[ID: On a purple tinted black square orange words read, “The ghost in my phone has a melodic voice, consonants punctuated by excitement, vowels lilting and dreamy. I could listen to their electrostatic murmurs all day. Sometimes they leave little messages for me in my voice memos. Sometimes I write little messages for them in my notes app. It’s a nice way to break up the hours, to know I’m not alone.”

Okay, so I just spent the past 14 hours working on a controlled fire burning operation. So my prompt word is 'Wildfire'. Can't wait to read all your wonderful galladrabbles
Lily! Thank you so much for submitting your prompt. Not gonna lie, your message now made me think you alone are cooler than all of the rest of us put together!
You read it here, Galladrabbles Crew: Our prompt this week is:
WILDFIRE.
May the flame of creativity burn bright for all of us!
🔥🔥🔥
I totally second Lily's words: Can't wait to read what you/we will come up with!
Excited for this year! I only did a few prompts in 2020. I only have one question - on the 15th, why bees?
Hi! I'm very glad you're excited! In answer to your question - why not bees? They're great for our ecosystem, they're a wonderful sign that summer is here, their stings can be very had for our poor whumpees. Evil technology which is going to hurt our whumpees can be shaped like bees...a whumpee can be in so much pain that it feels like hundreds of bee stings all over their body.
Just ask Nicholas Cage in Wicker Man - bees can be our friends, or they can cause a lot of pain!

In all honesty, it was his own fault he got caught. Jasmine told him not to fly, not even on dark nights after the lights of every street had dimmed. Wy'ran knew perfectly well that it wasn’t safe but he couldn’t stop himself.
His wings ached from lack of use, almost as bad as when they were broken and healing.
Midnight had meowed at him, almost reproachfully as he snuck away. He'd given her a little scritch on the cheek but she didn't seem mollified.
Maybe she was hungry.
There were no stars here, he thought as he ascended, the wind finally, blissfully beneath his wings once more. Jasmine told him the stars weren't gone, but humans had made so much light of their own it got in the way of the stars.
He missed them.
He missed lots of things about home, and not for the first time, he considered going back. It hadn't been that long since he left.
Long enough for his wings to break and heal but not so long in the life of a fae.
Long enough for him to have found a friend in the human.
He knew her name was Jasmine but she didn't know he knew. He could compel her if he had her name, so she never gave it. She'd started to get sloppy though, and hadn't removed her name tag from a stray lab coat one night.
He'd murmured it to himself the whole next day, but he took care never to use it before her.
He would never compel a friend, one who had trusted him and saved his life.
She'd asked for what to call him eventually, and he'd written his own name. Risky, but he trusted her. It hadn’t really mattered, because she'd glanced at it and deemed his 'human' name Warren.
He'd accepted it, it was close to his name, but not quite. Close, but safe.
He'd closed his eyes for just a second, just to savor the air that wasn't dead but tasted like rain and wind and sky, and when he opened them, he realized he had gone too far.
He didn't know where he was, couldn't find his way back to Jasmine and her house and Midnight-
And there were people staring up at him.
He was searching for something familiar, but his eyes were attuned to forest, not buildings and there were no directions in the sky.
He knew it would be safer to stay flying but he was well and truly lost, and he'd already been seen, so what was the harm? He knew he shouldn’t but he wanted to ask the humans to help, to return him back to his friend and her home.
In the end, the decision was made for him.
He felt a tiny prick, like the sting of a bug bite, and he'd swatted at his neck but the bug wouldn't dislodge and he couldn't stay aloft.
He tumbled onto a roof, knocking aside shingles as he swayed, fighting to stay awake.
Lights and colors and distinctly human faces swum before him, dimming, changing color and morphing into one another.
They were crowding him, swarming him and he tried to swat them away but his talons came up empty. He tried again with another but he was met with only air.
His vision was fading, and in his panic, he fell.
The last thing he was aware of was an unfamiliar voice saying, "Well, this is gonna suck," and then nothing at all.
The Boy who Ran: Chapter 2
Whumptober prompt 15: Magical Healing
Fandom: The Witcher
Pairing: Geralt/ Jaskier
TW: Injuries (no detailed description)
part 1
Leaving the Feywilds had been scary. Jaskier has had a rough start back in the human world. After spending who knew how much time with the Fae - eating their food, singing their magic-filled songs, living carefree amidst the chaos that swirled through their realm– it had been strange to come back to a world where everything could be a threat. It had been scary, intimidating and oh so exiting.
Eventually, Jaskier had found his footing in the human world. Or rather, he had found Geralt of Rivia, who dragged him back to his feet when he misstepped. The witcher always did so with an annoyed grunt, with threats that the next time he would leave Jaskier to deal with the consequences of his actions alone.

“Does it hurt?”
“Not anymore…” Gen places his hand against Senku’s. “It’s more embarrassing now.”
