Olympic Lifting Class

Today I went to my first Olympic lifting class! And wow, it was awesome! I decided to go tonight to work on my form and gain more confidence with weight. I already have complete trust in the coach and did not question his suggestions. I PRed everything! Not that it means much because I never did much Olympic lifts in the past... But it definitely gave me some courage. Snatch - 60lbs max (after about 5 sets) Clean - 65lbs max (5 sets) Front squats - 75lbs (4 sets) Can't wait to see more results! Mobility will be key

"The Chief"

Max rounds in 3 minutes of:

135/95 pound Power cleans, 3 reps

6 Push-ups

9 Squats

1 minute rest, 5 sets.

I finished 3 rounds in each set doing 75# power cleans. I was dripping with sweat and had to lay on the ground at the end of it, but overall it felt good! 

We also did a 10 min EMOM of push press, push jerk, and split jerk. I did it with 65# to start and then worked up to 75#. 

In OLY class we worked on snatches. Since my shoulders have been bothering me, Coach Sara had me doing slightly lower weight. I was doing 60# snatches at the end.
