I’m trying to let go of the idea that my gender expression needs to always read as 100% the gender/terms I identify best with. I can still stand up for myself and want the correct words to be used for me. But I’m learning that anyone who really truly wants to misgender me on purpose will do so no matter my expression. My expression is for me, and not for the people who want to judge and misgender me. I need to stop putting limits on myself out of a desire to please others. I choose what’s comfortable. If that means I still dress somewhat gender non-conforming, that is okay.

there is no one way to be non-binary.
