For the longest time, I couldn’t swallow pills. It wasn’t until about 3 years ago that I gained the skill to swallow pills.

Some people never learn to swallow pills. Some people do. I’m very lucky that I did learn how to swallow pills. The process of having liquid medicine, chewable medicine, and hand grinding medicine, is not only a lot of work, but difficult. I constantly had people assume that I was doing it on purpose. That I was just being difficult, that I was just being dramatic. Of course, none of this was the cause of me not being able to swallow pills.

Even now and again, I have days where I can’t swallow pills at all, but most days I’m good about it. Most days, I have to physically push the pills into the back of my throat, hope I don’t gag on them, and wash it down with a ton of water. I’m getting better everyday though.

Some days are better, some days are worse, some days are just ok. I have no idea why I can’t swallow pills right, but I suspect it’s probably due to my dyspraxia.

It’s not commonly talked about, and I think a lot of people get embarrassed about not being able to swallow pills. It’s completely normal, and pretty common, and I believe more people should talk about it.

The ancient Egyptian religion has a huge amount of incest in it, with most of the major gods being in a relationship with their sibling. Their religion was also an arm of the state, and priests were highly revered. This religion permeated their entire lives and social order. However, the only incestuous relationships that were sanctioned were marriages between half-siblings in the royal family. Common folk and normal nobles wouldn't marry their family.

They believed that the literal gods that created the whole world and governed the afterlife were in incestuous relationships, and their society still didn't have normalized incest. Unless a fic has started a nationwide religion, problematic fiction is not being normalized in the slightest.
