still think pairing people for projects is a good idea. Plus, you're terrible at this subject. Advanced Calculus? They might as well call it "How to Ruin My Weekend." The only saving grace is that your partner, Nayeon, the biggest nerd in class, will handle most of it. For you, it seems like a golden ticket: she does the work, and you pretend you helped. It was the perfect plan. What could go wrong?
The doorbell rings. Of course, it’s her. You were expecting it—you could almost time Nayeon's nerdy punctuality. And, as always, she looks like the picture-perfect good girl—cardigan, glasses, skirt, that innocent, serious air of someone more interested in spreadsheets than in people. The kind of girl most guys wouldn't look at twice. But you, well, you had to look. It was obligatory since she was going to carry your weight in this project.
You open the door, and there she is, laptop under her arm, shy smile and everything you imagined. The nerd who's here to save your semester.
What you didn’t know—and God knew you were about to find out—is that Nayeon had planned a different type of study for this project.
She walks in with that confident stride that only people who are either extremely smart or who know the subject is your lifeline have. And honestly, you’re not ready for the energy she brings.
“Hi,” she says, glancing around your house, skipping any small talk.
“Hey, Nayeon. Nice to have you here.” You try to sound more enthusiastic than you really are. “Want anything? Water, juice, tea?” you offer, hoping to buy yourself a few more minutes of procrastination before facing the project.
“No, thanks.” She looks at you over her glasses, almost as if she’s analyzing your soul. “I think we should just get started. The sooner we finish, the better.”
“Yeah, better,” you think. And with that, off you go to your bedroom. Yes, the bedroom, because it’s the only place in the house that seems even remotely presentable. There are piles of books (that you haven’t read, just skimmed for the basics), notebooks with ridiculously short notes you took, some clothes scattered here and there... oh, and your unmade but perfectly comfortable bed, where you sit on the edge. It was a clinically tidy room compared to the living room or the kitchen.
Nayeon doesn't seem to care about anything. She sits at the desk chair and opens her laptop.
The project, of course, is about "Modeling Algebraic Functions for the Optimization of Industrial Processes." Or something equally mind-numbing that only Nayeon seems to understand. You’re more lost than someone trying to solve a Rubik's cube in the dark. And it’s all because of your dad, who, in his non-threatening way, persuaded you to follow the family career path. Damn Engineering (and tradition).
Nayeon, as always, is already deep into the work, fingers flying over the keyboard while her glasses slip to the tip of her nose, balancing dangerously between focused nerd and, well... ¿sexy? nerd?
Not that you’d admit that.
She glances at you, and for a second, you almost feel like she expects you to say something useful. Which, of course, would be a grave miscalculation. Literally.
“So, I thought you could start with the part about differential equations,” she says, making the suggestion with the ease of someone asking you to hold a cup, when what she’s really offering is a grand piano. “And then the graphs…”
You pretend to be genuinely interested. Which means nodding in a way that could be mistaken for understanding if someone looked quickly, but in reality, you're utterly lost.
“Oh, sure, differential equations…” you repeat, as if the words held any special meaning. They don’t.
Nayeon sighs and goes back to typing, clearly aware of the level of uselessness you're operating at. She’s probably already mentally dividing the entire project, calculating how many extra hours she'll need to cover for the fact that you're, essentially, dead weight.
“Maybe you could review the introduction,” she suggests, polite but with the patience of someone talking to a child who still doesn’t know the difference between shapes.
You scratch your head, pretending to read the introduction she’s already written. One, two lines. Everything looks very... professional. You attempt to seem helpful:
“You know, I think you’re... um... doing great with this. Maybe... maybe I should focus more on the creative part of the project, like... the presentation design?” you suggest, smiling, as if making a PowerPoint full of silly animations was an undervalued talent in academia.
She raises an eyebrow.
“Design?” Nayeon asks, sarcasm dripping from her tone. “In an Advanced Calculus project? You want to fill the presentation with glitter and stars, is that it?”
“Hey, glitter makes everything better,” you reply, defensive, but unable to suppress a smile. “Maybe throw in some memes to lighten the mood… People love memes... I guess.”
“I’m not sure if you're joking or if you've completely given up on life,” Nayeon mutters, with a short, dry laugh, returning to the keyboard.
You shift on the bed, trying to find a position that seems less like a desperate student and more like someone slightly focused on the project. The silence is broken only by the sound of her typing and your occasional murmur of fake approval: “Hmm, sure, that makes sense…”
It doesn’t.
Then, out of nowhere, Nayeon looks at you again, but this time with a different kind of curiosity. There’s something in her eyes, something that goes beyond pure calculation—and we’re not talking about the equations.
“You live alone, right?” The question comes casually, almost innocently. Almost.
“Uh, yeah, I do,” you answer, a bit confused by the sudden shift. “Why?”
“Just... curious,” she replies, but the smile she gives is far from innocent. “It must be nice living alone. I bet you can do whatever you want, right? No one around to hear...”
“Yeah, kind of,” you say, scratching the back of your neck. “Like... I can have pizza for breakfast without being judged. And play video games late. It’s not as glamorous as it sounds.”
Nayeon laughs, but in a way that makes you feel a bit uncomfortable, like she knows something you don’t.
“And... what do you mean by ‘do whatever you want’?” you ask, hesitant but unable to resist the curiosity.
“Oh, nothing,” she says, looking away for a second. “Just thinking... it must be interesting. Having that kind of freedom.”
She pauses and looks directly at you again, her fingers sliding slowly across the keyboard, as if the project was now the last thing on her mind.
“Tell me something... what’s your type?” The question lands like a stone thrown into a calm lake, sending ripples of confusion through you.
You almost choke.
“My... type?” you repeat, as if it’s a math problem with too many variables.
“Yeah, like... what do you find attractive in someone?” Nayeon continues, her voice far too casual for the situation. She leans forward slightly, her eyes locked on yours.
“Well, I dunno.” You shift uncomfortably. “I guess... someone fun, you know? Someone who can make me laugh.”
“Hmm. And me?” Nayeon tilts her head, her glasses now low enough to reveal her sharp eyes behind them. “Do I make you laugh?”
You freeze, because the right answer to this feels like a trap.
Sure, Nayeon’s made you laugh plenty of times, especially when she freaks out over losing half a point on a test. But that doesn’t seem like the kind of "laugh" she’s asking about.
“Uh, yeah, of course!” you respond, quickly. “I mean, in a good way. Not that I’m laughing *at* you, but... you know what I mean, right?”
She smiles, and you’re not sure if she’s satisfied with your answer or just amused by your nervousness.
“You know,” Nayeon continues, “I think I prefer guys who... know what they want. Guys with attitude.”
You nod, trying to process what’s happening.
“Oh, sure. Attitude is always good, right?” you reply, having no idea where this conversation is heading.
She looks at you in a way that feels almost predatory, and you realize that, somehow, whatever control you thought you had over this situation (even a little) now belongs entirely to her.
“Do you have it?” she asks. “Attitude?”
At that moment, you realize two things: first, Nayeon isn’t interested in solving differential equations today. And second, you probably should’ve agreed to do the graphs.
You feel the pressure of the question like a multiple-choice exam where all the answers seem wrong.
"Now?" you stammer, as if time itself is about to collapse. "Uh… I don’t know, I think we’re in the middle of a project, right? I wouldn’t want to interrupt…"
"Interrupt?" She lets out a short laugh. "I think work went out the window a long time ago, don’t you?"
With that, she stands up, closing the laptop, and starts walking slowly around the room, as if inspecting the space, or maybe just teasing you on purpose. Every step she takes seems more choreographed than anything you’ve ever seen on stage.
Suddenly, she stops, untying her hair and shaking it loose.
"You know," she continues, turning her gaze back to you, "I thought of a way to make things more interesting."
Your brain, of course, is already in full panic mode, but your mouth, as always, insists on trying to sound casual.
"Really? Interesting how?" you ask, hoping the answer isn’t something like "Russian roulette."
She crosses her arms. You realize that, at some point, you completely lost any chance of controlling your own fate.
"A game," Nayeon says, with a sly smile. "Let’s play a game. What do you say?"
"What kind of game?" you ask, already regretting letting curiosity win over survival instinct.
"Oh, don’t worry, nothing too crazy," she replies, shrugging as if the suggestion were perfectly innocent. "Something fun, to relax, since the project clearly isn’t going anywhere today."
She steps closer to you, with that conspiratorial air of someone about to suggest something really dangerous.
"What do you think?" she whispers, lowering her voice. "You up for playing with me?"
"Err... depends on the game, right?" you reply, trying to sound laid-back.
Her eyes gleam behind her glasses, and the smile on her lips is pure provocation.
"Let’s see… How about something simple?" she suggests, her eyes never leaving yours. "Questions and answers. To test what you've been learning in the course."
"Just that?" you ask, half skeptical, half curious.
She speaks with a lightness that contrasts the intensity of her proposal:
"Of course not. For every question you get right, I’ll take off a piece of clothing."
You blink. Blink again. And then a third time, just to make sure you heard correctly.
"What?" you blurt out, a laugh escaping before you can control it. "You’re kidding, right?"
Nayeon crosses her arms, that crafty smile still on her face. Apparently, she’s not kidding.
"I’m dead serious. And if you manage to make me take off everything, I’ll give you a prize."
"A prize?" You try to keep your composure, but all you can think about is that maybe studying Calculus isn’t so bad after all. "What kind of prize?"
Nayeon doesn’t respond with words. Instead, she lifts her skirt just enough to reveal a glimpse of her panties — white, of course, because even in this, she has to be precise and teasing.
You swallow hard, your eyes nearly popping out of their sockets. Suddenly, the temperature in the room rises by five degrees, and it has nothing to do with global warming.
"Hm... okay, let’s go," you respond, trying to sound casual, but in reality, your mind is a complete mess. Who knew the class nerd had this side to her?
"Great." Nayeon giggles before adjusting her glasses and kicking off her shoes to, let’s say, get more comfortable. "First question: What’s the basic principle of algebraic function modeling applied to industrial process optimization?"
You stare at her. Of course, it wasn’t going to be an easy game. Your brain tries, with herculean effort, to remember what the hell that means.
"Hm… I think… it’s using equations to simplify a complex process?" you guess.
She smiles.
"Well, close enough. You got the general concept," she says.
She starts with the most innocent pieces, of course. The cardigan that you barely noticed she was wearing, because let’s be honest, your focus was more on the project — or on how not to do it... Well, at least that’s what you thought. Now, the focus has definitely changed. Every button that opens feels like a small personal victory. And before you know it, the cardigan is on the floor. She looks at you with a sly smile.
"Shall we continue?"
"Damn right, I’m enjoying this!"
"How do you define an improper integral?"
You blink. Of course, she’d come up with one of those questions you never knew the answer to.
"An… improbable integral?"
She laughs, a clear, almost musical sound that fills the room. If Nayeon were the type of person who enjoyed academically torturing others, she was definitely on the right track.
"I’ll give you a hint," she leans forward, just enough for you to see part of the top underneath her perfectly white blouse. "It has something to do with limits."
Limits. Of course. Yours are being tested in a different way. You vaguely remember the professor mentioning something about this, between naps.
"Oh, right! It’s when the interval goes to infinity, right?" you venture, your heart already beating faster.
"Correct!" She claps her hands, feigning innocent excitement that definitely doesn’t match the way her hands move toward the buttons of her blouse. One button, two, three... and soon, Nayeon’s blouse is off, revealing a black camisole, tight enough to show that she had planned all of this meticulously.
You exhale a breath you didn’t even know you were holding. Now, you’re invested in the game.
"Next question: What are the three most common methods to solve a system of linear equations?"
Linear equations? Of course, you slept through that class. But then… things start to click.
"Elimination, substitution, and… matrices."
"You’re getting the hang of it, huh?" she says, her voice almost a purr.
Without hesitation, she leans back a little and, with a slow, sensual gesture, removes the black camisole, now revealing a delicate white bra, almost the same shade as her skin.
Your heart is pounding in your chest, but somehow, you’re starting to enjoy the game, and oddly enough, math too. Well, this is definitely a more rewarding way to learn something you don’t like.
"Now an easier one," she teases, as if giving you a break. "How do you calculate the area under a curve?"
You swallow hard, not because of the question, but because Nayeon is crossing her arms in a way that’s far from casual, emphasizing even more what’s... well, on display.
"Definite integrals," you answer quickly, perhaps with more enthusiasm than necessary.
She gives a small round of applause, but this time doesn’t make any immediate move to take off anything else.
"Very good! But... are you sure you want to continue?" she asks, tilting her head, as her fingers rest on the zipper of her skirt.
You’re not sure if you want to continue the game or skip straight to the “prize,” but whatever it is, you need this girl naked. But for that you need to concentrate, but how would you do it? It's certainly not easy. Not when she runs her fingers, provocatively slow, to the zipper of her skirt.
“Alright, just one more, then,” she says, with a false lightness that only adds to the tension in the air, “a simpler one, I promise. If you get it right, I’ll take off one more piece. If you get it wrong… the game’s over.”
Your mind is racing, a mix of nerves and pure curiosity. After all, how did you end up here, being quizzed by Nayeon, The Nerd™? And now, The Nerd™ was about to strip.
Weird world.
“Okay… ask the question,” you say, trying to seem calm. Just trying.
Nayeon raises an eyebrow, still toying with the zipper of her skirt, but not pulling it down at all, just… waiting. “What’s Stokes' theorem?” she asks.
You almost laugh. Not really, more like a nervous chuckle that escapes before you realize… crap, you actually don’t remember.
“Erm…” you begin, desperately searching for some vague memory of a class you definitely slept through.
Nayeon doesn’t miss the look of panic on your face.
“Ah, struggling?” she asks, her voice sweetly sadistic. “How about a hint?” She leans in, the skirt still untouched, but in a deliberate move, she adjusts her bra, already more revealing than it should be, giving you a clear view of her generous cleavage.
You clear your throat, dying a little inside but trying to maintain your composure.
“Uh, it has to do with surface integrals, right? Something about flows… and vectors…”
“Exactly! Flows and vectors,” she repeats, satisfied. And then, in an almost innocent gesture, as if she were merely taking off an uncomfortable shoe after a long day, she pulls the zipper of the skirt, which slides down her legs, hitting the floor like it didn’t even matter, revealing her bare legs and white panties. Her thighs are even more perfect than you imagined—toned, lightly defined. Your throat dries up as if you’ve just run a marathon, but the only thing racing is your heart.
Honestly, you’re never really prepared for every time she gets more and more exposed. She places a hand on her hip, looking at you with that expression that makes you wonder how you never realized this before—that yes, Nayeon, the “nerd” of the class, was a girl far more complex than any Stokes theorem.
“So, what now? Want to continue or… are you satisfied?” She pouts adorably, challenging you, and you know, at that moment, that she wants you to keep going. After all, she’s having way too much fun.
You take a deep breath, determined, even though your mind is light-years away from any coherent thought.
“Sure. Next question. I’m going to win my prize.”
“What a determined guy,” Nayeon chuckles softly, with that teasing air, as if you were on a quiz show and not in some sort of erotically torturous strip game for the brave. “Alright then… explain the principle of superposition.”
She knew you had no idea. You knew that she knew. But what did it matter? What mattered was that your eyes were glued to every movement she made. She tilted her head, playing with the strap of her bra.
You think for a moment. Superposition… electric fields… sure, you got this.
“It’s when, hmm…” your voice cracks, but you force yourself to sound confident. “It’s when the sum of the effects of multiple causes is equal to the sum of the individual causes. Each field acts like the others aren’t even there.”
She leans in, subtly, fiddling with the strap of her bra, her eyes never leaving yours.
“Exactly,” she says, letting the strap fall with a slow motion from one shoulder. And then, from the other. “Congratulations.”
The bra falls to the floor.
You try, honestly try, to keep your focus on what’s happening, but there’s a problem. Actually, two, and both of them are right in front of you, fully exposed. No matter how much your mind insists that you need to concentrate on the game… you simply can’t.
“J-just one more question, right?” You stammer, desperately trying to focus on your shoes, the wall, anything but… well, Nayeon, and the fact that she was now practically naked.
She leans forward slightly, arms “casually” crossed, and you’re convinced she did this just to make sure your brain imploded. One of her breasts lightly brushes against her arm, and your mind screams something between HELP and THANK YOU.
"Exactly,” she says, and there’s a hint of malice in her voice, that tone that indicates she knows by now you’re one step away from a complete meltdown. “One last question. If you get it right… you win your prize. If you get it wrong… you’ll do the entire project alone.”
Your head throbs, struggling to focus on anything besides her smooth skin and the hair falling loosely over her shoulders.
“Alone?” you repeat, dumbfounded. A simple word, but you can barely get it out.
She bites her lip, enjoying herself. And then, in the most seductive voice possible, she drops the bomb:
“Of course… if you mess up now in the final minutes, you’ll have to do it all on your own. But if you get it right, you’ll see what’s under this,” she pulls at the side of her white panties slightly, just enough to let your imagination spin. “And who knows what else…” Her voice is a caress wrapped in pure temptation.
Yeah, it’s worth the risk.
