I think that the Jägers are infertile.

1) Oggie is the only one we hear of having descendants, and he is proud of it.

2) it is easy for us to forget that the Jägers were the bad guys for a long, long time. I doubt the Old Hetrodynes would have thought to stop them from doing more than pillage.

2b) "Son of a Jäger" has not come up a fun way to call someone a bastard.
