Ofmd s3 speculation/imagination
The scene opens on a view of Stede & Ed’s inn. It is bright in the morning and they’ve just woken up, ready for a new day ahead of them.
Now, the camera is inside their bedroom.
Ah, the sound of seagulls and… muffled screaming?
They clamber over each other to see through the window at their side.
They peek through it, their noses barely showing above the windowsill.
Ed is probably wearing his hair up, and maybe Stede’s either his fancy stuff or some old clothes.
They see a seagull (yes, it’s BUTTONS!) take off from Izzy’s grave, flapping off screen.
Cut to the perspective of a camera on the ground, maybe on the gravestone.
They’re carrying a shovel, and Stede asks if they should really dig him up. Ed reasons that Izzy couldn’t really protest if he was dead, and that it can’t be worse than what they’ve already seen.
Stede follows his lead to dig.
Cut to black, then they finally unearth his face.
It is not rotting, just very still.
Stede asks quietly if he’s really dead.
Izzy stirs, making both of them jump.
One of them asks if he’s all right.
He looks at them, perpetually a bit annoyed.
They both sigh in relief and say he’s fine.
They then have to help Izzy out of the grave, because he doesn’t have his leg. He’s ranting about being buried on land and how upset he was at them for not even giving them his leg in death.
Maybe he gets his old one, maybe Stede & Ed go on an adventure to get him a new one.
Either way, they now have an Izzy in their hands, and they don’t know what to do with him.
The episode shows them trying to get him back on the Revenge (2).
Also other fun things, but that would be the part I’m the most excited about.
