"Everythings' fine." Tony replied sharply. "I was just reminding the Sherriff that she has a job to do with protecting this town. I don't want any innocent people to die."
"Of course. No one does." Elijah responded easily. "Now then, Y/N. Niklaus is waiting for us and we shouldn't keep him waiting."
"Always a pleasure." You said to Tony, trying your hardest not to look smug as you headed off with Elijah out of Mystic Grill. You let out a groan the minute you exited, "God I hate him."
Elijah chuckled, giving you a look out of the corner of his eye. It was no secret that you in your police uniform happened to turn him on immensely. He thought you looked sexy with your tight black pants and blue policing shirt that brought your H/C eyes out more.

"Nik? 'Lijah?" You called out as you moved into the Mikelson Mansion living room. You dropped your leather briefcase on the table, going to collapse onto the sofa and wait for them. You tried hopping back up, shrieking, when you realized you'd sat on someone's lap, but strong arms held you down.

"Are these mine?" You asked, a short of laugh of disbelief coming from your lips.

Elijah chuckled. "Not happening princess."

And with Elena telling me to stay away from him, it’s exactly the opposite of her demands. What was once time to time meetings with my sister of seeing Elijah is now him constantly seeing me without my sister around. “Why are you doing this? What's so interesting about me?”

Fear coursed through my body, realizing what exactly was going on. I don’t like him like this. I don’t want this. I’ve never wanted vampires to be in my life. My hand instinctively pushes against Elijah’s chest, his body not even budging as I do so.
“Elena!” I managed to say her name before a firm arm wrapped around my waist, my vision blurry for a few seconds. What was once my family living room and kitchen was now an unfamiliar cabin home. Unfamiliar furniture surrounding me as I look around. “W-what…?” I stumble out of his grasp, my stomach churning at the sudden move.
“I apologize for my abrupt actions. I didn’t wish for your sister to…get between us.” He says casually.
I felt so dizzy and sick to my stomach. Not just from the fastest walk I've ever done in my entire life – even though I wasn't walking – but from the constant danger alarm blaring in the back of my mind.
“E-Elijah…why am I here? Why did you…” I couldn’t even form words. A hard wall is suddenly pressed up against my back, not allowing me to back away further from the vampire.
Elijah smiles gently at me, but It didn’t make me feel any better as he got closer. “You forgot your ring,” He completely ignores my questions, “So I grabbed it for you. It’ll be important for tomorrow, after all.”
He takes out the ring from his suit jacket pocket, his other hand grasping my right hand and putting it on my ring finger. “T-tomorrow…?” I stammer out.
“Yes. Our wedding,” It felt as if my eyes were bulging out of my skull, “You’ll be my Queen tomorrow.”
The constant butterflies flying in my stomach started to get worse. My ears started to ring out of nowhere, unable to hear Elijah’s words as he kept talking. He tricked me. That ring was an engagement ring.
And I accepted it.
I couldn’t comprehend Elijah's soft lips connecting with the crown of my head as he kissed it softly. I couldn’t feel his hands holding onto my head tightly. I could only hear the sound of my heart beating a million miles a minute and my breath leaving my body quicker.
I couldn’t comprehend the darkness taking over and my body falling limp into Elijah’s arms.

