Someone said that Raphael only cares about Simon when it is for his own gain. He helps Simon because he thinks he may gain his trust and will tell Raphael how he became a Daylighter. I don't think that is true, but I could see the writers doing that.

95% of the fandom hates Raphael and I can totally see them saying shit like this so let’s review shall we:

- What did Raphael gain from making sure that Camille didn’t kill Simon the first time at the DuMort? Absolutely nothing, more headache if you ask me cause he had to look out for Simon again and again

-What did Raphael gain from carrying Simon’s dead body to the institute not one friggin thing, he gain his position as leader with Simon’s death yes because the clan found out she was breaking the accords but he could have just dumped Simon’s body.

- What did Raphael gain from training Simon and giving him his clothes, betrayed is what he got.

-what did Raphael gain from showing up to Simon’s house takin blood to him and encantoing his mother and sister?
