Started reading the Wikipedia page for Orcas (research for Living Void) and found out that
1) Orcas have dialects and accents?
2) There is strong evidence to say that they engage in social behaviors purely for fun/friendship. They can make friends
3) there was apparently a fad (at least in certain pods/clans) of wearing dead salmon as a hat?? Purely for the sake of wearing a Salmon Hat. There is a whole wiki page for Salmon Hat. And the fad keeps coming back and fading back out. Orcas have fashion trends
thresher sharks are the coolest type of shark and i think everyone just needs to be honest with themselves and admit it’s the truth 😤😤😤
they can reach up to 22mph and
they have tails that make up half their length and act as whips, stunning and circling up their prey for a quick and easy lunch :)
they can do it to whole schools!!
they usually chill at around 550 meters, but have been recorded at 1500 making them some of the deepest divers
they can regulate their body temperature! so they can go in waters of almost any temperature!
i wish i could do that 🥲
and the name thresher is another word for scythe, which is a reference to their very cool tail! plus just look at their face. beautiful.
if you’re interested in this tiny original painting of a thresher shark, you have the opportunity to buy him until the 11th.

Just discovered Greenland Sharks and they don't look right. They don't look like they should be alive. They look moldy or something. Or dead. They look like if someone found a rock and went "hey this rock kind of looks like a shark."
Apparently some people don't know that this is not what a blob fish looks like???
Like you guys know this is not what they look like normally right??? This is when they are caught and brought to the water surface because it doesn't have the normal amount of pressure on it, it deflates into this blobby mess. It only looks like this when it is dead or dying.
It actually looks like this:
Where did the idea come from that the first picture was it in it's normal state???