Focus, you tell yourself, as if that’s remotely possible. Here you are, in a state of complete mental confusion, and Nayeon is there, almost naked, suggesting there’s just one question left before… well, paradise. And hell, too, because clearly, you wouldn’t survive doing this fucked-up project alone.
“Alright, let’s go,” you force the words out. “What’s the last question?”
Nayeon smiles in a way that says, I got you. And of course, she did. She leans in again, this time closer, her panties still firmly in place, but for how long?
“Ready for this?” she murmurs, with the tone of a final temptation. “What law of electromagnetism describes the relationship between the circulation of a magnetic field along a closed path and the electric current passing through the surface enclosed by that path?”
You freeze. Your mind is almost there, trying to grab the answer from some corner not focused on the fact that Nayeon is practically naked in front of you.
“Uh…” you begin, Nayeon sways her hips as she waits. “It’s… it’s…” you struggle. Nothing. Your mind is completely blank, a screen of static.
Nayeon sighs, as if she’s genuinely disappointed. Of course she’s not. She’s having way too much fun for that.
“Need a hint?” she offers, with a smile as sweet as it is devastating.
You nod desperately. Anything, for God’s sake, anything to help!
She whispers softly, “This law introduced the concept of ‘displacement current.’”
You blink, and then, as if by some miracle, the answer comes to you. But before you can speak it aloud, Nayeon leans in again and your traitorous eyes glance at her exposed breasts.
You almost forget the answer entirely, but a slip or whatever that was makes you say, “Ampère-Maxwell’s Law,” your voice trembling, unsure if physics is about to save you or be the last nail in the coffin of your sanity.
Nayeon looks you up and down.
She approved.
Slowly, as if savoring the moment, in a exaggeratedly calculated movement, she pulls her panties down, revealing everything.
Her curves are so smooth they seem hand-carved by some Renaissance artist with a thing for naughty nerd girls. Her entire body is a work of art, every inch of her pure perfection, and as she moves closer, you feel like you’re about to lose control for good.
Nayeon sits beside you, her legs slightly apart so you can see her tight little pussy. She looks you up and down, the same look that used to seem like someone fully focused on her studies, now carrying much more obvious intentions.
"Do you like what you see?" she asks, her voice low and seductive.
You swallow hard, trying not to seem as out of control as you really are.
"Yeah... Very much..." you respond, your voice rougher than usual, and before you know it, Nayeon is leaning in closer, her body heat practically radiating onto you.
"What are you waiting for, then?" she whispers, her lips just inches from yours. The suggestion lingers in the air, and your body seems to move on its own. Your hand rises, hesitant, until it reaches her breasts, your fingers feeling the smoothness of her skin and the firmness that makes you forget about any equation or college project. You squeeze lightly, and Nayeon lets out a soft sigh that drives you even crazier.
She leans in more, her lips brushing yours in a gentle kiss. When she pulls away, her eyes are gleaming.
"I’ve always liked you, you know?" she confesses, lightly biting her lower lip as her hand slides down your chest. "I've always thought you were really hot… and smart, too. You just needed a little help focusing on what matters. You’ve got potential, you just need to get rid of the distractions."
You chuckle nervously, still trying to process what’s happening.
"I never imagined you were like this… You always seemed so… well-behaved." The words come out with difficulty, your mind still reeling between what you thought you knew about Nayeon and what you're discovering now.
She laughs softly, amused, her eyes half-closed as she replies.
"You can’t judge a book by its cover," she says, her voice almost a whispered secret, as if she’s letting you in on something few people are privileged to know.
She then pulls your hand to her waist, and you squeeze, feeling the softness of her skin, the warmth of her body under your fingers. Nayeon’s body fits against yours in a way that feels almost orchestrated. Her hands, agile and confident, slide down to your thigh, in a way that makes your breathing quicken even more.
And then you feel her touch on your groin. It’s a slow tease, and she looks into your eyes with a smile that’s almost victorious.
"Do you want me to suck you off?" she asks, her voice thick with desire.
Your heart is racing so fast you can barely think of a coherent response, but you nod, without hesitation.
"I do." The word escapes your lips, more of a groan than a response.
Nayeon smiles, that wicked smile you would never have associated with the girl who sat in the front row of the class.
"I’ve been dying to," she murmurs, the heat between you two rising with each second, promising much more than just an intellectual debate.
Nayeon kneels between your legs and prepares to take off her glasses. At that moment, it seems like the last facade of the “well-behaved nerd” is about to fall along with them. But you, in a sudden impulse of something even Freud would hesitate to analyze, reach out and say, almost automatically, “No, leave the glasses on. I like you like that.”
She stops, her fingers still hovering over the frames, and smiles in a way only someone about to change your fate could.
"Really?" She tilts her head, clearly liking the idea. Not just liking it—loving it. The kind of smile she gives you is one of someone who’s just gained a new strategic advantage in the game.
"Can you… do it… with the glasses on?" you ask, and honestly, now that the words are in the air, the question seems less weird than it should.
"Of course. If that’s what you want," Nayeon replies, the smile gaining an edge of provocation that makes you wonder if she hadn’t planned this all along.
She reaches for your pants and pulls them down along with your underwear. Nayeon touches your cock, and the sensation makes you realize how small her hands are. With incredibly soft fingers, she grips it firmly, as if evaluating something rare, a treasure she’s just found. Her eyes, still behind the lenses, look up at you.
"Wow..." she murmurs, impressed. "It’s so… big and thick.”
If you had any chance of keeping your composure, it vanished with that sentence.
"Your hand… is so soft," you manage to say, your brain desperately trying to keep up with what’s happening.
Nayeon smiles.
"Oh, if you liked that, just wait until I put it in my mouth."
And that’s exactly what she does. Nayeon spits into her palm, the quick, indecent sound echoing in the room, and starts stroking you, her touch now sliding with the ease of something well-lubricated, almost clinical—if it weren’t absolutely pornographic.
And then, with little warning, she swallows.
Just like that. As if she’d been trained at some secret school of forbidden pleasure, her mouth wraps around your cock, warm, wet, and with a desire bordering on voracious. She looks up at you from below, her glasses still firmly in place.
You writhe in pleasure. Nothing else matters. Not the project, not life’s worries. Just Nayeon, and the way she sucks, kisses, and takes you deep, with a dedication that would make anyone believe she’s indeed “studying” something.
"I’m going to use my breasts now," she says, stopping briefly, her voice slightly hoarse, as she adjusts her breasts, squeezing them around your cock.
Ah, Nayeon’s breasts. Warm, soft, and incredibly seductive, they create the perfect “pillow” as she starts giving you a titjob. And the glasses? Still there, perfectly framing her face, turning this whole thing into an improbable, yet wonderful fantasy.
The sensation of her breasts pressing against your cock is a next-level delight. Nayeon, with a mischievous look and a voice barely above a whisper, asks, "Are you enjoying this, babe?"
You can only groan in response, the sensation so intense that words refuse to form properly. Her breasts move up and down, creating a warm, sweaty pressure that’s almost indescribable. She adjusts the rhythm.
"This is..." you manage to say, your voice hoarse and breaking. "Fuck, this is amazing."
The pleasure builds, a rising heat that seems to have a life of its own as Nayeon keeps working her magic. Her breasts, pressing and rubbing with delicious intensity, create waves of pleasure that only get stronger.
As the rhythm quickens, Nayeon gives a satisfied smile. Her breasts continue to move up and down, the sensation around your cock hot and wet, and you feel the pressure and heat mounting.
You start to squirm, the sensations growing more and more intense. The pleasure is so overwhelming it feels like your body is on the verge of exploding. Nayeon adjusts the pressure and pace, making every touch and movement you feel even more intense.
“Am I making you feel good?” Nayeon asks.
You can only nod, the feeling of being on the brink of climax almost overwhelming. Your moans become more frequent, and you can feel yourself nearing the point of no return... something Nayeon hadn’t anticipated.
Then, just as the pleasure reaches an almost unbearable level, you cum. The first spurt surprises her, landing on her face. She stays there, wide-eyed and gasping, her glasses now smeared with your semen. She accepts what happened and keeps stroking you, and the second, weaker spurt drips down onto her breasts, slowly trickling. She finishes the job by rubbing your cock on her chest, spreading your cum all over her breasts until they’re thoroughly messy. When she stops, you exhale, feeling like you’re in paradise.
“Fuck… that was so damn good, Nayeon…”
She stays still for a moment, her expression a mix of surprise and indignation. The intensity of your orgasm seems to have caught her so off guard that even she needs a moment to process it.
“Why did you cum?!” Nayeon asks, removing her glasses, her voice filled with a mix of irritation and unfulfilled desire. “You haven’t even fucked me yet!”
Breathless and slightly embarrassed, you try to defuse the situation.
“Well, take it as a compliment,” you say, a sheepish smile forming on your face. “You’re just too hot for me to handle.”
Luckily for you, this makes Nayeon smile, the irritation melting into a flush. She relaxes, though still with a teasing edge.
“Tsk. But next time, don’t cum on my glasses,” she says, her voice softer now. “But if it felt good for you, I guess I can forgive it. Just know that I’ll make sure you get hard for me again,” she says with an authority that makes her even more irresistible.
Nayeon moves closer, slowly, like a predator about to capture its prey, her eyes gleaming with a mixture of challenge and mischief. You feel the air shift as she approaches, as though the entire room is holding its breath for what’s about to happen.
“Take off your clothes,” she commands, her voice low but filled with an authority that makes you obey without hesitation.
In an instant, you’re naked, sitting on the bed, vulnerable, your heart pounding faster. Nayeon watches you, a smile spreading across her lips, like she’s admiring a masterpiece she’s about to perfect. She sits beside you with a calculated calm, and before you know it, her lips are on yours—soft at first, then more intense, as if she’s learning every inch of your mouth.
Between kisses, her hand starts exploring your body, moving slowly, until it reaches exactly where you want it most. Her fingers wrap around your cock, and the touch is... electrifying. It’s not just any touch; it’s the kind that knows exactly what it’s doing. She strokes you lightly, almost teasingly, while her lips pull away just enough for her to whisper in your ear:
“Remember that time in class when the professor asked me to help you with an assignment?” She pauses, her lips brushing lightly against your ear. “All I could think about was how much I wanted you to fuck me until I came.”
The effect of her words is immediate. Your entire body reacts before your mind can even catch up. Your cock pulses hard in her hand, almost as if it’s following an unspoken command. She feels it and giggles softly, a sound just as provocative as every move of her fingers.
“Look at you…” she says, her voice full of amusement and a hint of mockery. “You’re getting hard for me again, aren’t you? What a naughty boy.”
Your heart races, and you can hardly respond. All you can do is gaze at her while your desire skyrockets. Her hand moves slowly and deliberately, teasing every part of you, while her eyes stay locked on yours, as if savoring every second.
“How badly do you want to fuck me?” Nayeon asks, her voice soft but filled with a promise you know she’ll fulfill.
“So much,” you reply, almost breathless, anticipation taking over every inch of your being.
She smirks—that dangerous smile that says, "Exactly what I wanted to hear." Her lips return to yours, but this time there’s more urgency, a hunger building with every passing moment. Her hand moves with more intention now, and your excitement grows at an unimaginable rate.
“I knew you were like this…” she murmurs between kisses, her lips nearly glued to yours. “Such a horny little thing, always wanting more.”
She tightens her grip slightly, making you squirm, the pleasure coursing through you with every squeeze, every word whispered like a secret shared only with you.
“You like this, don’t you?” she asks, already knowing the answer. Her eyes glint as her hand continues its strategic work. “You like me teasing you.”
“Yes,” you manage to say, your voice shaky with desire.
Nayeon pulls back just enough to look into your eyes, her smile blending amusement with seduction.
“Good, because I love teasing you…” she says, then leans down, as if she’s about to do something even more daring. Her lips brush against your neck, lightly biting as her hand slides lower, teasing and gripping, leaving you on the edge of collapse.
“Think you can handle another round?” she asks, her voice now full of challenge.
“There’s only one way to find out,” you respond, trying to keep your composure but knowing you’re completely at her mercy.
“Let’s see then,” she whispers against your skin, and before you know it, she’s moving down, her lips traveling across your body, and you lean back onto the bed. She leaves a trail of kisses and bites along your chest and stomach, making her way lower.
She looks up at you, her eyes dark with desire, and with one final mischievous smile, she leans back up just enough to brush her lips against yours without fully kissing.
“Are you ready to fuck me now?” she asks.
And without a doubt, you are.
Nayeon lies back on the bed, slowly pulling you on top of her until you feel the warmth of her body against yours. The way she molds perfectly beneath you feels like she was made for this. Your hands trace the contours of her breasts, fingers pressing gently against her skin as you slide into her slowly, savoring every second. Your lips meet hers in a slow, intense kiss, tongues moving in sync with the rhythm of your hips—thrusting in and out, deepening with each stroke.
She moans against your mouth, the sound vibrating through your whole body, making you speed up a little while still keeping control. Nayeon breaks the kiss, throwing her head back, eyes closed, and you take the chance to kiss her neck, tasting the salty sheen of sweat. "You like this, don't you?" you whisper in her ear, your voice low and husky as you keep thrusting, feeling how tightly she clenches around you.
"Fuck… yes," she breathes out, her nails now digging into your back, scratching you with a mix of pain and pleasure. "Fuck me harder."
You obey without thinking, picking up the pace, each thrust deeper and more deliberate. Her moans grow louder, almost turning into screams, and it only drives you to go harder. You kiss her again, this time with more urgency, sucking her lower lip between yours as your hips move in a nearly frantic rhythm. The sound of your bodies colliding fills the room, mixed with her broken moans and your own heavy breathing.
"You're so fucking hot," you say between kisses, softly biting along her jawline as you lose yourself in the sensation. "So tight… fuck, Nayeon."
She opens her eyes, looking at you with a mix of challenge and pleasure, her face flushed and sweaty. "Come on, fuck me harder… don’t stop," she pleads, pulling you down for another kiss, this one desperate, as if she needs every touch of yours to survive. You oblige, thrusting harder, while her moans turn into muffled cries as your mouths stay connected.
But then, you decide to switch positions. Science, after all, is about experimentation. You position her at the edge of the bed, Nayeon's legs lifted and spread wide, her pussy on full display—pink and pulsing, inviting. The sight makes you lose control for a moment as you grab her thighs, pulling her closer to you. With one hand, you line up your cock, the tip already slick with excitement, before sliding it inside, feeling the warmth wrap around you completely. The sound of skin slapping against skin echoes through the room, mingling with both your moans.
Nayeon looks up at you, a wild gleam in her eyes, completely different from the girl everyone thinks they know. "You're such a filthy pervert," she growls through gritted teeth, her voice low and dripping with lust. "Fucking your study partner like this, so dirty… Do you see what you've done to me? The little nerd everyone thinks is so innocent, and look where I am now, all spread out for you…"
The sound of her voice, the moans slipping out as you fuck her harder and deeper, only makes you lose more control. "Innocent?" you mutter, your breathing ragged. "You pretend to be the good little student, but with me, you love being a slut, don’t you?"
She lets out a wicked laugh, cut off by a louder moan as you thrust even deeper. "I fucking love it. I love how you make me forget everything… I love being your little slut. I’m all yours, and you can do whatever you want to me."
Your movements grow faster, each thrust pulling louder moans from her. You grip her thighs tight, pulling her into you with each thrust, your eyes fixed on the sight of your cock sliding in and out, completely soaked. "Look at you," you growl, your voice dripping with taunt. "So depraved… No one would guess that the nerdy girl from class is here, begging to be fucked like a whore."
Nayeon lets out a long, drawn-out moan, almost a scream, her body arching beneath you, fingers gripping the sheets tightly. "Yes! Fuck me harder, fuck! I want you to know this is what I love… I love being the little nerd only you can fuck like this. Faster, harder!"
You don't hesitate, your hips slamming against hers in a frenzied pace, the heat and pressure of every thrust consuming you both. Her legs tremble, and you keep pounding with force and precision. "Admit it, Nayeon," you say through gritted teeth, picking up the pace. "You love being my little slut…"
She opens her eyes, staring at you with an almost possessive intensity. "Fuck, yes! I’m your slut. Fuck me more, fuck my pussy like I’m only yours…" You lower yourself onto her, kissing her hard, pouring every bit of your heat into her through the kiss as you keep thrusting, and between desperate, erratic kisses, she gasps, "Take me from behind now. I want you deep inside me, you filthy pervert!”
You pull away from her, and Nayeon promptly positions herself on your messy bed, arching her back, ready. Your approach is almost reverent. You position yourself behind her as you lower your head slowly, your eyes tracing the sight she offers—her wet pussy, swollen with excitement, and just above, her tight little ass, teasing you. She’s so exposed, so vulnerable, yet there’s a confidence in her, like she’s fully aware of what’s coming. And that’s exactly what turns her on.
Before making a move, you let your warm breath brush against her skin, sending shivers through her body. Nayeon lets out a shaky sigh, and her back arches even more. “Don’t make me wait…” she murmurs, a mix of urgency and need in her voice.
With a sly grin, you lower your mouth, and your tongue finally touches the slick entrance of her pussy. The taste is addictive, just as you suspected. You start with soft, long licks, gliding along the length of her lips, savoring every drop of her juices. Nayeon responds immediately, letting out quiet moans, her breathing already quickening.
