I am watching the Jannik Sinner Q&A and I had some thoughts:

What inspired you to play tennis? He's a Leo. That answer was a Leo answer. I could have ghostwritten that. The logistics of skiing wasn't comfy and he was not about that life. He was winning everything in skiing but was a loser at tennis. Fucking Leos are the same everywhere aren't they? We have a competency kink and we want things that need to be conquered and seem impossible and unattainable. As Tony Robbins said, "You don't feel good when you do something easy." I know WHO YOU ARE JANNIK SINNER. It's been like 30 seconds. Anyways, next questions.

How many hours do you sleep? He aims for 9 hours. I think Usain Bolt and Federer use sleep as a huge part of their regimen, something like 10-11 hours minimum plus strategic naps. Sleep is so important, I would say it's the second most important thing after diet.

How many times have you failed your motorbike licence? Question from Dad Darren. Three times. Lol. Oh god he's so cute I'm going to die.

Which shoe do you tie first? The right one. Because he's not a psychopath.

Favourite Fruit? Who asked him this. Ask him his favourite song. Does he know My Chemical Romance. Anyway, it's Mango. I will say nothing.....

Do you have a pre-match ritual? He uses the same bathroom lol. Silly goose.

Most used emoji on your phone? The laughing one. See, I know he's not really laughing. He's just amused haha. Like when you LOL but you're not laughing out loud. Oh he said he laughs to himself. What a loser. I love him.

Music, podcast or silence? Music. Does anyone else turn music down when they're trying to navigate a really difficult merge lol. Or just me.

What's your long term goal as a person and in tennis? In tennis, it's to win and enjoy it as much as he can (PR answer, good job Jannik, it sounded so natural). As a person, he wants to grow up "in a good way", embrace YOLO and not let success change him as a person.

In golf, do you have a handicap? He shoots around 30 which "is pretty bad". I don't know what that means. If he's bad at it, it means he'll grind and conquer it one day.

Golfing or carting? Carting. Why are we asking obvious questions. He has a Ferrari collection and plays terrible golf. These are not fan questions!

Oh training montage. Oh he's so tall, why am I surprised every single time I see him amongst mere mortals. I just go, Wow look at the tall demigod. Anyways, was the shirtless training session a necessary inclusion here? Obviously yes. Oh he's in a pool. That's a nice pool.

What does success mean to you? Not his golfing abilities. It means he can choose what he wants to do and have a good result with it, whilst being healthy.

Unpack suitcase or live out of it? Live out of it.

Sweet or salty? Sweet. Knew it.

Language you wish you spoke fluently? Spanish. Or French. Okay Jannik. Okay. It's because it's so widely spoken right? A handy language to know. In general. Yes. Moving on.

Something about a cruise. I wasn’t paying attention.

What advice would you give to a junior tennis player? You have to sacrifice and love the sport. He's saying a lot more words and it's sage wisdom but I confess I'm looking at his freckles and hair here sorry I don't remember the rest.

If you weren't playing tennis, what would you realistically be doing right now? Working with his dad. You know what? I can see it.

What has been the happiest moment in your career so far? When he reached number 1 in 2024 and winning Wimby 2025.
