me: this cat’s original japanese name (Urashimanyan) is a reference to a very famous japanese fairytale about a fisherman who is taken to an underwater palace. it’s p cool they tried to preserve this idea in english by localizing his name to a reference to the Odyssey, which is also a famous tale about a man encountering fantastic sights while traveling on the sea