“You… know exactly what you’re doing, don’t you?” she asks, her voice broken by little gasps.
You chuckle lightly between licks but don’t answer. Your hands firmly grip Nayeon’s ass, keeping her in place as your tongue slides deeper, exploring her sensitive folds. Each time you graze the entrance of her pussy, it clenches, almost begging to be filled, but you refuse to give her everything at once. Instead, you decide to tease her even more.
Sliding your tongue upward, you slowly trace circles around her tight little asshole, making it wet with your saliva. The reaction is instant—Nayeon’s body trembles, and her moans intensify. “Oh my God… keep going… please…” she whispers, her voice a desperate plea.
You alternate between quick, gentle licks, sometimes focusing on her swollen, slick pussy, other times on her sensitive ass, driving her to the brink of losing control. Your tongue dances between the two spots, teasing and pleasing her at the same time. With every new touch, Nayeon’s moans grow louder, more urgent.
“You… you like this, don’t you, you pervert?” she asks with a muffled voice, her hands gripping the bed sheets tightly.
“I love how you taste,” you murmur against her skin.
She lets out a breathy laugh, somewhere between pleasure and disbelief. “Of course you do, I’m… delicious.” And you can’t help but agree. Your tongue continues to explore, licking deep into her pussy and then sliding up to her ass, enjoying the way her body reacts to every touch. Your fingers dig into her ass cheeks harder, leaving red marks on her pale skin.
Nayeon’s moans mix with uncontrollable whispers, each word escaping between ragged breaths. “Please… you’re killing me,” she begs, her voice thick with pleasure, her eyes half-closed in pure lust. “Fuck me… just fuck me already!”
Her plea is desperate, loaded with an almost imperious urgency, and you, with a mischievous smile, position yourself behind her, watching as she pushes her ass higher, her slick pussy begging for more. “You sure you can take it?” you tease, your hands already gripping her hips, but before she can even respond, you pull her back, aligning yourself with precision, the head of your cock brushing against her lips.
“Just do it, fuck,” Nayeon shouts, her tone commanding but dripping with so much desire that you can’t resist. In one swift motion, you thrust into her, and the wet heat of her pussy envelops you completely. Pleasure shoots through you like an electric current, and she arches her back, pushing against you, as if begging you to go deeper, faster.
You start slowly, savoring each thrust, each inch sliding in and out of her, but soon the pace picks up, driven by the uncontrollable moans pouring out of Nayeon. “Faster… harder,” she moans, her voice faltering with each deeper thrust, and you don’t hesitate. Your hands sink into the soft flesh of her hips, holding her steady as you speed up, the thrusts becoming more intense, more brutal.
“Look at you, so prim and proper in class, but here…” you say between thrusts, the sound of skin slapping against skin filling the room. “Here you’re just my little slut. The nerd who loves being fucked like a whore.”
Nayeon moans loudly, her voice breaking into wicked laughter. “Is that what you want, huh? To know the nerd loves being fucked like this, like a depraved little slut… Make me scream, fuck!”
With each slap to her ass, she moans louder, her pale skin turning red with every hit. “Hit me harder,” she begs, her eyes gleaming with pleasure, her voice a mix of desperation and ecstasy. And you oblige, slapping her harder, leaving red marks as you bury yourself deeper inside her.
“You’re an unbelievable slut,” you growl, picking up the pace, each thrust drawing louder and more desperate moans from her. “You pretend to be so good, but look at you now… begging for more.”
“I’m your slut,” she screams, pushing her ass back against you even harder. “Do whatever you want with me… I love being fucked like this, fuck! Make me yours, make me cum.”
You keep going, your thrusts becoming frenzied, your hips moving with an uncontrollable speed and intensity. “Fuck, look at you,” you taunt, feeling your own pleasure building. “You love being treated like this, like a desperate little whore. Scream for me, Nayeon.”
“Yes, yes!” she screams, her voice thick with pleasure, almost hoarse. “Fuck me until I can’t take it anymore, babe!”
Her body trembling as her climax approaches. Suddenly, she arches her back, pushing her ass harder against you, and her voice cracks as she screams, “I’m... going... to cum!”
Her pussy clenches tightly around your cock, pulsing and shaking as she’s overtaken by the orgasm, her whole body shuddering in ecstasy while your relentless thrusts continue. But you don't stop. Her pleasure only drives you further, each thrust pulling everything out of her, Nayeon’s body writhing, each scream feeding your own growing desire.
“Yeah… Fuck me, make me yours,” she keeps begging, even in the middle of her own climax, completely surrendered to the sensation.
You can feel your own orgasm building, heat rising fast, pressure mounting. “I’m going to cum,” you warn, your voice rough and broken, unable to stop as the final thrusts send you both over the edge.
The feeling of her pulsating pussy around your cock pushes you to the brink, and with one last frustrated groan, you pull out. Nayeon gasps for a moment, recovering from her orgasm as she kneels down on the floor, almost like she already knows what to do – and, honestly, she does. Her eyes lock on you, her face slightly flushed, and her mouth already open, waiting eagerly like the diligent student she is.
You grip your cock with one hand, still throbbing, and bring it to her lips. With her mouth wide, Nayeon wraps her lips around you once more, sucking softly with a gentleness that almost belies the fevered desire etched across her face. You pull out of her mouth, stroking yourself quickly, feeling the pressure mounting further.
Nayeon waits, obedient, with her tongue stretched out, her eyes hungry and fixed on you, knowing exactly the effect that has on you. When the moment hits, the first spurt of cum lands on her warm tongue, and Nayeon doesn’t even blink. She takes it all in with pleasure, as you empty yourself into her mouth, your body shuddering, nearly out of control.
She keeps her mouth open the entire time, her tongue coated in your cum, and when you finally finish, she closes her lips, licking them as the taste spreads. With perfect manners, she shows you her full mouth, eyes full of playful mischief, and then, without breaking eye contact, she swallows it all in one gulp, her throat moving slowly.
“See?” she says with a satisfied smile, as if she’d just passed a test with flying colors. “I swallowed it all without spilling a drop.”
But, of course, Nayeon, ever the overachiever, wasn’t finished. Before you can catch your breath, she leans in again, taking your sensitive cock into her mouth, sucking with an intensity that makes you moan involuntarily. The jolt of pleasure is so sharp that you try to pull away, your body trembling, but she holds you firmly, her mouth working at a pace that borders on cruel.
“Fuck!... I can’t take any more!” you try to protest, your voice breaking, but Nayeon just hums in response, pulling you out only long enough to say, “Not yet,” before closing her lips around you again, sucking you until, finally, she decides she’s satisfied.
When she releases you, you’re left gasping, almost paralyzed from the intensity of it all. Nayeon smiles sweetly, victorious, wiping the corner of her mouth with her fingers before saying with calm satisfaction, “Mmm, Now that was delicious.”
—
As you desperately gulp water from your bottle, the silence that follows your impromptu "study session" lingers heavily in the air, a strange return to reality. Nayeon had stood up, her hair still slightly messy and a small smile playing on her lips, before heading to the bathroom. She walked with the confidence of someone who had just solved a particularly tricky math problem.
And now you're here, staring at the bathroom door, listening to the sound of water as she washes her face and cleans her glasses, removing any trace of... well, *you*. Then, because life loves to remind you that nothing is ever simple, your mind starts to wander. What, exactly, just happened? Oh, right. You were working on a project. A project that, incidentally, hasn’t moved an inch forward.
Nayeon steps out of the bathroom, picking up the discarded clothes from the floor, dressing herself piece by piece, taking her time, like you were a couple with decades of shared intimacy. She finishes by adjusting her glasses, almost like she’s putting a crown back on after a victorious battle. She sits back down in her chair, opens the laptop as if nothing had happened, and lets out a satisfied but determined sigh.
“Alright,” she says, as if she hadn’t just left you weak-kneed. “Let’s get back to the project.”
You stare at her, incredulous. As if it were possible to get back to the project after that.
And then you realize you’re still naked. You quickly slip on your boxers and pants.
“To be honest, I don’t think I can focus on my part right now,” you admit, your voice still a bit hoarse.
“Don’t worry. I’ll take care of everything.” She smiles that smile—a mix of mischief and... surprisingly efficient academic prowess. “As long as you keep fucking me, of course. I have to be rewarded somehow.”
You’re speechless for a moment, because, well... you don’t exactly have a counterargument. In fact, it seems like the best deal you’ve ever made in your life.
“Deal,” you say, trying to sound cool, as if you weren’t absolutely thrilled by the arrangement.
Inside, though, you’re jumping for joy.
She adjusts her glasses, watching you for a moment, and you notice that glint in her eyes—a mix of ego, intelligence, and... something else that makes your heart race. Or maybe it’s just the recent sex.
Hard to say.
“But,” she cuts through your thoughts with a serious tone, “no one can know about this. We have to meet in secret. No telling anyone.”
“I swear I won’t tell.”
You wonder how you ended up in this situation, but the answer seems obvious. Who in their right mind would turn down a request like that?
She smiles, satisfied, and turns her attention back to the laptop, as if everything were perfectly resolved.
“Besides,” Nayeon adds, without looking up, “if you need help with any other subject, you can count on me. After all, I think we work well together, don’t we?”
You just nod, but there’s something about her—something between the proud nerd and the bold confidence—that drives you wild. Wild with desire, of course, but also something deeper. And as you watch her, so focused, adjusting her glasses like she’s planning the next phase of a secret mission, you realize that you’re falling for the class nerd.
Yes, she’s hot. Yes, she has a way of disarming you at every turn.
But it’s more than that. It’s as if every time she looks at you with that “know-it-all” air or talks about a complicated academic concept, your mind equates it with something incredibly sexy. And suddenly, your love life has turned into an equation you can’t—and don’t want to—solve.
And, of course, the fact that she’s amazing in bed doesn’t hurt, either.
“Should we meet tomorrow?” you ask casually.
Nayeon doesn’t even look up, just gives a small “mm-hmm” of confirmation, her fingers still typing away.
“Your place again. Same time. Clean up your room... And answer the door in your boxers.”
She glances at you slightly, smiling, and you know exactly what that smile means. And, well, you’re not in any position to complain. In fact, if studying had always been like this, maybe you'd have been the best student in class.
—
As you walk Nayeon to the door, you can’t help but think that maybe you’ve uncovered the true secret to academic success. And who would have thought it was a sexy nerd with glasses who secretly turned out to be a naughty girl who liked sneaking off for sex?
As she leaves, you can’t help but smile when your eyes meet one last time. Not just because of the deal you’ve just made, but because, for the first time in a long while, you’re genuinely excited to "study" with someone. Suddenly, the academic world seems a lot more interesting.
You close the door, but something lingers in the air. Maybe it’s the smell of your sweat—you still haven’t showered, after all. Maybe it’s the trace of Nayeon’s perfume. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s the beginning of one of the most unexpectedly erotic adventures of your life.

summary. momo runs a company by day and ruins nayeon by night.
from jenn. thank you for the sweet message, twin 💋
Momo: you free?
Momo: i’m staring at a quarterly projection and all i can think about is how much i miss your pussy :(
Nayeon stared at her phone, the blue light reflecting in her tired eyes. She was sitting in her home office, surrounded by marketing mock-ups and half-empty coffee cups.
Nayeon: is that the ceo talking or the pervert who hoards my lace?
Nayeon: because the ceo owes me a drink first
Momo: the ceo is tired
Momo: and i don’t owe you a drink, nayeon. i owe you the 3 orgasms you didn’t get to finish last friday because your uber arrived early
Momo: get over here. bring the black set
Nayeon felt a sharp pull in her lower stomach. Momo was always like this when she was stressed—efficient, demanding. There were no ‘How was your day?’ texts. There were no ‘I missed you’ lies. Just the raw need from each other.
Rule #1: No strings
Rule #2: No talking about “what this is”
Rule #3: If one of us starts dating someone seriously, this ends
Rule #4: Never say “i love you”
Nayeon: omw and don’t think i’m doing this because you told me to
Nayeon: i’m doing it because my vibrator is out of batteries and you’re a better substitute
Momo: cute. leave the attitude at the door
Twenty minutes later, the elevator dinked at the penthouse level.
Nayeon didn’t even knock; she had the code. The apartment was dim, the only light coming from the windows overlooking the city.
Momo was sitting at the kitchen island, a glass of dark scotch in one hand and a tablet in the other. She didn’t look up when Nayeon entered. She was still in her work clothes—a crisp blue button-up with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows, exposing the pale lines of her forearms. Her hair was messy, as if she’d been running her hands through it for hours.
“You’re late,” Momo murmured. Nayeon dropped her coat on the sofa, her heels clicking against the tiles. She walked over, standing directly in Momo’s space, the scent of her own perfume mixing with the sharp, expensive aroma of Momo’s.
“Traffic,” Nayeon lied, leaning over the island to look at Momo’s screen. “Still working?”
Momo finally looked up. She reached out, her hand wrapping firmly around Nayeon’s throat—not to choke, but to claim. She pulled her closer until their noses were brushing.
“I’m done working. Now, I’m just looking for a way to sleep.” Momo whispered, her thumb tracing Nayeon’s lower lip.
She slid her hand down Nayeon’s front, her palm against her waist before dipping lower, hooking into the waistband of Nayeon’s jeans.
“Did you wear the black set?” Momo asked, her gaze dropping to Nayeon’s chest.
“Maybe,” Nayeon teased, her breath hitching as Momo’s fingers began to tug.
“Don’t play games with me tonight, Nayeon,” Momo warned, her voice thick with that repressed corporate stress. “I’ve had a ten-hour day of people telling me ‘No’ You’re the only person in this city who’s going to say ‘Yes’ for the next three hours. Am I clear?”
Nayeon didn’t answer with words. She just leaned in and bit Momo’s lower lip, hard enough to leave a mark.
Momo sets her glass of scotch down on the marble counter with a heavy clink, the liquid swirling dangerously near the edge. “The black set,” Momo repeated.
Her hands moved to the button of Nayeon’s jeans, popping it with a flick of her wrist. “I want to see it. I’ve been staring at spreadsheets for nine hours, and the only projection I care about right now is how you look underneath these.”
“So demanding,” Nayeon breathed, her fingers tangling in the messy strands of Momo’s hair, “Is this how you talk to your board of directors?”
“I don’t fuck my board of directors,” Momo muttered, her fingers tugging the denim down Nayeon’s hips with an efficient, ruthless speed. “And they don’t look like this.”
As the jeans hit the floor, Momo’s breath hitched. There it was—the black lace, thin and intricate.
She steps back to look at Nayeon, her eyes darkening with desire as she takes in the sight of her. “Fuck, you look good in this…” She murmurs, her voice low and husky.
Momo reached out and swept the tablet and the scattered reports off the marble kitchen island with a single, ruthless motion. She grabbed Nayeon’s waist and hoisted her up onto the cold stone, the contrast making Nayeon let out a sharp, jagged gasp.
“Momo—the marble is freezing,” Nayeon breathed, her legs automatically hooking around Momo’s waist.
“I’ll warm you up,” Momo rasped, stepping into the space between Nayeon’s thighs, her blue button-up wrinkling as Nayeon’s hands found the hem, tugging it out of her slacks.
Momo was breathing Nayeon in like she was oxygen and the penthouse had been a vacuum. Her hand slid up Nayeon’s thigh, hooking into the edge of the black lace panties and pulling them aside.
“You’re so wet for me, Im,” Momo whispered against her skin, her fingers already finding the center of the mess. “Did you think about this the whole way up the elevator? Or was it earlier, when I told you exactly what I owed you?”
Nayeon threw her head back, her fingers digging into the muscles of Momo’s shoulders. “I thought about... how much I hate your attitude,” she managed to moan, her hips jerking forward as Momo slid two fingers deep inside her.
“Liar,” Momo cooed, her pace suddenly doubling. “You love it.”
Momo started to work her fingers in a slow, torturous curl, hitting that one spot that made Nayeon’s toes curl and her vision white out.
Momo watched her—watched the way Nayeon’s eyes rolled back, the way her perfectly manicured nails ruined the starch in Momo’s expensive shirt.
“Speak to me, Nayeon,” Momo commanded, “Tell me how much better this is than that vibrator you mentioned.”
Nayeon’s back arched so hard. A broken, high-pitched sob escaped her—the kind of sound she’d never make in a marketing meeting. Her hands moved from Momo’s shoulders to her hair, pulling, desperate for friction.
“It’s... f-fuck... Momo, please,” Nayeon stuttered, her heels drumming a frantic rhythm against the cabinets. “It’s better. You’re better. Just... don’t stop.”
“I have no intention of stopping,” Momo whispered, leaning in to lick a stray tear off Nayeon’s cheek. “We still have two more orgasms to account for from Friday. I’m a very thorough CEO, Nayeon. I don’t like leaving debts unpaid.”