Origins
Vampires originate from ancient Mesopotamian times during the time of Sumer in the Middle East. Åse, the eldest daughter of Lucifer and Lilith, and her younger brothers Marcus and Dominic turned seven Warlocks into the first Vampires. These seven became known as the Original Vampires, more commonly called the Seven Sins.
Each one of them were carefully chosen by Åse from their coven of Warlocks by their main traits which she knew would be exaggerated by the spell used to turn them.
Each of the Sins, being created from magic and due to them originally being warlocks, each have magical traits specific to them and general traits from being an Original Vampire - most notably having six fangs, the typical four canines + the nearby incisors turn into canines as well.
Some of these Sin specific traits get passed down through their lineages - but the further from the source the less truly magical the Vampire is.
Sins’ Role in the Story So Far
The main Sins that are introduced early into the series are Lord Greed and Lady Lust who control the Vampires in North America and South America respectively. The rest of the Sins have their continental land claims throughout Eurasia and Oceania but don't interact with Aiden much at all until much later in the series.
Typical Vampire Abilities
A normal Vampire has enhanced speed, strength, stamina, and healing capabilities when compared to a human. They are more enhanced than the Shifters but still lacking when compared to more magical races like Demons.
They're weakened but not killed with sunlight, it's an irritation and can cause their healing capabilities to ‘stutter’ in a way that means their injuries may not heal properly the first time.
Beheading and ripping out their hearts will kill them, though general damage to their head and heart will kill younger and weaker vampires as well. Older vampires, especially those closer to the Sins, will be able to withstand a lot more damage to them without stopping.
For example, a young vampire might get stabbed through the heart - a stake or otherwise - and permanently die. An older Vampire can take the same damage and may not even flinch it.
Vampires in the first few generations after the Sins can actually be decapitated or have their heart ripped out and still survive for at least short periods of time before dying - with the potential for an ally to heal them/put them back together before they die.
Biology
Vampires of the Sins’ lineages cannot biologically reproduce and have children. Most can turn others into Vampires and continue their lineage though. Progenitor Vampires, or Sire Vampires, are Vampires that have turned others. Most authorized Sires in the modern age are at least several hundred years in age and guide their Progeny, or Fledgling, through an introduction to their new life. The Sire is responsible in full for all of the Fledgling's needs and anything that they may do that goes against the laws put in place.
It is revealed during the first novel that there is one lineage, not of the Sins, that can biologically reproduce. There are few of them and they keep hidden.
Laws & Rules to Govern Them
Vampires fall under the Kingdom of the Dead, one of three kingdoms that fall under the Empire of Hell. The Empire is ruled by Emperor Lucifer Morgenstern and Empress Lilith Morgenstern. Their three children together - Åse, Marcus, and Dominic - rule over a kingdom each, though Åse has been locked away for nearly a millennium and her two younger brothers have been keeping an eye on her kingdom. Since there is no direct ruler over the kingdom, the Sins as a council report directly to Emperor Lucifer and Empress Lilith and laws are passed down through the Sins from them.

I was going to just throw this in with a few other sketches in a group post, but I really liked how the Aut-punk horns and symbol on Seth’s t-shirt came out! So, it gets it’s own post ;)

