summary: Uraraka’s eyes slowly blink open again, taking a few seconds before she spots Eijirou watching her and sits up slightly, leaning against the backrest and fixing her bangs.
“What’cha lookin’ at?” she murmurs, voice rough.
Eijirou blinks slowly. “We’re the only ones still awake.”

RAREPAIR MONTH DAY 18: DREAMS
kiriocha for a mutual on twitter who talks about it a lot!
DAY ONE - PROMPT ONE - “IN BED”
[Ochako x Eijirou]
yeah that’s right i did all three of them!!
Rare were those moments where both Ochako and Eijirou were home in their small shared apartment with no dishes to wash, no laundry to do and no rooms to tidy. Even when they were both home at the same time, it was unusual for them to both be awake, given the nature of their schedules. They were offset by several hours, making it difficult for Ochako to be awake to see Eijirou off in the morning if she wanted to be well rested for her own job.
It wasn’t as bad as some of their friends, who had not only opposing schedules with their partners but didn’t share apartments either. But still, they had plenty of reason to treasure the time that was spent in each other’s company with no urgent needs except those they created themselves.
This one particular morning, before the sun had even fully risen, Ochako lay on her back, surrounded by their half a dozen pillows, with Eijirou sprawled over her. His cheek rested just below her collarbone. His arm over her with his hand tangled with hers. The rest of his body was stretched out, his bare chest pressed against the thin cloth of her tank top and his hips between her thighs. He had his feet up, kicking back and forth slowly.
Ochako had her other hand in his hair, combing her fingers through the slightly damp locks, curling it around her fingers gently. “You wanna do anything today?” she asked while looking up at the ceiling. There was a crack there that she was pretty familiar with. Eijirou had teased about putting a mirror up to cover it, but she had said their landlord wouldn’t have liked the holes.
“I already did what I wanted to do,” Eijirou said. Ochako could hear the smugness in his voice and tugged on his hair. “Ouch! Why do I have to think of something to do? Maybe this is all I want to do today?”
“We can’t eat in bed,” Ochako said.
“At least not food.”
Ochako rolled her eyes. She ran her hand deep into his hair and got a fistfull of it. Tugging it back, she looked down at him as his chin lifted up. “I’m being serious, Eijirou.”
“I am too,” he said with a grin. He squeezed her hand in his own before letting go so he could rub her arm instead. “If we stay in bed we won’t make any messes we’ll have to clean up later, unless you wanted to go out today. We could do that, but I thought you wanted to save our money for that trip.”
Ochako eased her grip, petting Eijirou’s hair again gently. “Is this really okay? You’re not even saying anything. You’re not bored?”
Eijirou’s grin faded away. He pushed himself up and crawled up so he could litter Ochako’s cheek and neck with little kisses. “I’m okay,” he said quietly, “I just want to spend time with you. We’ll do whatever you want today. If you want to go out, we’ll go out. If you want to stay home, we’ll stay home.”
Ochako caught up Eijirou’s cheeks in both hands and kissed him, hard. He grinned again, kissing back until he was pressing her down into the pillows again. Ochako laughed, soft and happy, as he kissed down her throat and to her shoulder. “I love you, Eijirou,” she said quietly.
“Really?” Eijirou said, “That’s great, because I love you too.”
Ochako laughed louder and playfully swat at his shoulder. “Just this once,” she said, “we can order takeout and eat in bed. Okay?”
“Just this once,” he said solemnly. The sparkle in his eyes belied his seriousness, however. Ochako stuck her tongue out at him.
Eijirou laughed and went back to kissing her shoulders, giddy with happiness and unafraid to show it.