001 - the first meeting.
momo picked anxiously at her pants. she wasn't a social girl, that's for sure, so when sana decided to drag her along to her girlfriends party, the poor thing felt more like an outcast and less like a plus one. drinks were being shared and memories made, and the girl was hiding away in a back corner away from everyone, afraid of socialization.
she really couldn't help it. sana's girlfriend, jihyo, was a friend of a friend. a mutual, if you would, but momo didn't really talk to her. no, momo didn't really talk to anyone. she came to the college as a transfer from japan with sana and their friend mina. while sana had immediately clung to jihyo and been accepted into the group with open arms, mina and momo were short of like stray pups. mina got 'adopted' in a sense e by another member of the group, chaeyoung, and then there was just momo.
momo, who's solo cup sat still filled beside her, tempting falling over. most of the group had been in the living room, sana and jihyo in jihyo's room, and momo? momo sat at the balcony. her legs bunched to her chest, her eyes watching the city lights.
when another presence joined her.
she expected mina, knowing the middle of the trio was off lip locked, but was surprised to find a different brunette. nayeon. the eldest of the little friend group, and a 'junior', if you would, in college. momo blinked, and nayeon sighed.
"this is boring, don't you think?"
another slow blink, before momo returned her head to it's earlier position, quietly watching the lights. it was mid November, and the colder air was starting to nip at her arms. nayeon seemed unbothered, probably having drank earlier.
"I mean, why throw a party when you're just gonna sleep with your girlfriend?" the brunette continued, shaking her head and moving closer to the edge of the balcony, slipping her legs through the bars and dangling them.
a sense of unease filled momo at the sight, but she herself took a tiny scoot closer. the smile on nayeon's face made her stomach flip slightly.
"...I want to go home." momo whispered softly. she was always nervous speaking Korean, and knowing nayeon was a native made it even worse.
nayeon, however, gave her a sympathetic smile.
"and where is home?"
the japanese swallowed, eyes falling slightly. "kyoto."
nayeon's brows raise slightly. "yeah? that's cool. do you like it there?"
momo nods softly, expecting the conversation to end there, but it doesn't. nayeon opts to sigh, laying back against the cold balcony floor. "i've been here for almost twenty six years. that's crazy, huh?"
the younger nods without thinking.
nayeon grins.
"you're weird." she chuckles. "what's your name again? mimo?"
momo huffs. "momo."
"close enough." the brunette glances up into the night sky. "well, any way, mimo. I think we're a lot alike. I mean, we both hate our lives, and the people we're surrounded by are absolutely insufferable." nayeon waves a hand.
the look on the youngers face is impassive. but on the inside, she can't help but agree. it was never her idea in the first place to come to Korea of all places for college. Japan had perfectly fine colleges, and momo had even been eyeing a few of them. but sana wanted to go, and mina could never say no to sana for reasons left unaddressed, and now they were here.
slowly, she repeats nayeon's earlier words. "you're weird."
and nayeon grins.
"let's be friends, mimo. don't worry," she waves a finger. "I won't leeave you like these idiots. we can be weird together."
for the first time, momo's heart jumps.
she glances to nayeon's face as the moonlight hits it and there's almost something pretty about the way the Korean looks up at her, as if she were a closed book only allowing momo to read certain pages. momo realized in that moment, she wanted to read all of her. her heart raced.
and so, she nodded.
"alright."
...
maybe momo was in over her head.
nayeon was a wild ride. between the partying and the drinking, stumbling back into momo's arms at the end of the night littered in bites and kisses from partners and partners of partners - momo decided being her friend would have to be a full time job at this point.
they'd roomed together by the end of first semester.
nayeon was dependent on momo on the smallest things. even if they didn't have the same major, or even the same classes, she'd whine and beg the girl to help her. and momo would do it. nayeon was her friend after all.
"god, this sucks," the eldest had whined, entering her room one day. "i'm so bored."
momo raises a brow. "bored? don't you have assignments to do?"
nayeon rolls her eyes, flopping down on momo's bed and glancing around her room. "you need to decorate. it's like...white noise in here. how can you look around at all of this and not be bored?"
the youngers lips purse. "I like my room."
"hm," nayeon shrugs, patting the bed beside her. "come lay with me baby, take a break from your work."
right, there was that too. nayeon's overtly affectionate behavior. it didn't matter time nor place, if she was in the radius of momo, she was dropping kisses here and there, or caressing the younger's waist, saying those damn pet names - or something. typically, momo didn't mind it. but when that stupid flip in her stomach was accompanied by it, she might have. just a bit.
clearing her throat, the younger stood and approached, settling into her own bed as nayeon's arms slid lazily around the younger, a kiss pressing to the crown of momo's head. momo shuffled, slowly sliding closer and pressing her head to nayeon's chest.
"...sana messaged me earlier."
"mm."
"she was wondering if we could hangout tomorrow." momo glances up at nayeon, who's hand drops on her waist, rubbing slowly.
"and what did you tell her?"
"i-" momo's breath hitched lightly when the hand traveled up her shirt, drifting under and teasing the hem of her bra. touchy. always so damn touchy. "...I said i'd see."
"hm," nayeon leaned again, pressing slow kisses across mmomo's face and jaw. "you don't need to hangout with her tomorrow, i'll be home. okay?"
and with that the conversation was over. momo melted into nayeon's touch, allowing her body to fall plush and compliant against nayeon's. the older mused at this, hands exploring as she whispered again into the intimately charged air.
"..'m so happy you're here with me, momo. I'm all you need, alright?"
for the second time, momo's heart raced.
"...okay, nay."
"good."
002 - the decline
momo's hands held onto the simple solo cup, pressing it to her chest as she watched nayeon dance around through busy bodies - a grin on her face. she was at home, momo knew that, yet still she longed to be apart of that home - even if she knew it wasn't for her. a sigh slipped from her lips, and a presence joined her side.
"hey, havent seen you in a bit."
her eyes lifted, softening. mina. her long black hair had been tugged back into a simple half up/half down style, showing off her pale neck. she was as beautiful as always.
momo gave a tiny smile. "I've been busy with studying and helping nay."
mina raises a brow, glancing over at the girl dancing provocatively with a different person. "...helping, huh?" she raises her cup, water instead of alcohol because she frequently embarrassed herself when drunk, and took a small sip, murmuring into the cup. "so what exactly are the two of you?"
the elder paused. it was... hard to say for certain. at some points, she thought nayeon was her girlfriend. right? I mean, she was possessive over her and wanted all her attention.
and then she would turn around and dance with others.
appearing happier.
noting her silence, mina speaks. "do you like her?"
"I like her...presence." which was the truth. nayeon felt like a warm hug after a cold winters night. her voice, not her loud one she used for socialization, but the softer one reserved for momo, felt like an intimate kiss between two lovers. so yes, her presence made momo's heart thump, made it flutter to life with the idea of likeness. but. there was always moments like this.
"her behavior..not so much?" mina offered.
momo nodded. "yeah." she pursed her lips and sighed through her nose. "how are you and chae?"
a bashful smile grew on the younger, making the brunette nudge her playfully. mina chuckled. "she's great, I mean- she's..." she sighs. "i'm glad we came to Korea."
momo pauses, as mina looks off toward chaeyoung.
despite having nayeon and...whatever this was, was she truly grateful to be in Korea?
no, she didn't think so.
"...i'll be back," momo murmured, nodding to mina before disappearing into the thicket of bodies. she grunted, making her way to the familiar balcony. empty, as it always was.
the air was warmer now, it being the middle or so of march, and momo slipped into the same position she had been in that night, eyeing the city line with a heavy gaze. she'd eye the bars but not attempt to slid her legs through the way nayeon had, nor would she lay to look at the stars. simply, she'd watch the lights. it was the only thing that reminded her of home.
of Kyoto.
not of nayeon, surprisingly.
would she truly ever figure her out?
probably not.
moments bled into minutes, and an entire hour passed before someone stumbled out.
"I knew I'd find you here." nayeon's body collapsed over the rail, her hand running through her long hair as she groaned. "fuck..my head."
momo doesn't tear her eyes away as she mumbles. "I told you not to drink."
"and I told you it wouldn't matter," the older grunts as she slips to her butt, sticking her feet out and laying on her back. "...deja vu much."
momo glances finally at her.
she mimicks the night they met almost perfectly, slightly dazed from drinking, where as momo was sober. eyes lit up by the stars. brown hair sprawled out like a halo. for a moment, a rush of nostalgia hits momo square in the chest. she's perfect like this.
the olders eyes glanced briefly over, holding her gaze as she mumbles. "what?"
"...what are we?"
nayeon sucks in a breath and sighs it out as if momo had just asked the hardest question known to all of mankind. and to nayeon, maybe it is.
"...people?"
"no, I mean-"
"I know what you mean, momo." nayeon shakes her head. "I'm not in the headspace to talk about it, okay? let's just focus on...existing. or whatever."
momo's heart does it's usual twist. as on late, nayeon had been difficult.
but she nods, looking back to the skyline.
"I miss my home."
"i'm right here, mimo."
the younger rolls her eyes. "thought I told you I hated that name?'
"thought i told you I don't care." nayeon smiles, and momo smiles too. because she did tell nayeon that, and they did joke about it, and nayeon didn't listen. at the time it was funny - mimo - it was as unserious as a joke could be.
momo just didn't realize her feelings would be a constant thing ignored by nayeon.
something made out to be a joke.
her hand twitches, and she grabs her cup, downing it in one go.
nayeon whistles.
...
momo's leg beat up and down anxiously inside of the restaurant.
the reservation had been a week in advance, and she'd told nayeon the time to arrive again and again. and now here they were. well, here she was at least. nayeon was late. doing what? she didn't know, especially because they lived together, but nayeon had left a bit ago to run some errands before their date. momo sat now, alone, after twenty or so minutes past.
she'd dismissed waiter after waiter, awkwardly downing glass after glass of water. and twenty minutes passed into an hour before finally, nayeon collapsed into the seat in front of her. "sorry, I got busy."
momo softened. "ah. um," she glanced over nayeon. "you..where were you?"
nayeon reaches up, fixing her hair. "I said I was busy."
the conversation is over after that and momo quietly looks down at her menu with a sigh. silence stretches between them, and momo doesn't try to fill it. instead, she flips through the menu, softly murmuring. "..what um, what are you gonna get?"
nayeon sighs, shrugging. "my usual."
momo hums. six months of dating, and this is what she gets.
her eyes traced the outer edges of the menu, hesitating to look up. when she does, nayeon isn't even looking at her, but rather at her phone. she swallows. "...could you please put that away?"
nayeon looks up, and for the briefest of moments, she softens. she tucks her phone away, crossing her arms.
"..what's up with you?" momo whispers.
nayeon frowns. "what do you mean?"
"I mean- you're...acting weird, and stuff." the younger sets her menu down softly, whispering. "like...avoidant. and you're late and stuff, on your phone-"
"what, I can't answer stuff?" nayeon scoffs, picking at her jeans. "can you just- calm down."
momo winces, looking down. "...sorry."
the older sighs. "...just drop it, yeah?"
"..yeah."
this wasn't right, momo wasn't used to it. for once, her heart didn't race, it didn't thump, it didn't flutter with feelings.
it sunk.
a low, horrible sick feeling in her gut.
painful. weak. dizzying.
as she glanced briefly at nayeon, it only became worse. a wave of nausea hit her square in the chest, and she swallowed thickly.
something felt...off.
and momo hated it.
003 - the last words
the breakup was inevitable.
momo saw it coming, nayeon anticipated it - hell, everyone did.
slams of the apartment door. argument after argument. and nayeon in public? cold, silent, different. not herself. not nayeon. not momo's at least.
it was a night the same as the one they'd met. cold. the house was beyond freezing and momo had waited up in the living room. listening for the telltale sign of nayeon's return. the keypad rang through the silence, startling their dogs slightly. the door pushed open and a sigh was heard as it shut. shoes were slipped off, jackets discarded, and the - nayeon walked around the corner.
she stopped when she saw momo.
silence, for a few moments. then?
"you're still up?"
momo swallowed thickly, nodding as nayeon walked to the kitchenette, grabbing stuff awkwardly. she smelled of alcohol and something sweet and distinctly not nayeon. momo's heart ached. it ached so bad, but all she could do was whisper.
"where've you been?"
nayeon shrugged. "out."
and the simple word welled anger in the youngers chest. she stood weakly, sputtering. "w-with..?"
the elder huffed. "friends?"
"really? because i- I checked with our friends-"
"I have other friends."
"other friends? or other girls?" nayeon turned as if she had been slapped, but the sight before her was just another cold hit. momo, shoulders slightly shaking, eyes widened in confusion as if she still didn't fully understand the situation at hand. her eyes were glossy from the beginnings of tears.
nayeon swallowed, stunned.
but - her shoulders slowly rolled back, a look of impassiveness on her face. "...does it matter?"
momo winces, brows furrowing. "you're supposed to be my girlfriend-"
"i'm not." nayeon snapped. "we're just - we were just helping each other, okay? I'm not anything to you."
momo sucks in a breath.
months.
months of dedicating herself or nayeon.
of not even thinking of other girls. or pursuing other people.
"...how can you say that?"
"how can you say we were together?' nayeon shakes her head, indifferent. "we're not. we never were. and if you thought we were then - then I don't know what to tell you. we aren't together. we never, ever have been. do you understand?"
momo swallowed.
no. she felt like the fucing ground was caving in beneath her. no she didn't understand. hurt and anger swelled, but she couldn't say anything. her head was moving a mile a minute between Japanese and Korean and damnit - for once she dreaded not being fluent. not knowing the difference - the words to say.
her heart sunk.
nayeon sighed, turning and leaving, and momo fell to her knees, pressing her hands to her face.
months. gone in the blink of an eye.
...
the weeks of agony would go by slowly.
summer break.
transitioning out of the apartment and into her own. working during the summer. missing birthdays, missing friends. missing nayeon. but all calls went to voicemail, and all messages were left on read. momo became a ghost in her life. a memory.
and then the first day back. walking through familiar halls and hearing a loud squeal behind her, turning and being jumped on by sana.
"how could you!!!!!" the brunette would whine and whine as mina joined, grinning ear to ear. "no calls! no texts! we thought you went back to Kyoto!!!!!!!!"
momo's hand tentatively rested on sana's back. "i'm sorry, i've been busy.."
a loud whine tears from the brunette again.
mina chirps. "we missed you. sana and I kept trying to call you.."
the eldest of the trio sighs. "I mainly kept it turned off. after how everything ended last year..i- didn't want the drama. you know?" she chose to leave out the messaging and the texts, instead slowly whispered, toying with her hands. "I was kinda working nonstop."
sana pulled back, humming with a soft sniffle. "w-well you could've talked to us. I would've made time for you."
time.
momo softens.
she never had time for the girls when she was with nayeon. it was always nayeon this and nayeon that, never having time for hangouts or something besides the brief parties at jihyo's. and honestly? momo missed it. she'd put herself in the shoes of nayeon for so long, acted as her shadow, that things she used to love became so foreign. not this year, she swore.
she'd get it back.
that piece of home that had been missing for so long.
"lets hangout this weekend then." spoke the older.
sana grinned from ear to ear, and mina smiled.
"okay!!!!!!!!!!" "sounds good."
and momo's heart finally, raced again.
she'd be back.
everything would be okay.
...
the balcony became a friend.
a month of nothing but friends and school and work. and momo felt happy. her legs slipping through the bars. her eyes not the skyline. the way the sun dipped behind the buildings. her solo cup was no where in sight, but it didn't matter. she didn't need it.
she'd spent a year trying to understand nayeon.
trying to be in her shoes.
when she should have focus on herself.
as she scans up to the growing night sky, the door opens.
"...hey, mimo."
her heart seizes.
she turns.
nayeon's hair is lighter, but her face is the same. she watches momo softly, music thumping in the background. no cup in sight either. she looks as if she'd just arrived.
momo couldn't find the words, as nayeon gently toyed with the doorknob. her face. her damn, beautiful face.
and the look.
"...you look well." momo suddenly finds her voice.
nayeon's face doesn't change. she glances away, toward the party, and then back at momo, who shifts to the side for room. she seems to think - to..contemplate.
but?
she shakes her head, turning and leaving.
momo sighs through her lips, looking back out.
she doesn't cry.
her heart doesn't sink.
she looks up to the stars and falls onto her back, a tiny smile on her face.
so nayeon wanted to approach the situation indifferently?
part of her wanted to scream at the idea, and part of her wanted to cry and cry. but she wouldn't. she tried, and nayeon didn't, or maybe to the older she did. momo didn't know.
You make a sour expression as you eat dinner. Nayeon, sitting across you, was looking away bitterly as well. The two of you were still not talking to each other. You keep staring at your food, digging at it and not eating much. Meanwhile Nayeon wasn’t eating either, glancing at you sourly constantly. It was far from a usual evening that you and Nayeon are used to. After dinner you get up and sit on the sofa, flipping through some shows, skipping past the one you and Nayeon watch everyday while or after eating just as she walks in causing a flash of pain and annoyance to flicker over her face before she scowls and storms off to the bedroom.
