Oc Inspiration: 🩸Scylla Aepel 🔪

Rules: Share your OC and two characters from other media that influenced them the most; Well in Scylla’s case it is more than two. Dividers by @animatedglittergraphics-n-more ✨✨.

Quotes about her: “The cunning, murderous slasher, the killer with the bad reputation; with insatiable lust for blood and stabbing, presumably assumed to be a man due to her senseless violence and her brtual crimes.”

First inspiration for Scylla is Katarina Du Couteau from league of legends (personality, abilities and usage of daggers).

The second inspiration is definitely Mileena from MK (because she is a clone, and Mileena is a clone of Kitana) but here is the difference between the two. Scylla is a cunning, clever badass bitch; she won’t let anyone manipulate her and take advantage of her. The second thing is: that Aliyaa accepted her as a sister; solely for two reasons: Aliyaa wanted a sister, and the second is she cannot be killed. So, Aliyaa is smart enough to not earn an enemy that cannot be killed and could easily be eliminated if she wanted.

The third inspiration for Scylla Aepel is Dren from: Splice Sci-Fi movie. Shortly, It talks about two engineering scientists who created a creature; a mutant created of both Human and Animal DNA; Just like Scylla. She too was created from animal blood, DNA and stuff, and Aliyaa’s blood and DNA. (Hair included) for Dren, Her mother never wanted a normal child (if memory serves) so she and her husband created Dren. And Scylla’s parents (the scientist) Welma and Fred wanted a strong daughter to protect them and keep them safe; so they can continue their ‘reaserches’ without worrying. Originally, They wanted to clone the Light one but he left for another realm (for reasons) so the only strongest aspect who left was Aliyaa (The aspect of Darkness) so they stole her blood and a handful of her hair. And created Scylla. She too, has an animalistic side of her. Later, she developed shark gills to breathe underwater, and she can roar like an Lion, Cheetah too. So yeah, Scylla and Dren share the same backstory but with differences.

The third inspiration is Scylla from Greek Mythology (her name and her murderous, evil nature) but no, she doesn’t have sea-creature appearance, just the name. Later, the the help of Aliyaa; Scylla learned compassion, mercy and understanding. Slowly, she started to turn on a new leaf.

The fourth inspiration is Jason Vorhees; her favourite Slasher villian. She share his love for stabbing and killing people; thus, people dubbed her the Notorious Slasher.

The last inspiration for Scylla is Tiffany Valentine from Chucky series, she too likes to kill people (lol, but for Scylla: she use a dagger and a knife. not a nail file) Attracted to killers.

Wow, two posts in a row! I just wanted to show my progress. It's officially been a year since I started my current sketchbook [September 15th, I know, a little late]. So I thought I'd show how I improved since then<3

Hi! I wanna show the evolution of one of my OC’s over probably years. I just finished the latest redesign of him, and I think I’m finally happy with it after a while, though their may be slight changes later.

For some general back story, he was bullied in middle school for being ugly and overweight, as well as dressing differently aka in a more feminine manner. After one especially violent run in with his bullies where they bashed his head into a wall and gave him a concussion, he stopped going to school. He stopped eating much, went to the gym, and threw away a lot of his clothes. Now in high school, he appears to be better, and more confident, but he still secretly struggles with his relationship with food and self confidence out of fear of things going back to the way they were.

This was my first ever drawing of him. Originally he was supposed to be a one off drawing, but I ended up liking him. Tbh looking at my old drawings embarrasses me a little, but it’s also nice to show how far his design has come.

Next is another drawing of him, his design a bit more fleshed out. I remember really liking this drawing after making it. I hadn’t yet come up with a backstory for him yet, so he was more of a rule of cool dress up doll at the moment. Also this pose might be based off of a Jojo pose, specifically one from Rohan (Rohan is amazing ♥️).

Next is my first redesign attempt 😅 The clothes are ok, but there are a lot of issues I found with how I drew him. The biggest one was that I didn’t flip the canvas so he looks a bit misshapen. Then his eyes also look a bit wrong. I also disliked the shape of his head. By now I knew what his backstory would be for the most part, hence his scars and love for accessories, but he still ended up looking off. After a bit I knew I needed to try again, but I was kinda stumped on what to do with his design for a while until…

Ta-da! He definitely gives off the vibes he’s meant to now. He’s the type of person you can’t help but love even if he can be really annoying at times, and may seem scary at first. Definitely gives off ratty vibes. I took a few things from his old redesign. He still likes accessories and still has scars from the concussion. I may do more for accessories in later drawings since I feel he’s the time to wear an excessive amount. Also, I can’t seem to find a name for him, though I have a few loose ideas. I feel it should give off pixie or fairy vibes or something. But overall, here’s my ball of joy and hidden insecurity! (He just like me and my sister fr fr)