The conversation of whether or not Hope should retain her ability to practice magic once she transitions into a vampire has been around since the Originals. With Hope currently in transition to become a vampire (as of the end of 4x3) this topic of discussion is a big one with the community/fandom right now. Personally, I think the answer to this question is yes, she should still be able to practice magic after her transition. The biggest argument I have seen raised around why this shouldn’t be the case is that it will go against the established lore and rules of the TVDverse, and I don’t agree with this sentiment. In the TVDverse, "Nature is the totality of phenomena of the physical world and is thought to be the invisible force behind all life that governs the universe. As the governing force of life, Nature has a number of "laws" or "rules" set in place, [b]although some are not always absolute[/b]. Most of these said laws deal with balance in which phenomenon can always be countered be it directly or indirectly." One of Nature's unbreakable laws is that [b]true immortality cannot exist[/b]. As stated on the vampire diaries wiki: "No living being can ever be truly immortal. Nature won't allow such a being to exist, as there's always a loophole."
In the Originals, it is said by Sophie Deveraux in the pilot episode that Hayley's pregnancy (i.e. Hope) is " one of nature's loopholes." It isn't until Legacies that we find out the reason behind why Nature allowed for Hope to exist is because of Malivore's existence. In 1x15 of Legacies. Clarke explains that an alliance between witches, werewolves, and vampires was formed which led to the creation of Malivore; who is [b]an immortal[/b] golem. When Qetsiyah created immortals she also created the Cure as true immortality cannot exist. When Esther attempted to do as Qetsiyah had and make her family immortal; she created the vampire species and did not create a "cure" to undo vampirism—so Nature did. It is said that during Esther’s spell she “called on the sun for life and the ancient white oak tree, one of Nature's eternal objects, for immortality.” The Earth is considered to be the physical manifestation of Nature by the witches which constantly provides them with the resources, such as herbs and tools, to neutralize or resolve all types of threats. Esther called upon something of Nature to give her family immortality and Nature made it so that thing that gave them their immortality could be used as a weapon against them to take it away (the sun which gave them life is also a thing that can now kill them as a vampire caught in sun without a daylight ring will burn to death).
On the wiki, it states that "presumably, the reason why another White Oak Tree appeared in history after the Originals destroyed the original White Oak tree was because of Nature needing to find balance, since it demands that everything dwelling in existence must have a mortal flaw, and that the Originals threatened to upset that balance without the existence of the one thing that could kill them, similar to how Doppelgänger are born." Because Nature cannot allow for there to ever be a true immortal being in the world it is thought that if the Originals had ever managed to destroy all the white oak in the world (as they had attempted to do when they burned down the white oak tree in their village) Nature would spawn a new one somewhere in the world as there needs to be a weapon capable of permanently killing an Original (thus the vampire species given how sirelines worked prior to Klaus's being broken) on Earth to maintain balance in the world. Hope is to Malivore what white oak is to the Original Vampires; a weapon placed in the world by Nature that makes it so that Malivore is no longer a true immortal unable to be permanently killed. It took an alliance formed by witches, werewolves, and vampires to create Malivore and it takes a being that is a witch-werewolf-vampire to kill Malivore.
The season finale of the first season of Legacies has Hope enter Malivore as a witch-werewolf hybrid with vampire blood constantly in her system. She had a vampire's blood, but she was not an actualized vampire. Thus she was unable to kill Malivore as she was missing that necessary component. The season one finale made it clear to the audience (and eventually Hope come season 2) that she needs to be a fully realized tribrid in order to truly defeat Malivore. Hope becoming a vampire only to lose that witch aspect of who she is wouldn't make her a tribrid; it would just make her a vampire-werewolf hybrid like her parents before her. This won't work. She needs to be a tribrid. To those who say that vampire-witch hybrids can't exist because it would go against Nature and the rules already established. . . I'd say that the Heretics already prove otherwise. The Heretics retained their ability to practice magic despite having been turned into vampires, because, like Hope, they are considered to be one of Nature's loopholes.
On the Heretics page of the wiki it says: "However, due to their unusual ability to siphon magic – and due to the fact that these abilities had not been accounted for during the creation of Nature's laws – the Heretics quickly learned that they, as vampires, could not only siphon magic from beings and magic, they could also siphon the magic keeping them alive as vampires, thus, creating a near endless source of power."
Heretics exist because they are a loophole to Nature's laws and Hope exists because of Nature's need for balance. Before Hope existed, Malivore was a true immortal being without a weapon on Earth capable of truly killing him. And while some laws of nature can bend, there are some laws that cannot be broken and true immortality is one of those laws. It took Nature time to find a balance to counter Malivore's existence in the world but eventually one came in the form of Hope Mikaelson. I believe that she will retain her ability to do magic after her transition because the existence of Heretics to me shows that the whole vampire-witch law is one of Nature's laws that can be bent and loopholed around but it the show has shown that true immortality is not. Nature's need for balance will override the law that dictates that Hope should lose her magic due to vampirism and she will be able to become an actualized tribrid because Nature requires a permanent way to kill Malivore and we have been shown that Hope being a hybrid will not cut it.
After her transitions, I think the show will try to make us believe that Hope can't do magic anymore though due to her line about how she will miss it in the dinner scene. It won't be because she can't physically do it however and be moreso because she believes can't. On the wiki, it says that:
Every creature on earth has skills and powers that characterize them. In the case of witches, any direct denial of their powers will cause nature to remove all of their magic until they accept their mistake and can fulfill their duty as servants of Nature.
I think her own self-doubt and denial because she won't be confident about her ability to do magic following her becoming a vampire will make her unable to do magic initially. However, something down the line, maybe similar to what happened with Bonnie when Enzo died will make her realize that she hasn't lost her ability to practice magic. And then she will be able to fully embrace her power as a full-powered tribrid.
