Listen.....I'm not saying I'm a whore for anime characters but
Guys, guys, guys!!!!
I've been watching Treadstone (well writing fics while it plays in the background) and I have fallen in love with Nolan Navelle played by Set Sjöstrand.
He is so tall, there's a scene in Episode 8, when he's standing next to the character Tara Coleman when she goes to see him and the size and height difference has me weak!!!!!!!
I tried to screenshot it but my Mac won't let me live so go see it yourselves.
Writer’s Month 2020: Day Ten
The door to the house slid open with a soft hiss, permitting the new family of three to enter. Reanden had his hands full, letting Airna lean on one arm as she gingerly made her way inside, and carrying the well-padded transport cradle with their new daughter in it in his other hand. “How are you feeling?” he asked, not bothering to hide the worry in his eyes as he watched his wife.
“Great, for having just pushed out six pounds and ten ounces.” With a relieved sigh, Airna sank into the couch, closing her eyes for a moment. “Ow. You’re having the next one.”
Reanden didn’t answer that, already mentally planning for Xaja to be an only child if that were the case. He carefully set the cradle down on the caf table, pushing back the shade to check on the newborn. To his surprise, Xaja was awake and blearily staring at her new surroundings. “Hello, baby girl,” he murmured, smiling as he gently touched one plump cheek, then started unbuckling her from the seat. “You’re already going to be a good traveller, aren’t you?”
“Not so much as a peep on the ride home.” Airna shifted on the couch, shaking her head fondly. “She must have only just woken up.”
“Must have.” With hands that still weren’t used to handling the most fragile and precious of burdens, Reanden carefully lifted the baby out of her cradle, along with the soft blanket she’d been wrapped in. The green fabric, covered in the most cartoonishly drawn ash-bunnies he’d ever seen, had been a gift from Marcus -- and he decided the drawings were kinda cute, although not nearly as adorable as the baby he was holding. “Welcome home, sweetheart,” he murmured as he carefully gathered Xaja to his chest. She seemed to like being held against his beating heart, and yawned in contentment.
“Yeah, I know, speeder rides are so exhausting, aren’t they?” Reanden left a kiss on the mop of fuzzy red hair, then looked over as he sensed Airna staring at them. “What?”
The Green Jedi just smiled and shook her head, her eyes fond. “Remember all that bitching and complaining you were doing before she arrived? About not knowing how to be a dad or anything about little girls?”
“Yes, and it’s all still true.”
“Banthashit.” Airna grinned. “Being a daddy is a good look on you, and you look like you’re doing it just fine.”
Reanden snorted in disagreement, and quickly looked down as Xaja whimpered. “Sorry, baby girl -- guess you didn’t like that much, did you?”
Xaja squirmed a little bit, then seemed to settle back down as her father gently rubbed her back, with a hand large enough to almost completely cover her back.
“I rest my case.” Airna smirked as she carefully drew her feet up onto the couch, groaning as she laid back down. “You’re a good dad already.”
“I’ve only been a dad for forty--” Reanden glanced at the chronometer. “Forty-nine hours. I haven’t had time to spectacularly kriff up yet.”
“Forty-nine hours is plenty of time for you to kark up, and you still haven’t.” With a jaw-cracking yawn, Airna’s eyes drifted closed again. “I think you’re gonna be a good dad for her. And she thinks so too.”
“Airna, she’s two days old.”
“And you know she cries if anyone but us is holding her. She knows us -- knows you. And she likes being held by you the most.”
Reanden had no comeback to that. Instead, he sat down facing Airna and drew the ash-bunny blanket further up, tucking Xaja back in. “You are gonna be like your mama, aren’t you?” he murmured. “Smart and clever… and stubborn.”
“‘s the Corellian genes.”
That almost got another snort out of Reanden, this one of amusement -- he caught himself just in time before he could disturb the baby nestled against his chest. “First rule, baby girl,” he quietly said as Xaja squirmed slightly. “Whatever it is, your mama is almost always right.”
Across the room, one green eye opened under an incredulously-raised eyebrow. “Almost?”
“Where’s that Jedi humility you keep going on about?”
Airna flipped him off, but seemed too tired to make any other retort. Giving birth was an exhausting ordeal that she still needed to recover from. Smirking, Reanden turned his attention back to the drowsy baby in his arms. “Like, ninety percent of the time, your mama is right.” He sighed and settled in to cuddle his little daughter while his wife got some much-needed sleep. “The rest of the rules… we’ll figure them out later.” Adjusting the blanket again to make sure Xaja was completely comfortable, he settled in, lowly humming an old Lavisarian tune. Maybe Airna was right, and he wasn’t completely hopeless at this whole ‘daddy’ thing...
EXO'S Chen and wife welcomed 29.04 a baby girl!
Congrats 🐣😇
March Madness - Day 31
Name
Such a little thing.
The blue of his eyes was fading into what would likely be a yellowed brown to match his mother’s, but the baby in Dermot’s arms was definitely of his blood. He looked like Bryland had when he was newly born, all pudgy arms and serious eyes, sucking on his fingers as he stared up at the Grey Warden who held him close.
Dermot could hardly believe it. Morrigan had been so sure she would conceive, and indeed, his own survival after landing the blow that killed the archdemon had confirmed the effectiveness of the ritual, but he had not truly believed that he was a father. Not even when Morrigan had sent him a message, inviting him to come and see the child. Not until this moment, when he held his son in his arms for the first time, enchanted by the solemn gaze that stared up at him.
He could hear Zevran and Morrigan conversing nearby, but could not tear his eyes from the little fellow. This lad, despite the Old God soul residing within him, was a Cousland. He was Dermot’s legacy to the world, the child Dermot had longed for yet never truly believed he would have.
You will know me, he promised the baby boy in the silence of his mind. You will never know terror as I have done, as your mother has done. You will know you are loved by your father, even if your mother never learns to feel it. I will make sure you know you are a part of more than just us.
In his arms, the baby gurgled, flailing his fists for a moment before settling down, smacking his lips. Dermot felt a part of his heart melt, glancing up at his lover, at the mother of his son. Zevran’s expression was impossibly soft, and Dermot knew that this little boy would have a doting uncle as well as a loving father.
“What did you call him?” he asked, his voice quiet in the stillness as he sought Morrigan’s gaze.
The former Witch of the Wilds smiled her mysterious smile, looking down at the baby in Dermot’s arms.
“His name is Kieran,” she said softly. “Your sister stated ‘twas a name you are fond of.”
Dermot felt the prickling behind his eyes, the odd burning sensation that betrayed tears not far behind. It had been a year since the Blight had ended, but he was not forgotten. His name would live on, but it was not fame he desired. It was peace. Peace upon all the world, that future generations would never need to know hunger or fear.
Peace for his son, Kieran.
I HAVE A NEW DADDY! ❤ I know it seems quick, however, my last relationship was only for a month and I had a good two weeks of healing. In the end basically thinking "F**k you @$$hole!" My Daddy and I were internet friends before we became an item. He was so supportive, comforting and loving after the ending of my last relationship. I don't know where I would be without him being my rock in it all. He makes me so happy and I hope he stays longer than the last @$$hole did. I couldn't believe it when I found out he liked me as well! We are the tale that opposites attracts and I love it! ❤ He was totally cool about taking things slower and we offically became an item on the 6th of July 2017. I am soooooooooo happy! He always knows how to cheer me up and put a smile on my dial.
