I hope someday you'll understand that everything I did, it was meant for you, every small action, every small talk.

i saw you laughing with the girl you liked and our eyes met and you winked at me and i gave you back a smile and then left later that day you asked me if i was alright and you apologised for not giving me enough time i told you it was fine you said i know you’re happy for me, i can tell you are and i smiled and nodded and thought to myself to never again fall in love with your best friend to never again hope against all hope that the feelings would be reciprocated to pack my bags and walk away but i hugged you instead and told you i hope she loves you because you deserve it and you smiled your goofy little smile