You sigh and continue flipping through shows, nothing really catching your attention as your thoughts are focused on wondering if Nayeon went to bed straight away or if she’s watching something on her laptop instead. Your thoughts wander back to her pouty angry looks at dinner. It made you feel so guilty to still be fighting with her but at the same time, you had felt your heart skip a beat because in your eyes she still looked so beautiful…adorable. Truth be told in your heart, you were more than ready to go, make up and apologize but your pride was holding you back which kinda annoyed you but you also weren’t willing to fight it. You wonder if she feels the same way, hopefully she does, you already miss holding her so much even though it’s barely been a few hours. You dread the possibility that she’s still seriously upset. You keep switching between scrolling through your phone mindlessly to going through some more shows aimlessly, passing by the time enough so it makes it seem like you watched an episode of a show. Even though you were ready to make up, you still preferred that she be the first to try and make up. You silently curse yourself as you stand outside the bedroom, hesitant to enter. Gods get a grip of yourself, you scold yourself as you take a deep breath. It wasn’t helping. Now that you had cooled off and had to face her, you felt really self-conscious. Was she still mad at you? Did she feel really hurt? Did she miss you as much as you missed her? Did she still love you the same? All these questions haunting you. You take another deep breath. You can see the main light is off and only her night lamp is on. Maybe she already went to sleep. On one hand that means you can avoid your guilt and shame and head to bed easily…maybe even put an arm around her for a few moments but it also means she really was upset if by nothing but the fact that you skipped past the show you both watch together. Fuck it, you tell yourself. You take another deep breath and open the door, bracing yourself to face the worst.
You enter to find Nayeon leaning against the bed headrest, hugging a pillow, your pillow. Upon seeing you enter the bedroom, she hurriedly puts the pillow away and picks up the book by her side, pretending to have been reading it the whole time.
As you walk up to your side of the bed, you don’t notice how she didn’t look at the book once since she picked it up again. She was looking at you longingly…until she realized how she must have looked and forced herself to make her expression angrier but it only resulted it in making it pouty….
You feel your heart race as you sit down on the bed. You reach out to turn your nightlight off to signal you were about to go to sleep but before you can, Nayeon reaches out and shuts hers off first making it seem like it was her intention to go to bed first. You turn your light off and shoot her a dirty look to which she rolls eyes. You feel tense as you prepare to lie down, taking a couple breaths to calm yourself first. When you finally lay down and turn towards her, you find her scooting close towards you as well though she avoids looking at you, keeping her expression like she’s annoyed and only doing it as a favor to you.
You huff and put your arms around her pulling close and she puts her arms around you too, huffing and sighing dramatically as well. Neither of you aware that both of you are trying their hardest to not let the other feel their heart with how fast both your hearts were racing.
You feel her looking at you expectantly through her peripherals and you roll your eyes. It was a thing between the two of you. That while you both cuddle and talk about your day, the person who kisses the other’s forehead signals that they are sleepy but the other person can keep talking since they want to fall asleep listening to their voice. Mostly it was you kissing her forehead since she was more chatty and also had more things to talk about throughout her day.
And then all of a sudden you felt something…pettiness…playful pettiness or brattiness you couldn’t tell. Regardless, you brushed her hair from her forehead and prepared to kiss her only to close off your lips entirely and touch her forehead for a second and pulled back which to her felt like you might as well have thrown a stone at her. You were trying to keep your expression between looking inconvenienced to neutral but in truth you were trying hard not to smile. Nayeon on the hand looked up at you in disbelief before huffing and turning away so instead of cuddling, you both are now spooning.
Now that she wasn’t able to see you, you let out a tiny smile, readjusting your positions so her hair isn’t in your face. But after a moment her hair gets in your face again…and then again after another minute and that’s when you realize, she’s doing it on purpose! Holding an annoyed sigh in, you keep trying to readjust but it’s a lost battle. You can basically sense her doing that particular smile she does when she annoys you and it nearly makes you chuckle. You take a deep breath and sit up slightly and turn her towards you, trying not to look annoyed or smile, doing your best to keep a serious expression as you can’t let her ‘win’, giving her a look as if to say you want to sleep and don’t to play games. For the barest of moments it almost looks like she felt hurt from your look but it disappears immediately as you nearly smile and now she’s trying not to smile and giggle as well.
Turning back towards you, you both are cuddling again, both of you trying not to smile as you both keep your eyes closed and pretend to try to fall asleep. You think you are succeeding until you realize how quickly you were breathing and slow yourself down. You feel Nayeon take short peaceful breaths and you feel relief all over you. She wasn’t upset at you anymore. You stay still for a few more moments wanting to make sure she’s really asleep before opening your eyes and looking at her. You feel butterflies in your stomach as you see her pretty face and you can’t help but break into a smile. Brushing a strand of hair away from her face, you softly kiss her forehead and close your eyes. A few moments later, you feel her stir, you keep your eyes closed and then you feel her kiss your cheek lovingly. She was awake???? You open your eyes immediately to see her looking back at you happily before she presses herself into you even more and you hold her tighter….
“i heard they hate each other,” the blond haired girl tells the red haired one that's sitting right next to her with a drink in her hand.
“really?” she asks her friend, looking in front of her, just a few metres away (they got front row tickets for a reason).
“why do they? what happened?”
her friend doesn't answer her question, watching the fight in silence.
momo's fist hits your face quickly, you're not able to react, falling to the floor because of the hard punch.
the world in front of your eyes is blurry and dizzy, are you going to pass out?
you don't know if the ringing comes from your head or the “referee” (which actually is just some random guy) that blew the whistle, signalizing that the game is over, announcing the winner -
hirai momo.
suddenly everything is black, and when you open your eyes again, you realize that you're backstage, laying on an old couch.
your head hurts as you sit up, your finger traces along your lips and feels multiple cuts on it.
“need vaseline?” a voice asks you, and when you look up, you see her.
hirai momo.
“im good” you answer. standing up and walking to your locker to get your stuff and leave this place as quickly as possible.
she doesn't reply to your cold answer or your pissed off tone, instead she walks up to her girlfriend (that's what you think she is, but knowing momo it could be some talking stage or a situationship that hasn't fully made it to the relationship stage) and kisses her, both of them giggling like stupid idiots.
just hearing it drives you crazy, you ask yourself if she's doing it on purpose, if she wants you to feel like this.
you grip the metal door of the locker tightly, slamming it shut and walking out the back door to your motorcycle.
it's raining and cold, your jacket too thin and your emotions overwhelmed.
you don't know if it's because of the fight you lost, or if it's because of momo's behavior.
“mad that you lost?” she teases behind your back.
you turn around, looking at her as her beautiful black hair gets soaked in the rain.
you don't know what to reply, anger taking over your body.
you walk up to her, punching her in the face as she falls against the wall behind her and holds her nose in pain.
for a quick second your mouth opens to say something, your brain thinking about apologizing - for saying something that isn't an insult, something that comes deeply from your heart.
but you stop yourself, instead you close your mouth and don't look at her in her stupidly pretty eyes.
you get on top of the seat and drive away without looking back to momo, leaving her alone.
-
“rumors are spreading about you two” the red haired, older girl tells you as she watches you tie the boxing tape around your fingers and hands.
“what do you mean?” you ask her, still focused on your hands.
“i mean that people think you guys have some kind of back story”
“people think you hate each other y/n”
you look up to her, her gaze meeting yours.
“well seems like the rumors are right, jihyo” you reply, standing up and walking to the punching bag so you can train for the next fight.
jihyo doesn't leave you, she walks next to you and watches how you start hitting the bag strongly.
“you don't hate her” she says, making you stop because of her statement.
“what do you know about what i feel for her?” you spit back, slightly pissed off, but you try to act like you're completely normal as you start punching the bag again.
“it's in your eyes when you two fight”
“you can't hate her, even if you want to.” she replies.
you punch the bag in front of you with enough force that it almost hits jihyo’s face, scaring her.
she's quiet, looking at you in silence.
“i'll be back” you say, walking out of the building so you can be alone.
the bench is made out of old, almost broken wood, but still comfortable enough to sit on.
you pull out a cigarette and your lighter, lighting the other end as you take a drag of it, exhaling it slowly out of your nose.
the air is cold, again. just like that night when you punched momo.
you stare down on the floor.
is it really that obvious?
stupid rumors, spreading like they did in high school.
‘they hate each other’
rumors, or the truth?
‘it's in your eyes’
the truth?
instead of continuing to smoke and finishing your cigarette, you put it out on the bench and walk back inside.
-
“why am i fighting against her again?” you ask jihyo, your head in your hand as you rub your forehead.
“she requested it”
what?
“she paid for it even”
“paid for it?” you look up to her as she's standing in front of you.
she just nods.
you don't say anything, instead, you just walk to the ring, everyone already waiting.
including momo.
the referee starts the match, giving you two space so you can fight.
you don't wait for her to make the first move and run right up to her to hit her in her stomach, then in her face.
she's able to block the punch that was supposed to hit her face, pushing you away and hitting your shoulder as you fall against the edge of the ring.
you both look at each other, people from outside cheering on either her or you.
for a moment it felt like those cheers and loud noises were blocked and silenced.
for a moment it was only you and her.
you're too slow.
she uses your distraction and hits you in your stomach, pretty hard.
you fall to your knees (you think you can even hear jihyo getting too much into it as she's screaming for you to get up as if she had set a bet on you to win) and momo as well as the referee wait for you to get up.
you know you have it in yourself. you could get up. you could continue to fight, and maybe even win it. you're not that weak.
but you can't, looking to jihyo and then up to momo, then lastly to the referee who’s waiting for a reaction from you.
you shake your head.
and just like last time, he announces momo as the winner.
you walk out teary eyed.
and when you're out, again, it's cold - again.
but your moment of silence is interrupted, again.
what is it with her and the number three?
in the same second she closes the door behind herself, you run up to her and push her against it, hands on her neck.
"i should've killed you in there”
“but you didn't”
you look in her eyes, then at your hands that are gripping her tightly.
you would probably have made a stupid joke and asked her if she's into it months ago.
you let go, letting her breath as you walk away and sit on top of the cold stones (which everyone usually used for their smoke breaks).
momo watches you and decides to sit next to you.
not too close, not too far away.
she hands you your lighter.
“you forgot it inside” is the only thing she says.
you just take it, without thanking her as you look down at the lighter.
“you know,” you start speaking, voice so quiet it's almost impossible to hear. the tone as if you'd be afraid anyone could hear (which is also impossible).
“i thought i would burn this city down if i saw you with anybody else,” you play around with your lighter, realizing that it's empty and doesn't work anymore.
“but when i saw you holding her hand..”
“i couldn't even light a match”
she looks at you, you can feel it. but you're too scared to look her in the eyes.
“they say we hate each other”
“you're losing on purpose against me, aren't you?” she breaks her silence.
you look at her for the first time without touching her, without insulting her or hurting her.
you sigh a little.
“im too weak”
“mentally, not physically” you reply.
momo doesn't know if that answers her question.
so instead of speaking again, she just quietly sits next to you.
she knows one of them has to leave this place at some time, but she'd rather not think about it.
A/N: Does this make complete sense? Not exactly
A/N2: Also, thanks to my illusion bois for helping me proofread/helping me do this(my bad @alcoholfreenayeon, ms spout is not gonna do well in this fic)
"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead. She saw your eyes flutter open, stretching your arms groggily.
“You. It’s always you.” You mumble with a sheepish smile, Nayeon playfully giggling before flicking you on the forehead.
“Flirt.” Nayeon said with a blush, yelping as you suddenly wrapped your arms around her waist, pulling her back onto the bed with you.
After a short while of tussling, Nayeon finally got up.
“Alright get up, We can’t spend the whole of our anniversary in bed.” Nayeon goes to her dresser, tying her hair up into a ponytail before reaching around her drawers.
“Why not, I’d think we’d enjoy that very much.” You say, earning you a shirt to the face.
“I will spray you with the hose.” Nayeon chides, but still unable to hide her smile in the mirror.
“Besides, I’ve made plans for our 2nd anniversary seeing as we’re both on leave.” Nayeon said as she began her makeup routine.
“Oh, do tell.” You say, wrapping your arms around her midriff, throwing her into a back hug as you rested your chin on her shoulder.
“No spoilers, but I guarantee you’re in for a surprise.” Nayeon said, leaning her head toward yours.
“I swear, if we’re going to that one restaurant where I accidentally ordered the most spicy instead of the least and didn’t want to return it, I’-” You began, but you were quickly stopped by a finger to the lip.
“No need for swearing, my dear, and we’re having dinner there.” Nayeon said, sticking her tongue out as you rolled your eyes.
“Well good luck then, you’ll be eating dinner with someone wearing a penguin mask.” You retorted, causing Nayeon to scrunch her nose in confusion.
“What penguin mask? Oh, you mea- I swear to god you’ve been spending too much time with Mina.” Nayeon replied, a look of mock horror as you waved the penguin mask in front of Nayeon.
“If I see that mask in our car later, I’m locking you out.” Nayeon retorts, causing you to make a theatrical gesture of placing the mask on, eliciting a face palm from Nayeon.
“I don’t know why I married you sometimes.” Nayeon playfully jabbed.
“Because you love me.” You say, before making a cacophony of weird penguin noises.
“You’re right, because you’re my weirdo.”
The day went by in a breeze, almost a whirlwind of nostalgia and fun to be had. The date began with a trip to the beach, where you had first met Nayeon, who, despite her fear of the sea, was peer pressured into going for a swim with Jihyo and Sana, and promptly ran away from the sea, where she had fallen for you, both metaphorically and physically. Your back was bruised for a week, but on the bright side, you got a bruised back and her number, so you called it a win and moved on.
The day continued with a bicycle ride through a nearby park followed by a picnic, the park where the two of you had your first date. Nayeon even went all out to recreate the exact date, the same picnic mat, the same burritos you had(that she made herself. She insists it's not as good, you know for a fact that it's amazing), everything short of time travelling and bringing you back to the exact day of your first date.
After that picnic lunch, the final destination before dinner was a recreation centre, where the two of you engaged in sports like pool, darts, axe throwing, all of which she had lost to you. (She insists she was being chivalrous, you’re on the fence about that)
“What a day.” You say with a tired but still jovial tone.
“Day’s not over bub.” Nayeon says as she starts the car. As the car coasted down the highway, the two of you belting whatever songs were being played on the radio. Just as the two of you were singing out, you felt a strong jerk forward, the car spinning rapidly as you crashed into the road barrier.
The events that soon came next were hazy, your ears ringing and feeling blood trickle down your forehead. You felt arms wrap around you, dragging you out of the car.
“I’ve got you baby.” Was the little you could hear as you saw Nayeon above you, in much worse shape than you were, but she persevered as she dragged you out of the car wreckage, an unholy meld of your black sedan and the other’s blue van, collapsing just as she pulled you out to safety.
The next hours were a whirlwind of chaos, as the ambulance arrived, whisking both you and Nayeon to the hospital. After some scans and treatments, the doctor diagnosed that your injuries were rather minimal, and that you would just need to stay for a short while for monitoring.
“That’s good to hear Doc. How’s Nayeon? The lady I came in with.” You asked.
“Oh, I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this, but it’s not looking good. Her side of the car hit the barrier so she bore the brunt of the impact. She has pretty severe internal injuries, and the doctors are planning a surgery now.
“Where is she?” You quickly asked, trying to get up from your bed, but your body still weak from the crash, you barely got one foot on the ground before you almost collapsed.
“You can’t leave yet, your body is still weak.”
“Doc, I need to see her, please.” You plead, as the doctor hesitated for a moment, before agreeing, bringing you a wheelchair.
As you were wheeled to Nayeon’s ward, you began to hear rapid beeping from Nayeon’s ward. That couldn’t be good.
A whole horde of doctors and nurses quickly swarmed into the room, though you were forced to stay out of the room.
It was all going to be okay, you kept repeating to yourself, but as time passed, you felt hope slipping away, especially as you peered into the ward, seeing Nayeon’s lifeless body being shocked, an attempt to kickstart her heart.
“Time of Death, 2208.” You heard the doctor say, and you felt your world crash around you.
You couldn’t speak. You couldn’t even think. As you sat in the wheelchair, your mind flashed back to the last time you had seen her. When she had pulled you out of the wreckage. The doctor said she had suffered much worse injuries than you did. But…she still saved you, she still pushed herself to the limit, exerted herself to make sure you weren’t in danger. Could that exertion have killed her?
“Are you related to the patient?” The doctor asked as she walked out of Nayeon’s ward
“She is…was my wife.” Was all you could say before being overwhelmed by a tidal wave of emotions.
“Oh, I’m really sorry for your loss. She fought hard, but during the crash, she suffered numerous internal injuries. She suffered an injury to the chest during the injury that caused damage to her heart. We were able to stabilise her for a short while, but eventually her heart gave up. I’m really sorry for your loss.” The doctor said, bowing slightly before walking away.
“You can see her if you want?” The doctor who wheeled you here asked.
“It was my fault.” You could only whisper. If it was Nayeon’s heart that gave out, then her saving you was most likely what killed her.
Looking out of the window with tears in your eyes, you noticed a shooting star. Or was it falling. Like Nayeon, a fallen angel, a fallen star, the love of your life. Oh, what you would give up to save her.
At that moment, the star froze in the sky. Everything froze, the beeping in the monitors stopped, the chatter of the nurses stopped.
You looked around in confusion, what in the world was happening? Through the frozen bodies, a child walked through the crowd of bodies, a small packet of chips in hand.
“Hey kid, do you know what’s going on?” You ask, realising that the only ones not frozen were you and the kid.
