The great thing about Pierrot from tfc (aka a lot of fictional monster guys) is that, even though they're supposedly inhumane, they're gentle and understanding.
Everyone knows that dark heavy feeling in your chest on a bad day - a day where you wish you would never have to get up again.
I like to think of Pierrot as someone who would lay there with you, no pressure to talk about it and no feelings of guilt for taking up his space/time.
Letting you feel your feelings but just not alone, yk?
But not in a 'comfort-out-of-pity' way, just in an 'i-get-it-and-you're-not-alone' way.
Nowadays there's so little of that, it's all just coming from a place of pity and selfishness. You almost feel guilty by talking to others about your problems, since it's so clear they prolly only care bc you wouldn't be useful to them anymore by being depressed.
I don't think monster guys really pity anyone - which makes the comfort actually honest.
When did fictional monsters become so much more humane than actual humans?
