I'm in the process of nailing down some solid comic designs for Nicholi (the scarecrow) and Sarah (sorceress) (they need updates since these drawings are old)

But Cliffe, the pumpkin demon hasn't changed much! Aha can't wait for ya'll to meet all three.😈🎃✨️

@ygoc-week Day One: Introductions

Haha I'm over 24 hours late but whatever, I'm gonna spend this whole week behind probably.

First character: Mira Atlas. Scoopshipping fankid, around 20-ish at time of Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal because I'm nuts and have 5Ds and Zexal much close together than most people

Mira was born in Neo Domino to parents Carly and Jack (as kinda stated), has an older brother I don't talk about much cause he doesn't even have a name lol. Jack died when she was very young in an incident or something, and not terribly long after they ended up moving to Heartland.

Mira's pretty loud and boisterous and fiercely loyal to her friends. She really likes bugs also. Turbo Duelist which is not popular in Heartland really but she tries.

Second:

Taylor Quark, about a year younger than Mira and Nicholi. Born and raised in Heartland, parents divorced, only child. Plays fan-made archetype which I'll dump some explanation of in the future.

Pretty big case of motor mouth. She plays herself off as someone who's not very smart but if you get her talking about physics/math/mechanics that facade can break pretty instantaneously. Kinda lacks and understanding of social norms. Frequently guilty of unauthorized borrow.

Met Mira and Nicholi in middle school.

Finally Nicholi still doesn't have a last name.

The designated Adult of the friend group lol. Soft-spoken but has his social graces and pretty good at getting on with others. Only one of the three with any respect for rules, is probably the only reason Mira and Taylor aren't in jail.

Older brother to a sibling about 5 years younger, owner of two dogs. Known Mira since very soon after she moved to Heartland, have been very close ever since

Hi there! I just wanna say that I find it so idiotic that the MPs are treating non-jailed Marleyans like slaves. They're repeating the cycle instead of breaking it, and it's pissing me off. In light of that, do you think the wine that Nikolo gave to the Marleyan to serve the MPs is possibly poisonous? Thanks!

Yeah, it’s terrible. He doesn’t even call the waiter by name. It’s “Hey Marleyan!” 

Luckily Rogue, yes that’s his official name, is the only person at the table being an idiot. He’s the only one drinking wine as well. So if the wine is poison or better yet, contains Zeke’s spinal fluid as many suspect, Nile and the others will be fine.

I really love the theory that the wine is infected with Zeke’s spinal fluid. On it’s own, the fluid is harmless. It’s only activated if Zeke screams. It makes sense to me that the Marleyans on Paradis could be subversively fighting back in this way.

OC Tober Day 2 - Education

Today's prompt used was from @oc-tober2023's list! my yugioh ocs when they were in middle school.

Got bored and decided to a bit of height math for some of my OCs:

Mira is approximately 1.25x as tall as Nicholi. Taylor is approximately 1.13x as tall as Nicholi. This means that if Nicholi is 5'00" Mira is about 6'3" and Taylor is about 5'8". Nicholi. This has Taylor a bit taller than I had in mind, but not unreasonably so, so I might commit this as their canon heights. It does mean Nicholi is fucking tiny but if I made him any less tiny than Taylor will get closer to six foot than I think she should be. I might actually make him an inch or two smaller to put Taylor closer to average height. Idk.

Taylor's deck is, as previously mentioned, the custom Archetype Ne ON. It's a LIGHT attribute archetype that's mostly reptile-types though there are a couple others mixed in. The Ne ON archetype has two sub-archetypes, Ne ON Wyvern (which encompasses primarily the main deck's level 4 monsters and two extra deck monsters) and Noble Ne ON (which is all extra deck monsters).

Most Ne ON cards have an effect to discard other cards and an effect upon being sent from the hand to the graveyard. Gonna go over a few of them

Noble Ne ON Wyvern

Rank 4, LIGHT, Reptile/Xyz/Effect

2 level 4 LIGHT monsters

Once per turn: you can detach on Xyz Material from this card, then reveal the top card of your deck. If it is a LIGHT monster, add it to your hand and this monster can make a second attack in the battle phase; if not, place the card on the bottom of your deck.

2100 ATK/1600 DEF

Field Spell

Level 6 LIGHT monsters can be normal summoned without tributing. Each time a card is discarded, place one counter on this card; all "Ne ON" monsters gain 100 ATK for each counter on this card.

Ne On Basilisk

Lvl 6, LIGHT, Reptile/Effect

When a monster your opponent controls declares a direct attack (quick effect): You can discard this card; the attacking monster has its effects negated and cannot attack or change battle positions. If this card is sent from the hand to the graveyard, except by its own effect, you can banish it and pay half your life points, destroy all cards on the field, then deal 500 damage to each player for each card they controlled that was destroyed.

2700 ATK/2000 DEF

I'm not going over every single card in the archetype of course, but hopefully that gives the just.

Onto Mira and Nicholi which is gonna be shorter. Mira's is a mainly "Lady of Lament" deck, with a few other cards, some Resonators, Transcicada, and Fairyant the Circular Sorcerer. Is it a cohesive deck? I don't know. I also don't care because anime rules I can pretend it works.

For Nicholi, I'm not 100% sure what I want to him to be play in my head. I think Laval or Nephthys, I like the idea of him running a more ritual or fusion oriented deck but I also want him to do FIRE attributes maybe. Maybe he'll also get a custom archetype for that idk.