“Watch who you’re calling kid, I’m like a thousand years old!” The kid snorted.
“What?” You asked in confusion. This all felt like a fever dream. What was this kid talking about?
“Duh, you wished upon a shooting star, all that nonsense, now here I am. You get one wish. Make it quick, these things have validation periods and they’re a bitch if you stall.” You look at the child in confusion, but the possibilities swarm your mind. Could you bring back Nayeon from the dead?
“I can’t bring her back. Not in any way that you’d want anyways.” The child says, seemingly having read your mind.
“Can I go back in time to save her then? Let me wake up this morning again, and let me sleep to go back again.” You ask the child, and the child looks at you with a little concern.
“Are you sure you want to make this wish. Go back to this morning, and loop yourself. I’m not permitted to give you ideas for other wishes, but I hope you think through this clearly.”
“I’m sure.” You say resolutely. Anything for Nayeon.
“Alright, if you insist. What was the first thing you did or said today?” The child asked, a piece of paper appearing in his hand.
“I said to Nayeon, “You, it’s always you.”” You tell the child, looking at him in confusion.
“Alright, listen to me carefully. Once the loop begins, you will be looped to this morning, but you won’t have control over anything until your first action. Thankfully, it was this morning so you have the whole day to do what you need. Before time can continue and you continue on your looped day, you need to say the first thing you said. Only then will the day continue. But until you do, you’ll be trapped in that moment.” The kid explains to which you nod
“Wait, how-” You were about to ask, but with a snap of a finger, you woke up in bed once again
And the Cycle begins
Day 2
"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead.
You wanted to throw Nayeon into a hug, but you found yourself locked in place. After a short struggle, you remembered what the kid had said.
“You. It’s always you.” You say to Nayeon, who playfully giggles before flicking you on the forehead.
Worried, you quickly pull her into a hug.
“You’re okay. You’re okay.” You mutter under your breath.
Hearing this, Nayeon’s playful demeanour disappeared in a second, quickly sitting on the bed next to you, holding both your hands in hers.
“Are you okay? Did you have a nightmare?” Nayeon asked, before putting her hand to your cheek, gently caressing it in an attempt to calm you down.
“Yeh, a nightmare. Something like that.” You muttered under your breath.
“Well, whatever that nightmare was, you don’t need to worry, I’m here, I’ll always be here alright?” Nayeon whispered, her hand patting your back.
She was right. You were going to make this alright.
Taking a deep breath, you pull Nayeon toward you, leaving a long kiss on her forehead.
“Thank you, my love.” You say, collecting your thoughts. You had to act normal. You did not know what little errant act of yours would alter the day in unforeseen ways, and you weren’t sure if that alteration would be better or worse. Besides, once you saved Nayeon, you didn’t want this day to be one where she had all her plans for your second anniversary ruined. You’d just save her before the car crash.
“Everything okay now?” Nayeon asked worriedly.
“Of course, let’s go get dressed, we have a long day ahead. I assume you have plans for the day?” You asked, causing Nayeon to smile in excitement, almost jumping for joy on the bed.
“Definitely, We can’t spend the whole of our anniversary in bed.” Nayeon goes to her dresser, tying her hair up into a ponytail before reaching around her drawers.
“Why not, I’d think we’d enjoy that very much.” You say, earning you a shirt to the face.
Good, everything was going as it was.
The day proceeded as expected, the beach, the park, the recreation centre, everything. Then, came the moment where everything had gone wrong.
“Hey Babe, I’ll drive. Just key in the location.” You say as the two of you left the recreation centre.
“So you can uncover my final surprise? Nuh uh.” Nayeon said, sticking her tongue out, causing you to giggle.
“I know it’s THAT restaurant.” You say, causing Nayeon to pout.
“Aish, did Jihyo tell you?” She asked, to which you shrugged.
“Ugh, fine.” Nayeon said, tossing you the keys as you got in the car.
As you drove down the highway, you and Nayeon sang the songs that came up on the Radio.
But as you were driving, an all too familiar song popped up. The song you were waiting for. As soon as you heard that song, you began to nervously glance in the mirrors, trying to spot the van. Soon enough, it pulled up upon the horizon. The van was speeding, and fast. Keeping an eye on it, just as you saw the van reach you, you quickly swerved out of the way.
“What was that?” Nayeon asked, hand grasping the handle at the ceiling of the car.
“I did it.” You exhaled to yourself.
“Babe look out!” You heard Nayeon shout, seeing a motorcycle on the wrong side of the road, speeding towards you.
The crash was not as major as the previous one. But it was more than enough to cause damage. After the collision, the motorcyclist and his bike flipped, crashing into the car, the impact of which knocking you out, the last thing you heard being the distressed screams of Nayeon.
Waking up in the hospital, you sat up with a splitting headache, an IV drip stuck into your hand.
“What happened?” You lightly groaned as you asked the doctor next to you, before noticing Nayeon in the bed next to you, swarmed with doctors
“What's happening?” You try to ask, but your injuries stripped you of any energy to even speak out.
“Hands off. Clear.” You heard, and realisation dawned upon you. No. This couldn’t be happening again.
“Time of Death, 2208.” You heard the doctor say, and you felt your world crash around you, all over again
“How could this happen?” You mutter to yourself. You couldn’t let this happen again.
Day 3
"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead. You knew what had to be done this time.
“You, it’s always you.” You say, leaning onto Nayeon with a sigh.
“Are you alright?” Nayeon asked worriedly.
“I just need a hug for a moment.” You whisper, Nayeon nodding as she holds you closer.
Okay, you anticipated not succeeding right away, you just had to try again
.
.
.
“Hey Babe, I’ll drive. Just key in the location.” You say as the two of you left the recreation centre.
“So you can uncover my final surprise? Nuh uh.” Nayeon said, sticking her tongue out, causing you to give her a small smile.
“Jihyo told me.” You stuck your tongue out at her, causing her to roll her eyes.
“Ugh, fine.” Nayeon said, tossing you the keys as you got in the car.
As you drove, Nayeon began to sing the song on the radio, but instead of turning down the highway, you continued along a different route.
“We’re talking about the same restaurant right? Shouldn’t we go by the highway? If we go this way, we’re only going one big round, no?” Nayeon asked, looking at you in confusion.
“Just wanted to take the scenic route.” You reply, fingers tensing around the steering wheel.
“Are you okay, baby? We can go to another restaurant if you’re uncomfortable. I just thought we could have a laugh there, but if you don’t like it…” Nayeon trailed off, seemingly associating your bad mood with her choice of dinner location.
“No baby, its not that, I promise.” You reply, eyes still darting about
“Pinky promise?” Nayeon said in that voice, the voice you knew, and she knew, you couldn’t resist.
“Of course baby.” You say with a smile, left hand extending your pinky out, Nayeon smiling as her pinky hooked yours.
Your heart threatened to jump out of your chest all through the drive there.Whenever a car so much as crossed your periphery, your mind immediately thought, how is this car going to mess with me. But through the ride, nothing happened. It was safe. Words could not describe your relief as you finally parked at the restaurant.
“Baby, is everything alright? You’ve been acting weird ever since we began driving here.” Nayeon asked you while in line at the registration counter.
“Just was a little paranoid. Heard about a few too many car accidents recently, so I was a little on edge.” You replied, Nayeon shooting you a weird look. There hadn’t been any news about that recently.
As you were about to get to your turn at the registration counter, you saw a woman in a hoodie walking out of the restaurant, suddenly bumping into you. Without a word, she hastened her stride, and runs off.
“What the hell was that?” Nayeon asked, eyebrows furrowed.
“I don’t know, something wrong with that one probably. Ignore her, lets enjoy dinner.” You say, Nayeon smiling, nodding as she gave you a kiss on the cheek before walking into the restaurant with you.
Once you were at your seats, you began to read through the menu.
While you were reading the menu, however, you extended your leg, accidentally kicking a bag. That was odd.
Looking down, you noticed a small bag on the ground.
“Hi, Sir?” You raised your hand, beckoning a waiter over to you.
“Hi, are you ready to order?” The waiter asked, taking out a small notepad.
“Not yet, there’s a bag here, I think a previous client left it here.”
“I’ll look into it.” The server picked the bag up, slowly walking over to the main counter.
Looking at the bag, Nayeon’s eyebrows furrowed.
She had noticed some wires protruding from the bag, and she heard a faint ticking sound…
Nayeon’s eyes widened in realisation, especially hearing the ticking sound grow faster.
“Get down!” Nayeon shouted, lunging at you, using her hand to keep your body low, draping her body over yours.
Before your could even be confused, you heard a loud boom, the force pushing you to the ground.
As the dust settled, chairs and tables in a frenzied disarray, you felt yourself get pulled onto a stretcher, your mind still a mess.
Through all the mess, you were set down next to an ambulance, paramedics swarming the area, tending to the wounded. Seeing as you didn’t suffer any serious injuries, you were left there, pretty low on the priority list. Looking around, you tried to find her, but all of a sudden, through all the noise, as if a mocking tune meant to twist the knife in your heart
“Im Nayeon, Time of Death, 2208.”
Day 4
"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead. Your mind was still a mess. It seemed like the universe was conspiring to kill the love of your life. Well, not if you had anything to say about it. Because you’d try over, and over, and over again, until Nayeon was finally safe
“You, it’s always you.” You whisper

Day ???
"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead.
“You, it’s always you.” You say, a tone that all but said you were defeated.
“I’ve gotta go.” You say, quickly getting up from the bed, going to get dressed.
“Don’t you remember what today is?” Nayeon asked, parts shocked, parts angry.
Looking at her, your eyelids drooped, and you looked absolutely defeated.
“This is a throwaway day anyways. I’ll see you at the hospital.” You sigh, walking out of your apartment.
Walking to the bar, you went towards an unmarked room, pounding your fist against the door.
“Open up dipshit, it’s me, Y/N. Don’t say you’re busy, don’t say come back later, I’m not in the mood.” You shout out.
Opening the door, the aforementioned dipshit stuck his head out of the door.
“Have I become that predictable? And of course, come on in.” He said, a hand gesturing into the room.
“Also, do me a favour, tell your secretary that you’ll be receiving a call in roughly 37 minutes, just tell him to come back another time.” You say, crashing onto the couch.
Looking at you in confusion, he finally nodded, texting his secretary, then sitting opposite to you.
“Groundhog day, Nayeon, I’m going insane.” You say, the three pieces of information being enough for the other man.
“That explains a lot. What’s the sitch?” He asked, pulling a whiteboard from the side of his office out.
“I’ve tried everything. No matter what I do, Nayeon ends up dying in the hospital, Time of death, 2208.” You say with a sigh, hanging your head low.
“Oookay, you my friend, need a drink.” He said, sliding you a shot of gin.
“No, I need to have my head on straight for this one. I need to brainstorm a way to save Nayeon.” You decline.
“Alright, tell me the details, we’ll try to plan something.” He said, patting you on the back.
“I know what Nayeon means to you. We’ll figure this out alright?” He said, to which you nodded, though masking a considerable amount of doubt.
The same amount you’ve had the last 20 times you were here.
“Hang on.” You raise a hand, halting him in his step as you pulled out a piece of paper.
Scribbling around 30 or so lines down, you handed the paper to him.
“What’s this?” He asked, scanning through the paper
“Your last 30 ideas.” You deadpanned, letting out a sigh.
A look of realisation dawned upon him.
“Oh, we have a mountain to climb then.”
“Alright, so what happens if you go home after the recreation centre then?”
“We get robbed, the robber's a trigger happy little shit. Tried it out like 20 different ways, no matter what I arm myself with, even calling the cops, the robber can’t miss. In another life, she’d probably be a sniper.” You sighed.
“If you drive around?”
“Car crash, blue van, black SUV, a goddamn 5 tonner. You name it, it crashed into me. When I don’t crash, I’m not kidding when I say this, we get crushed by a landslide.”
“Okay okay, scrap that, what’s the furthest you’ve gotten in your day without getting into an accident.” He asked, fingers massaging his forehead.
“The loop is similar to the second one. I ran out of ideas, so I went back with that plan. I took the wheel, and we drove to the restaurant that we originally booked, but I took a roundabout way. We got there without an accident, but once we got there, surprise surprise, there was a bomb there. There was this one lady who bumped into me, dressed shady as hell, she’s the one who planted the bomb. I tried to take her down once, but that just resulted in the bomb blowing up earlier and killing Nayeon all the same. For this one, I called the cops prior, and they had cleared the place, successfully apprehended the criminal, then disposed of the bomb. Then, surprise surprise, the damn restaurant caught on fire. That’s the furthest I ever made it. This is the closest to 2208 I can make it without Nayeon injured or in the hospital, but that fire was too big, I couldn’t get Nayeon out of it fast enough without the fumes getting to her or us getting trapped under debris. There were other similar situations like this at the restaurant, but there’s usually some minor differences. Once, the bomber’s friends came back to shoot the place up, the other time, some stupid ass kid ran into Nayeon and she fell, hitting her head.”
“Okay, Okay, so we work off of that. Tomorrow, before you start your little date adventure, call me. Tell me code black, and tell me what to do. I’ll get some of the boys to prepare. We know this route can go wrong in a few ways. So, first, call the cops, secure the bomber. That much is obvious. Continue the date as is. We can’t really prevent the fire, given we don’t work there, but I’ll get Samuel there with a fire extinguisher. He’ll hand it off to you before you go in, along with some gas masks. Wouldn’t want the fumes to mess you up. For the shooters, I’ll have some of my boys guard outside, they see any rolling, they’ll call the cops. And for the dumbass kid. Well, just trip him if you see him.” He shrugged, causing you to nod.
You knew there was no way to cover all your bases. The universe would try to throw anything it could at you, but this would work.
“Alright, thanks bro.” You say, pulling him into a hug
“No problem. I know I won’t remember this, but you should go visit mom soon, she’s been pretty bored recently.” He said, tightly embracing you.
Once out of the hug, he put his hand on your shoulder.
“This is gonna work, kid. Have faith alright? But, y’know, stay on your toes too.” He said with a small smile.
“I really hope so, because I really don’t know how many more of these loops I can take before going insane.” You say, letting out a hoarse chuckle.
“And, 3,2,1.” You say, looking at your watch.
Right on cue, your phone began to ring. With a sigh, you picked up the phone.
“Yes Natasha? Don’t worry how I know your name, yes, I’m Mrs Nayeon’s partner, I’ll be there in a short while.” You say, then hanging up the phone.
“After this loop ends, Drinks on me.” He patted you on the back.
“I look forward to it.”
Day ???+1
"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead.
“You, it’s always you.” You say, leaning onto Nayeon with a sigh.
“Are you alright?” Nayeon asked worriedly.
“I just need a hug for a moment.” You whisper, Nayeon nodding as she holds you closer.
As you leaned on Nayeon’s shoulder, you closed your eyes, taking a deep breath. Today was the day. You were going to save Nayeon today.
“Hey babe, you can go get dressed first, I gotta call Darius” You said, Nayeon nodding.
“Alright babe, say Hi to him for me.” Nayeon said with a hum, walking to her dresser.
“Code Black, I’ll send you the details.”
“Roger that.”
After typing out what you had discussed with Darius, you sent it to him, getting a thumbs up from him.
“Hey babe, how do I look?” Nayeon asked, drawing your attention.
She stood there, twirling around with that cute smile on her face.
“Perfect, as always.”
.
.
.
“Nay, I gotta go take a call, can you wait for me by the car?” You ask, Nayeon nodding
Once Nayeon was out of earshot, you took your phone out, dialling the police.
.
As you drove, Nayeon began to sing the song on the radio, though pausing as she noticed you turning to the longer route.
“We’re talking about the same restaurant right? Shouldn’t we go by the highway? If we go this way, we’re only going one big round, no?” Nayeon asked, looking at you in confusion.
“Just taking the more Scenic route babe, don’t worry about it.” You say with a small smile.
As expected, much to your delight, the ride there was a smooth one, though your mental preparations for the upcoming dinner from hell caused you to tense up quite a little.
Reaching the restaurant, Nayeon’s eyebrow furrowed.
“Hmm, why are there so many police cars?” Nayeon looked around curiously.
“Maybe there was some disputes here. They’re leaving now, so we should be fine.” You reassure Nayeon, who nods.
Walking out to the counter, you see Samuel, a friend of Darius’, someone you had seen in passing but never really interacted with.
“The package has been set under your table. Here are the masks, godspeed my friend.” Samuel says, handing you the small pouch. You quickly take it, grabbing them and shoving them into your pocket.
“Thank you so much for this.” You thank Samuel, who returned a small smile.
“Anytime.”
“Who was that just now? At the counter?” Nayeon asked as she browsed through the menu
“Oh, just a friend of Darius’. We were just exchanging pleasantries.” You reply, Nayeon seemingly satisfied with this answer.
Looking around the restaurant, you seeked to remove the first and most minute possibility of messing up.
“Hey kid.” You beckon the boy over to you.
“Here’s 10$, do me a favour, stay seated at your table alright?” You whisper, the boy nodding, taking the money before running back to his seat.
“You’re acting weird today.” Nayeon said in a joking tone, but you knew there was some serious concern behind that.
“Don’t worry about it babe, let’s order.” You reassure her.
