Live At The National Theatre: The Slapping Game

We have a reunion story that we’d like to share with you all about the woman named Fleur aka Jeff that will always be famously known for slapping some sense into Paul in the LATN concert film- but for the sake of keeping this post short physically, I’m going to add a ‘Keep Reading’- you better fucking keep reading though!

Earlier this weekend, our fellow jokie friend @quirkygirl12345 posted onto the DAAS Facebook fanclub page, asking for some stories about how everyone had found the boys, and it was very interesting to see all the different stories from people of all different ages, across both the country and the greater globe. I had been replying to a few different people’s stories that interested me, but one story just seemed to stand out from the crowd.

There was a man named Stu that was claiming to have been caught red handed, on camera, sitting in the very front row at the show for the filming of Live At The National Theatre, so naturally I decided to probe him about it. Sure enough- he had actually been sitting 2 seats down from the girl perpetually known to the fandom as ‘Jeff’, because she was attacked by the boys for slapping a certain short-ass during the performance.

I thought it was just a nice story about a good stroke of luck in scoring tickets to such a moment in DAAS history as their first concert film- until I told @silo24 about it on Twitter. That’s when she told me that the one and only Fleur had in fact been hiding amongst our FB group!

It really was bittersweet moment when we introduced them to each other- and it proved how absolutely amazing the internet can be, to be able to reunite 2 people that had never formally met before, but had sat next to each other at a show, 27 years earlier!

The most important question I wanted to Fleur/Jeff of course was ‘did Richard really threaten you?’ and surprisingly, the answer was yes.
