You know what I've been thinking about all day now? How the original shows would be reimagined for your AU, for example, the episode "Going Dutch," where Kane, instead of microbots, unleashes a tongue-eating louse on the city. And what kind of sea creatures the other characters would be. The Skylarks, for example, are piranhas, and Herceg, with №2, is a Siamese fighting fish and a Red lionfish.

Tongue eating louses that turn merfolk into zombies is a great concept! And that episode where the metal eating micro bots were released into Mototcity could instead be metal eating krill swarms!!

The terra could swim alongside massive tuna instead of deer and use kelp instead of vines for weapons!

I already have a chart thing for some of the species of the other characters, but I'm thinking about changing a few of them up if I find a species or design that matches the character better. If not, then I'll end up smashing a few characteristics together and label the species unspecified.

Needlefish!

Some species are mistakenly referred to as gars, as they share some resemblance: both kinds of fish are very long, narrow and have sharp teeth! However, they're not closely related species. Funnily enough, the name "gar" has its origins from garfish, a species of needlefish!

My sister and I went snorkeling in Hananuma Bay Hawaii a couple of years ago. I started this illustration of all the fish we saw back in 2018, and then life happened and I never finished it... until today. I had fun researching all the species for this.

Managed to catch a Needlefish by hand! Tore up my hand a bit from the super sharp teeth but it was so worth it. Look how shiny this beautiful fish is! 🐟✨