As the dinner went on surprisingly incident free, for now at least, you got a message from Darius.
“All clear so far. Besides, I heard on the news that the cops had made a big arrest on some of the members associated with the bombers, so you’re only left with the fire. Good luck.”
As if a goddamn hex had been placed, almost instantaneously, you heard shouts from the kitchen, followed by some sparks.
“Babe, I need you to listen to me very carefully, I need you to do exactly as I say for the next 5 minutes alright? Put this mask on.” You say to her, quickly taking the masks from your pocket.
Nayeon looked in fear at the flames that were rapidly spreading, looking to you and nodding.
“Stay behind me, and when I say run for the exit, run.” You say, taking the bag off the fire extinguisher.
“How did y-”
“Question for another time, let’s go!” You say, standing up as you pulled the pin on the fire extinguisher, spraying the gas at the sources of fire around you. As you were putting out the flames around you, your main priority was to put out the flames leading to the door, aiming to make a safe passage for Nayeon and other people in the restaurant.
“Go!” You shout out, Nayeon making a dash for the exit, you follow close as you continue extinguishing the fire around you.
When you were just about to reach the exit, you heard a loud creak, seeing the banner above Nayeon about to fall.
“No!” You scream out, lunging at her, draping your body over hers.
The large banner crashed upon your back, knocking you unconscious, your last thought before you blacked out, a jumbled slurry of fear and pain.
“Can you hear me?” You heard a doctor ask as you were slowly regaining consciousness.
“Yeh doc, I can hear you.” You groggily reply, before your mind immediately sharpened.
“Where’s Nayeon? My wife.” You ask, before hearing a cough to your side.
“Look around sometimes, baby.” Nayeon said weakly, though with a smile on her face.
“No, No.” You mutter, the memories of your first loop rushing in to your mind.
“Nay, are you alright? Are you feeling off in any way?” You quickly ask.
“Other than a mild concussion and some scrapes, I’m fine, thanks to you. My hero.” Nayeon said, a smile on her face.
You looked around in confusion, till you finally saw it. 2210. You had made it.
“Yes!” You exclaim in excitement, before your wounds promptly put you back on the bed.
“Calm down my friend. So, about your injury. We’ve done some scans, nothing serious, but we’d still like to keep you for observation for one day. And, it was very heroic what you did there, not just saving your wife, but you and the fire extinguisher. I heard from the other patrons who I attended to earlier, if not for you, most of them would have died in there, but thanks to you, the worst injury someone suffered was a mild burn. So, great job, and rest up.” The doctor smiled, gently patting you on the back before leaving the ward.
“So, my hero, mind telling me how you had those masks ready for us? And that fire extinguisher too?” Nayeon asked, curious.
“Story for another day my love, for now, let’s just rest, alright? And, happy 2nd.” You say, causing Nayeon to chuckle.
“What an eventful 2nd anniversary it’s been.” She says, to which you smirk.
“You have no idea. Good night babe.” You say, before shutting your eyes, a smile as you could already feel the beautiful horizon of the next day to come, it’s rays shining upon you
.
.
.
As your eyes slowly opened, you shook your head a little, as if coming out of a headache"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary." Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead, the rest unintelligible due to your still addled mind
“Babe, what are you talking about, it’s not our anniversary anymore?” You tried to say, still not fully comprehending what she had said. But as you said it, you found that you couldn’t move.
And you weren’t in the hospital, you were at home, time frozen as the exact scenario you’ve woken up to hundreds upon hundreds of times played out the exact same way as before.
No, it can’t be. You won. You, against all odds, had finally found a way to save Nayeon. You did it. Right?
As you were stuck there, frozen, a horrible realisation dawned upon you.

“Nayeon, you can’t do this!” Oh my god, she’s really going to shoot me. Y/n is on the floor bleeding out right in front of both of us and she’s going to fucking shoot me?!
Panic ices my veins as Nayeon opens her mouth to reply. Tears are filling my eyes and I can’t seem to blink them away fast enough. I hear Nayeon hit the floor, shouting out and the gun skidding out of sight.
Nayeon’s rage is heard but no longer seen, the sounds of struggling bouncing off the walls from behind the desk. Hearing Y/n’s grunts of pain make me nauseous and panicky. A hefty sinking feeling that weighs me down, physically trying to slow me while I come up with a plan to stop everything around me.
If I want to put a stop to this, I need that gun.
Now.
Seeing a glint from the metal on the edge of the room against a baseboard, I race over to pick it up.
In my race to turn around I see Y/n getting the shit beat out of them on the ground. Nayeon gets up, scanning the floor to try and find the gun that was already in my hands.
I don’t want to do this! God, I really don’t want to fucking do this! Deep breath in, exhale slowly, finger around the trigger and…
The shot louder than any sound I’ve ever heard, reverberating the ache in my heart harder as the scene before me unfolds in slow motion and deafening silence. Nayeon mouth opens and face turns red, reflecting anguish when her knees hit the floor. She coddles her abdomen, mask contorting from hatred, to pain in the blink of an eye.
I drop the gun and immediately run over to Y/n. She’s bleeding all over the floor, I cup the back of her head to try and halt the loss of her life force but I’m so worried it’s already been too much spilled, the puddle of blood growing larger with passing seconds.
Y/n is so disoriented, I can barely catch her attention. Pulling her head into my lap, trying to talk to her to keep her here but she keeps looking at me with fluttering eyes. I can’t even hear my own voice, crying out for her without even an echo in my head.
I can’t hold myself together anymore, my tears start to fall endlessly down my cheeks. I can’t lose her. Even in such a short time, I’ve grown to truly care for this human that lays in my lap, bruised and bloodied.
The look of hope beaming through her eyes in an attempt to focus on me. My heart cracks just a little more. Someone had to have heard the gunshots. Someone had to call for help, right?
“Y/n! Y/n! Look at me, it’s going to be okay! We are going to get you ou-”
A heavy jolt of pressure slams into my chest.
Air ripped from my lungs at a pace that’s indescribable.
Unable to even hear my heart beating in this deafening silence, my eyes water and my breathing tries to regulate but hyperventilating was the only response my body had.
I look up and see Nayeon with her hand over her wound, slouched in the corner of the room with the gun pointed right at me.
At…me?
Y/N’s body starts to vibrate in my arms, I look down for a split second to see them screaming in agony. The thick crimson liquid drips down my torso rapidly when it registers what’s happened. That’s where the burn starts. A stinging, fiery, gut wrenching blaze of panic that drench the tension in something that can only be explained as pure terror. Nausea and sweat are immediate following the outpour of blood.
My breathing picks up rapidly, my body finally catching up with my brain and trying to save itself. I keep my hand on the back of Y/n’s head, and bring my other up to cover my own wound. Watching as Nayeon keeps her eyes on the scene unfolding, a grimace on her face when Y/n passes out in my arms.
“Mina, you should be happy!” mockingly loud, spat at me through the ringing of my ears.
“At least she won’t have to watch you suffer!” Nayeon brings the gun back up, pointing it right in my line of sight before her head swings to her right and she locks eyes with something behind me.
Nayeon’s eyes widened at the door that’s violently flying open. My hearing fades slowly back in. Turning my head towards whatever Nayeon was looking at, Jihyo storms in and is yelling and aggressively flailing her arms.
Jihyo?
What is she doing here?!
Confusion sets in, the blood spills from my chest, and it’s getting harder to breathe.
Jihyo continues to point when she looks over and sees the state of Y/N and I. Her eyes widened with pure terror and rage, storming over to Nayeon and attempting to grab the gun from her. Nayeon points the gun at Jihyo and kicks her legs out weakly, trying to keep Jihyo away from her.
“I don’t want to shoot you, Hyo! Baby, please!” Faintly heard through the ringing of my eardrums trying to reset.
“LOOK AT WHAT YOU'VE DONE, NAYEON! The police are already on their way, I told them everything about your plan!” Jihyo snatches the gun from her. She’s absolutely bawling her eyes out in disgust at how far Nayeon was willing to go.
My vision starts to blur leaving light trails behind every thing that moves. Nayeon stands and lunges at Jihyo, throwing punches and kicking her, trying to reach for the gun again.
“Why would you FUCKING tell them?! I thought you were loyal! I thought you loved me!” Nayeon screeches in a fit of rage, mustering every ounce of energy she can to wrestle Jihyo to the ground.
My body starts swaying back and forth. I'm losing the will to stay awake. I look down at Y/n, passed out in my arms. Her breathing is shallow.
I have to keep my eyes open for her.
I start coughing harshly, tasting the blood that is spewing out of my mouth, coating my tongue in an iron laced flavor. The taste of defeat is present in the moment, if I’m coughing blood…that mean that the bullet is probably in my lung…I’m going to drown if I don’t pass out from the blood loss first.
I’m trying my best to keep pressure on my chest and on the back of Y/n’s head but my strength is wavering far too much to be successful in both.
A warm hand on my back that has a sense of urgency startles me. Attempting to focus, I look up to see Momo bawling her eyes out next to me. Her hand flies over mine to put more pressure on my bullet wound.
Momo is trying to understand everything happening around us, eyes frantically trying to absorb everything one by one. The bullet hole in my chest, Jihyo and Nayeon fighting it out on the floor, Y/n’s bloodied state, and then right back to her hands, that are now covered in my blood.
“How did you know we were here?” I choke out between shallow, hoarse breaths.
“Jihyo called me on her way here. I was on the phone with her when I heard the first shot.”
My head feels too heavy to hold up. I slouch a little, swaying and trying to keep my eyes open and the pressure tight when a loud smack startles me and Momo both.
Both of us looked up immediately to see Jihyo shaking her hand in pain, knuckles bloodied, and Nayeon trying to stand back up but struggling to stand on her own two feet.
Nayeon tackles Jihyo to the floor again, large hands around her neck, tensely squeezing our leader's throat. Jihyo is trying everything in her power to pry Nayeon’s fingers off her throat, gasping and tugging at her digits, trying to hit Nayeon but nothing would remove her.
“I’m sorry, baby, but I couldn’t end up with you. You just aren’t Y/n.” Nayeon hisses above Jihyo before lifting her head by her neck and slamming it into the ground.
Momo stands up to try and come to Jihyo’s defense, ready to defend her and help her get Nayeon subdued until the police arrived.
A bang shatters every reality between what should have happened and what did happen.
Colors wash out of my sight when I see how Momo freezes in front of me, unmoving in a statuesque fashion, breath being held in a death grip.
I call out to her, barely hearing my own voice when her body shudders, turning away and bringing her attention back to me and y/n. I can see and hear her sobs in whispers and grey wash.
Looking over to where the struggle happened, Jihyo is still laying flat on her back sobbing with Nayeon on top of her, too still for comfort.
“Momo…what happened?” I squeak out.
Her eyes are lifeless. Someone who has just witnessed something horrific squatted before me, hands shaking, struggling to apply pressure to my chest and unable to look me in the eyes.
“Why did you do this?…why?” Jihyo cries out through sniffles and rage filled tears.
The clunking sound of someone rolling into the floor catches me off guard, watching Jihyo stand. She’s drenched in blood and making her way over to me.
“Momo…” I croaked with the last bit of my energy, when my vision started to fade to black.
“Stop…Y/n’s blee-…”
The last thing I felt was my back hitting the floor and coldness.
—
Everything is hazy and unfamiliar for a moment, lucidity is not something my brain feels like it’s familiar with. I can’t tell if my eyes are closed but I feel cold. Prickling in my skin does nothing but annoy as a rush of chemicals tells my body it’s okay to be okay.
It’s going to be okay, right?
The burning sensation I can’t quite pinpoint eases rapidly after the sharp stick in the divot of my arm. The voices I hear are unfamiliar, except one. The tone brings comfort, but I couldn’t tell you who it was or what they are to me. All I know is this clouded darkness behind my eyes.
I fall into what feels like sleep. Calm, quiet, almost nurturing in the way of comfort. It envelops me completely. What a joy to feel something other than fear and pain.
Just calm.
I hope she’s okay.
A loud slam of something metal around me brings me into a state of conscience that I have never felt, shifting me into something recognizable and familiar. The darkness in my eye lids slowly fades into warm lighting, laughter and playfulness is heard through out the room I find myself in.
I’m at Jihyo’s house?
How did I get here?
“Oh my GOD! Baby, what are you doing here?!” Nayeon screams and runs out the front door.
Baby?…What is happening?
Y/n and Nayeon walk in, hand in hand. Smiling at each other and everyone is running over to meet the girl that Nayeon has been gushing about. I feel a pang of jealousy in my stomach. Y/n would never do this to me, after what Nayeon did.
Trying to stand to confront them both, I can’t force my body to move.
Wait…
This is the party where we met for the first time.
One of my favorite memories.
She’s sitting there quietly and I just can’t help but watch her take everything in. Her energy is so warm. So peaceful.
I mirror her, silently taking her in, watching her body language, watching how she is with the other members. Politely listening to others speak about their individual interests. I see her eyes shift to me.
“Mina, I know we actually have some hobbies in common! You like legos and video games too, right? Minecraft is what Nayeon told me.” quizzically from across the way.
I can’t believe this is who Nayeon was with. This is not what I pictured at all. Usually she dates obsessive fangirls that she can use and throw away when she’s done, but this person she has just introduced us all to…was nothing like that. She was kind, considerate, very good looking, and someone who brought life into a conversation.
The first of a few conversations, usually that she started. I was always too nervous to speak to her without her prompting it, though I desperately wanted to. I was and am so fascinated and intrigued by the fluttering in my stomach with every word spoken in that angelic voice.
Faces start distorting when I come to the conclusion that this must be a dream.
I must be dreaming.
The walls drop and everything snaps to darkness. My legs whisking me forward trying to find some sense of direction when I blink, I’m in a hallway? Where am I? And then I see her.
Walking down the same hallway laced in gray paint, the embodiment of sunshine, the light in this monotone building. Y/n walks right past me and offers up a small smile. A soft “Hey Mina. It’s so good to see you.” And a somber wave in my direction, the gentle tears streaming down her cheeks, I remember this…
The corridor zips out from underneath me, shrinking in the distant void to a mere sparkle. I’m alone in the darkness again. Why did I just hop from a memory to another memory…?
The sound of yelling brings be to another familiar place. Half warm, half ice. The energy here was a weird sense of home, comfortably uncomfortable.
I’m at Y/n and Nayeon’s apartment…the girls are in the living room but Nayeon and Y/n are nowhere to be seen. The music is just loud enough to muffle the shouting in the other room but I’m close enough to the door to hear it.
“Fine! Do whatever you want, Nayeon!”
“What do you mean? You’re supposed to come with us!”
“I don’t want to be around you, so you go! Do whatever you want, you’re going to anyway!”
The door opens, Nayeon steps out and I see Y/n hunched over in a chair with her head in her hands, body shivering, obviously holding back sobs. Nayeon closes the door quickly to avoid the detection of the fight.
Making eye contact with me as she spins around, I smile at her and pretend I didn’t see. Y/n needs her right now, and she’s just going to leave with us? What kind of a partner are you?
The sound of her cracking open a beer can throws me forward, through a sliding glass door.
I’m on a balcony? I can hear the girls inside laughing and having a good time. A sniffle rings out against the laughter in a contrast that makes my stomach sink.
Looking to my left, I see Y/n sitting with her back against the wall, curled into herself, elbows resting on her knees and hands covering her obviously crying face.
My heart breaks in that moment, in a way it didn’t the first time. In a way I didn’t know was possible. Just as I did in the memory, I sit next to her in silence. The memory wouldn’t allow me to change it’s already pathed out course, this moment I would never change.
She looks up at me when our shoulders touch, eyes red and swollen.
“Oh! Mina…Hey!. Sorry, I’m okay. Just…uh…having a bad day.” through the tears that descend down her soft cheeks.
“Are you really okay?” I wish I could say more. I know she’s not okay. I’ve known for a while but it’s not my place to tell this person I barely knew to leave her partner. It seems like Nayeon has manipulated Y/n into thinking that what was happening between them was healthy.
Super sweet love bombing.
Calm conversations with carefully chosen words to belittle, betray, and knock down.
Nayeon’s perfectly crafted nightmare of subtle abuse was so laced in other tastes that it was almost impossible to spot from any perspective, you had to be paying attention very very closely to see it. It makes sense why she lost her mind when she did. The plan falls apart when the object of your manipulation realizes they have free will, or you get too sloppy and they flat out leave.
She stops moving, frozen in the question. The pain behind her eyes sears my heart in ways unexplainable. How I wish I could take that pain away from her.
Y/n leans her head on my shoulder, tears stop falling momentarily. Her body relaxes in a way I was unfamiliar with before…was she always this comfortable around me?
A knock on the slider blends with the sound of something being thrown across the room that materialized right in front of me.
Suddenly, I’m in Japan for our group interview, walking in on Jihyo and Nayeon having a very heated conversation.
“What am I supposed to do? If the public finds out…the company will have a fit!” Nayeon is in tears, fists bawled and red in the face. Jihyo is holding her, rubbing her back in a soothing manner. Her hand glides up Nayeon’s spine in a very…intimate…way.
“Don’t worry, honey.” swiping a tear gently off Nayeon’s cheek, the loving look in her eyes was something I’d never seen them share. I had never seen Jihyo react this way to anyone’s tears like that, not even Sana.
