One of my favorite modern gaming trends is creating spiritual successors to certain games because the original dev/publisher doesn’t seem to give a crap. And I think most of the time it has been a success, kinda like with Bloodstained. And of course sometimes ahem, less than a success like Might no. 9.
But I just saw a really cool looking game called Negative Atmosphere which is just Dead Space, it isn’t even trying to hide it. And it doesn’t need to because EA apparently doesn’t care about that franchise so someone has to step in and fill that hole in our hearts! And the teaser looked good. The monster design was beyond amazing, I really loved the way that thing looked and the atmosphere seems on point. Some people complain about the VA, but I thought it was fine. Maybe a bit over the top, but nothing too offensive.
I hope the game ends up being good! Dead Space 1 and 2 are great games. I still have fond memories of playing the second game when it released. Dead Space 3 went downhill and I never cared to play it beyond the first few hours.