“We can figure it out, okay? We can make a plan for when Y/n and you talk and keep our story strai- Hey, Mina!” Jihyo jumps back from Nayeon, seemingly nervous about what I’ve seen.
“…is everything okay?”
“Yes, Nayeon and Y/n got into a fight…they’ll be fine. Don’t worry.” Jihyo assured me, though at the time, I didn’t know what I was hearing in that conversation. Nayeon’s glare at me was enough to speak volumes.
She must’ve always known my fascination with Y/n.
“Alright girls, I’ve got a plane to catch back home…are you going to be okay, hon- I mean unnie?”
A freudian slip.
“Honey.” said out loud, just like when I heard it for the first time and again, without my own free will.
Nayeon scowls at me, Jihyo is shocked I said anything and I’m not so confused about what was happening here anymore. At the time I had not realized how close they were, or what was transpiring between them. I can still hardly believe it, even with proof.
The sound of footsteps towards me sends me to memory, turning into my own steps while I pace on the phone with Momo, talking about how Nayeon and Y/n have broken up and what Nayeon did to her.
The upset that all the information she is telling me over the speaker floods me with upset. A rage unseen by most, even hearing it a second time causes me to seethe. An innocent person, broken by the hands of someone unworthy.
Little did I know how broken she would actually get. I thought maybe I could help put the pieces back together, I never imagined it would turn into what it did…
“Hey, Momo, will you send me Y/n’s number? I’d like to check on her.” I still feel the nervousness behind the question along with the cheerfulness of seeing her again.
Even if this broken record moment in my brain is just a figment, it’s making me feel the same way, almost layered in a sense. The before feeling, and the after feeling.
If you really think about it, memories are just mental photobooks. Bottles of feelings and images contained for when you hear a sound, smell something familiar, or are around a specific person that makes your heart scream in agony at the sheer amount of love that seeps into every orifice you have when in their presence.
I am simply living in them.
“Sure, I’m sure she would love to hear from you, Mina.” replied when the phone in my hand vibrates. The text Momo sent has a contact labeled “Y/nnie” I can’t help but chuckle at the cute nickname again. I watch myself, from my own eyes, save it and not change the name.
I hesitate to call, the worry of if she would agree to hang out with me sits on my stomach again. I can do this, I know I can…Okay okay, here we go.
Reliving the excited feeling of calling her for the first time was less excruciating this time, the phone ringing until I heard her yell through the speaker.
“Can you stop calling me? I obviously don’t want to talk to you.” the tone heavy with annoyance, I remember thinking this was a bad time to call.
“..Y/n?” the hesitation when she realizes that I wasn’t the person she assumed I was adorable. Small notes of confusion in her silence was something I wish I could have witnessed sooner.
“Oh…uhm, sorry…I thought this was Jihyo. I don’t have this number saved in my phone…”
“That’s alright” I giggled, feeling a little awkward just as I remember.
“It’s Mina.”
“Mina?”the shock in her voice was noticeable, voice pitched up, and I could visualize her brows furrowing.
“Momo told me what happened and I asked for your number… I hope that’s okay.” the sounds of the call change drastically, going from crystal clear to a little hazy and to the sound of squeaky brakes.
“Yes, that’s totally fine…uhm, sorry, I’m…a little all over the place right now.”
“I know we don’t really know each other too well but…uhm, I know we have some common interests and that you could probably use a friend right now…so I figured I would call and see if you wanted to get a coffee or something…or maybe just sit on the couch and play videogames or… something.” I really should’ve thought about what I was going to say before I called her.
“That sounds…really nice. I’d love to. Would you…want to text me your schedule for the next week or two and we can plan it from there?” My heart flutters again when I hear the sound of her smile beaming through the phone.
“Sounds good, I’ll text you.” hanging up before I got too giggly on the phone. I wasn’t trying to be weird about it to her…I just wanted to get to know her and be around her warmth again.
The sound of my phone locking sends me to her front door, 2 coffees in hand. A deep breath before the door opens. I was so nervous to see her and a little worried about the anxiety that she had been feeling.
The crack of the door ushers me inside and I offer her the coffee she didn’t ask for. We curl up on separate couches and play video games together and just talk.
We have intellectual conversations about almost every topic we stumble upon, I see her back unclenching as the day goes on and I know that we both need to eat.
Heading to the Japanese cafe that was so close by we could walk, our hands brush against each other. To feel that all over again ethereal. Bursts of adrenaline, the flashes of cold, the fluttering of the butterflies, the way it ignited something in me. I was meant to hold that hand.
“These shops seem cool, maybe we should come back another day and explore them.” My ears are burning at the question and the overwhelming tension I feel inside myself about her. I do hope we can go back to those shops someday.
We ordered sake and I asked her if I could order food for her. Paying attention to what she said when we spoke earlier when I was describing the food my mother makes, it seemed like it would be a fun idea.
I ordered the food in Japanese so the meal would be a surprise when it arrived at the table. The way she looked at me when I did was absolutely adorable, seemingly nervous now- scratching the sides of her fingers.
Reaching my hand out, I lay it on hers. Her shoulders relax and her jaw unclenches, our eyes are locked and I’m swooning. Even in a nervous state, this celestial being in front of me was devastating to my heart.
The way the emotions flickered in her eyes and on her face were telling of the last person who held this hand and the damage she left behind.
I touched her without permission, my hand retracted rapidly as I apologized. The food arrives in the middle of her trying to tell me why she reacted the way she did, cutting off the conversation all together.
She notices the similarities in our plates, asking me if we got the same thing. I tell her I remembered the little details from what she used to eat when she came to the studio, so I took off what she didn’t like and had them rearrange things.
She tells me the entire story of what happened with Nayeon over the food that night. I still can’t fathom the type of human that could hurt someone so tender.
The clinking of the plates after we finish our meal puts me in the cafe, paying for the bill. I thanked the lady at the podium and turn to walk out the front door when I see them.
Nayeon is outside with Jihyo, trying to throw herself at Y/n, what the hell is she doing here? I get so angry thinking about the pain that she’s gone through and with a little liquid courage from the sake, I take my stance next to Y/n and grab her hand.
“Are you ready to go, my love?” I make sure to raise my voice a little so that Nayeon and Jihyo can hear what I’ve said. I refuse to let her try to bully Y/n into submission. There will be no opportunities for that, at least not with me around.
“You can’t be serious right now, Y/n! After last night, are you on a date with Mina? A member of my group? Do you not have your own friends to filter through? Did I not satiate you enough? …Maybe we should’ve gone one more round.”
Nayeon is absolutely floored, so mad that she’s here with me. Seeing it all play back in my mind's eye, I should’ve noticed the signs. I should’ve seen what was going to happen. Maybe I could’ve protected her.
Wait…did she say a date?
I mean…I guess this is a date…I never thought about it like that. I wonder how Y/n felt when Nayeon said that…I know now how she feels about us, but I can’t help but wonder what was going through her head while we were here.
Jihyo is silently crying and getting back into the car but I don’t think anyone else notices. While I view her as a huge part of the problem, I can’t help but feel bad for her. Look at her standing there so uncomfortable she can barely even function.
“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of her from now since you can’t satiate her, apparently.” I wink at Nayeon and lead Y/n away from this mess.
A sneeze places me on Y/n’s couch with her wrapped around me, cuddling into me with her hand on my torso. My heart is full like this. I hope to experience more of moments like these with her.
My body jolts from her pushing down on me, gasping for air in a way that’s rushed and eager. She’s immediately up crying and pacing back and forth in the living room. A panic attack happening before my eyes, I spring into action and comfort her the best I can.
Y/n parts from me, stripping her hoodie off so she’s just in a sports bra. I’m attempting to be respectful about not staring at her half naked but having the hardest time with it. I just want to give her everything she deserves.
I catch her by her wrist as she paces, pulling her into my arms and telling her she’s safe. Y/n pulls back, looking me in the eyes from mere inches away. I can feel her breath against me, I just want to lean in and press my lips on hers when she scoots in a little closer to me.
I take this as permission, meeting her in the middle and the lightning that shoots through me is so powerful that all my nerves burn with the essence that is Y/n. Trying to keep things calm but she starts to lean in harder so I take control.
I push her onto the couch and once my hands hit the couch, the glass shatters and we are surrounded by police and clothed again. The police are questioning my poor Y/n. I wish she could catch a break.
The click of the officers pen and I’m taping up the window for her, turning around to see her completely lost in thoughts with glass in her foot.
The snap of the first aid kit brings us back to her bed, where she’s telling me she feels safe and my heart is racing to tell her all the feelings that have built up.
Next thing I know, I’m between her legs tasting the slick off her folds. She’s moaning underneath me and the sound is godly. I just want to devour her but this isn’t the moment. That will come soon enough. Right now, this is about her.
What she wants.
What she needs.
Cumming into my mouth, the sounds are that of angels singing to me and only me in that moment. I wrap my fingers around her throat and squeeze a little just to hear her moan for me again.
Leaning down to kiss her again, when our lips part I’m on the phone with the police.
“Hello, we’ve called to update you on the case that you filed last night. We’ve arrested Park Jihyo. She admitted guilt when confronted about the vandalizing of house.”
“What?” I still can’t believe she would have taken the fall for Nayeon like that.
When I hit end on the phone call, I spin around to Y/n telling me to lay in her lap and I happily do so. There’s so much comfort in her touch, I can’t explain the calm. It’s calmer than the void at the beginning of this weird live action trip down memory lane. I sink into a deep sleep while she plays with my hair.
When my eyes open, I’m on the phone with Momo. At this point, I’m just letting this memory train whisk me away. I’m not going to question why this is happening.
She’s wondering where I am, I remember the banquet and then I’m throwing my shoes on by the front door when Y/n asks me on a date…an official date. I’m consumed with joy. Finally, Ill get to show her what love actually looks like.
When the door shuts behind me, I’m suddenly at Momo’s house getting ready with her and Dahyun.
“Soooo…you and y/n, hm?” Momo pokes at me to get more information.
“Well…I think so. These past 2 days have been…kind of magic? Even with all the crazy stuff that’s been happening with Nayeon.” I want to shout how excited I am from the rooftops but my body won’t allow me to.
“I really hope yo- wait, what did you say?” The confusion on Momo’s face is laced in concern as she stares at me, waiting for me to fill in the blanks.
I tell her everything. The confrontation at the restaurant, the way Nayeon called Y/n that morning, the rock through the window, and lastly Jihyo taking the fall.
Momo and Dahyun both are stunned by this new information, jaws on the floor. I just nod my head at them, trying to not think about the negatives of this because I have a date with Y/n and the closeness we have has made me so smitten.
“Wait…you were with Y/n this morning? I thought you had plans yesterday…?” Dahyun is confused about the story she has just overheard.
“Uhm…yes. She didn’t want to be alone last night so I stayed with her.” I admit quietly, hoping for no further questions. Not that I don’t want to talk about it, but it feels so fresh.
“…did you sleep on the couch? Or?” Dahyun is smiling so big at me that I can’t help but laugh.
Momo doesn’t even try to stop her from asking questions because she’s curious as well, it’s not like Y/n gave her any information while she was on the phone with her.
“I did not sleep on the couch.”
They both gasp at this. They aren’t stupid. They know what happened.
“Wait did you guys have se-”
“I’m going to go call Y/n and see if she’s on her way.” I step out of the room and dial the phone, stepping outside to get some privacy.
When the door clicks behind me, I’m blasted into the memory of her crying in my arms because Nayeon showed up to her apartment and bombarded her, yet again.
I tell her to stay with me tonight after she expresses she doesn’t want to see Nayeon again. Y/n announces she doesn’t want to impose and I just kiss her to shut her up.
I pull on her blazer to keep her close and feel her hands travel up to my neck. I’m going to take her here.
Right here.
I untuck her shirt, run my fingers along the edge of her waistline when the door flings open.
“Hey, Mina did you talk wi- OH?!” Of course, it’s Momo interrupting the moment. How embarrassing.
“Sorry to interrupt! Should I go back inside or?” Dahyun sneaks out behind Momo through the door and shuts it.
The sound of the lock latching sends me to the table we are all sat at, eating dinner and making light conversation. I’m focused on Y/n, who is toying around with her food and not really present in the moment.
Leaning over to her, I make sure to look Y/n in her eyes when I ask her if she’s okay the first time. A small nod of the head, I lean back into my chair, and continue eating my dinner. I know she’s lying, it’s written in the way her eyes are tracing every detail of the table and avoiding mine.
Maybe she just doesn’t know how apparent it is. I take another few bites, leaning in one more time.
“Are you su-”
“I get that we aren’t together but can you stop doing whatever this-” moving her hands around in a dramatic fashion. “- is, in front of me? Kind of rude, don't you think?”
You are kidding me. I can’t believe she just said that in front of everyone. We are not supposed to be the focus tonight.
“Nayeon, not now.” Momo chiming in like she already knew what any sane person would be thinking watching this all play out. More annoyed than I will allow myself to display, especially after knowing what was going to happen after this.
Especially now, knowing exactly what Nayeon was capable of.
“You think she can do for you what I did? You think she can be who you need her to be for you?! WE are supposed to be here together, not you and Mina! Mina, of all people!” body language threatening and almost violent in nature.
Me? Of all people? What the *fuck* does that mean?!
Everyone around us is completely in shock, with the exception of those who knew what Nayeon was, who Nayeon could be. I see some avoidance from a few of the members, not wanting to encourage her or draw attention to the situation.
Reliving this makes me just as enraged as it did the first time.
“I bet she doesn’t fuck like I do or do you need another reminder of how I fuck you?”
Oh, good god. I still can’t believe she said that out loud for everyone at this table and around us to hear. This is not the fucking place for this.
“I can’t believe you wouldn’t want to work on thi-”
“ENOUGH!”
Boom.
I take another bite of my meal, before setting my utensils down. Looking over at my stunning date, making sure to make eye contact. The fury behind my eyes is enough to prompt her to do what I so desperately wanted to.
“Nayeon, why don’t you tell everyone where Jihyo is?” the malice inflected in the statement sends chills down my spine. This assertive dominant part of her that I was meeting in full form for the first time…I was happy she was spending the night at mine.
I feel the way the warmth fills me, starting between my legs and creeping up as she puts this vicious bitch in her place.
“Y/n…I- I don’t know what you mean. H- How should I know?” That’s right. Panic.
“Oh, sure you do!...Weren’t you with her last night?” Everyone is staring at her now, confused and concerned.
“Wait-” Tzuyu starts and then everything is silent. I look around, waiting for the room to change to the memory I know is next.
Everyone around me is frozen in place, unwavering in complete and total stillness. I stand and fix my dress, this is the first time that I have control over my body since this montage of memories started.
Walking towards the room.
The room.
The room where everything happens.
The room where Y/n gets hurt.
The room where I get shot.
The room where Jihyo ends Nayeon’s life…
I step in with no hesitation, before I realize that the entirety of the room is pitch black and there is no floor.
I fall.
Dropping through a tunnel of nothingness, just trying to catch anything that will keep me from descending into this pit of darkness. The void calls and I’ve returned against my will again.
A halt jerks me out of the dissociated state that I found myself in. How long did I fall for? How long have I been in this state?
A small pinhole of light shines through the ether, steadily growing and getting brighter.
Is it getting closer?
“Mina?” An echoed whisper reverberates every bone in my body. Shaking me violently, the void cracks, shining the beams of another realm through the shattering façade around me
“Mina…darling, you have to wake up.”
Y/n?
Dull beeps pipe through the whispers and into my brain. My throat feels hot, why doesn’t my throat feel hot?
“Mina, please…”
The light is blinding now as a vision of my parents shine through, my eyes flutter open and try to focus on their faces when the smell of hospital breaks all my senses.
The tube down my throat keeps me from speaking, my parents are crying in happiness that I’m awake but the tears I cry are of fear.
My eyes search helplessly, unable to communicate what I’m looking for.
Who I am looking for.
My father notices my panic, trying to calm me when the pain starts. The same burn in my chest from earlier. I try to look down at my chest at my wound when the nurse comes in and greets me.
“Mina! Welcome back! Your family missed you!” cheered through a beaming smile.
I start weakly mimicking writing with my hand, looking around the room for someone to understand what I’m asking for.
My father grabs the whiteboard at the end of the bed with my medical information on it, wiping it clean and holding it next to me. He uncaps the marker with his teeth and spits it out onto the floor, wrapping my hand around it so that I can write.
“Mina, we are going to pull the tube from you now to make sure that lung is functioning the way that it’s supposed to, okay?” the nurse chimes in as I’m writing.
The doctor comes in, trying to usher my father to the side so he can do what he needs to. I grip my dad’s forearm to signal him to stay in place.
“Please, she’s been asleep for so long, can you just give us a moment?”
I write the last few letters quickly before the doctors get to work, I watch my parents brows furrow at what I’ve written. My father takes the whiteboard out of the room, my mother staying with me for the remainder of the removal of the tube.
Gasping for air, my body is trying to recalibrate to the new surroundings. To reality.
“Where…” my voice is gravely and horse, barely coming out in a whisper.
“Is…” I swallow, trying to build up my strength to say the last word I needed to.
